The Duct Cleaning Pros

Gutters were cleaned with a power washer. Leaves were not cleaned up. Sidewalks and patio stained from the tile roof. Tried very hard to sell me on cleaning my tile roof. I declined

DCP came out to inspect my HVAC ducts under my house. They told me some of the ducts needed to be replaced and that this was something they could do. To start, the technician was several hours late with out a call to inform me of this. My handyman was there to assist and I paid him for the entire time while we waited. Secondly, when installing the new ducts under my house, the technician cut the trusses that held up the old ducts and did not replace these trusses. As a result, over a couple of months the insulation on the new ducts became waterlogged from the occasional rain and some watering runoff under the house and subsequently fell apart and mildewed. My handyman went under the house a few months later and inspected the job and told me this. My handyman and I called the company and left a message about this. I emailed and even texted DCP as well and never got a response. Also, the DCP worker who replaced the ducts reported that there were unsanitary conditions under the house due to a leaky sewer pipe and rodent droppings. I have documentation from a handyman, an exterminator and a general contractor who inspected under the house and reported that there was no leaking sewer pipe and very minimal evidence of rodent activity. Eventually I had to contract with another provider on Angie's List to fix the duct job. They replaced all the ducts, including the now ruined ones that DCP had installed, which they showed me when they pulled them out. Due to the substantial cost incurred, I enlisted Angie's List to try to recover some of my costs from DCP. DCP never responded to either myself or the Angie's List representative.

As above. Also noted, no refund was given and I do not see a credit for the amount of $189 anywhere on my account. I will be calling on Monday to discuss further whether something can be done. An example is use that money towards another service.

The provider did good job on cleaning out the gutters, which was full of leaves due to several tall trees. They also cleaned the leaves off the ground. There was some misunderstanding at the beginning when I scheduled in the appointment but they were nice enough to come in at the appointed time at last minute to do the job in spite of the misunderstanding. I probably will use the provider again.

Awesome job! He arrived early and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Made recommendation for replacing the roof vent as the manufacturer installed vent does not allow dryer air/lint to flow out freely. Will definitely look into replacing the roof vent in the future with this company. Charged an additional $20 because he had to access the dryer vent tube from the roof, but not a problem at all. Overall A++++

The service went just fine. They did come out and performed the service to our satisfaction. I do not think there was any additional charge to the Big Deal cost. We would probably use them again. They were professional, courteous, and on-time. The quality of the service was acceptable. The price was competitive.

Quick and very professional

It was last year so I don't remember lots of details. I do know that our dryer doesn't quit as often mid cycle although it still does occasionally. Bedding is a problem no matter what.

I was extremely disappointed in the mess that made of my yard, decks and outdoor furniture I was even more disappointed by the absolute lack of responsiveness from angie's list when I wrote to complain about the mess-no reply to my email at all. If AL is going to circulate and thereby promote these "deals" I would expect AL to stand by the service

I've lived here for 13 years. I have four gates and I've had problems with one of them for the last 12 years! I'm normally a DIY person and have even done several major construction projects as owner-builder. After spending a lot of time and money on that gate it still wasn't working like I wanted it to. DCP Service Pros was cleaning my Dryer Vent and they had to come through that gate. Dan immediately knew how to fix it! I couldn't believe it. Why didn't I think of that? DCP does great work and has excellent prices!

They did a great job. There was no additional fee. They left a mess. I would probably not use them in the future.

The young man was very professional and friendly. I was a little leery about having someone running around on my roof on Friday the 13th, but thankfully he didn't fall off. He was very through in his work and I am very happy with the work that he did.

The provider showed up on time, and was very professional. The entire job took about 3 hours. They provided a few pictures before the cleaning to demonstrate how dirty the return vetns were. I would recommend this service to others.

The owner of the company didn't contact me as indicated after I bought the deal, I had to call a couple of times to get the appointment set. I bought the deal right over the new year holiday, so I won't make that a concern, but this person does not do the work either, he subcontracts someone else to do it, that was a surprise. The young man coming to our home was extremely punctual, he showed up right on time on the day of the job, he was friendly and basically did the job in the expected amount of time that I was told. What surprised me at this time was they don't hand-clean the gutters, but rather use a power wash to clean out the debris from the gutters. When he disclosed that to me and told me some debris might fall into the pool, I understood the consequence and approved to continue with the job. He said he would clean up the mess that fell on the walkways around the house though. At the end of it, I knew that the pool had debris it wasn't much at all, but I also assumed he would clean up the mess that fell on the walkways around the house a little better. I saw him with our hose and his push broom cleaning up. But after he left and I inspected closely, there was a lot of debris left on the ground, piles of leaves and clumps of matted mess, the worst area, was actually on our beautiful iron gate, it got splattered all over. He could have easily used the hose to wash it off. But didn't With the rain storm yesterday, we thought this would be the perfect test to see if the cleaning worked. One rain gutter at the 2nd story height specifically overflows and pours out in one spot in particular. Unfortunately this recent storm revealed that gutter wasn't cleaned properly because it still pours out at the same spot. at just about the same amount of force as before. Had the cleaning worked I'd give a better rating for the price. I wouldn't hire this company again.

When I looked to see if the vents were cleaned out I couldn't really tell a difference. They didn't leave any paperwork letting me know what they did.

He was friendly, courteous, and seemed knowledgeable. We did not have any issues with it. We knew what we were getting. We did not get any surprises when he was here. He did his job and went his way. He cleaned up after himself. There was an additional cost on top of the $179 Big Deal because we bought a filter from him. He recommended a more permanent air filter and we purchased one, but he did not tell us we had to. They came out probably with three to four days after we purchased the Big Deal. It was pretty quick I remember. The price was a pretty good price. He was like training somebody while he was here, but he did a good job.

I made the "Big Deal" purchase on 1/5/15 for $59. When the electronic purchase was made, it was set up so that I had to pick 3 appt times with choices only available Mon-Fri, between 8am-5pm. I had already looked at this company's reviews, and saw they were actually advertising as open 7 days a week, M-F 8am-7pm & weekends 9am-5pm. Since I do not get home from the office until after 4pm, I selected 3 different days, but all at 4:30 pm. I planned to work out the schedule with the provider when I spoke to them personally, and was hoping for either a 4:30 pm appt or a weekend appt. I did not receive any contact from the provider as stated would happen in the initial purchase, so I phoned them on Friday, 1/9/15. I spoke with Dan, and explained I had not heard from them after purchasing last Monday, so I was calling to schedule an appt. He was defensive in nature and abrupt for being in customer service. He stated he had sent me an email, but when I told him I checked my email before contacting him and had not rec'd anything from his company, he merely repeated he had sent it out. He then complained about the fact that I selected 4:30 appt times, and when he verified I lived "way out" in Elk Grove, he definitely made it difficult to schedule an appt. He appeared disinterested in my business, and stated he only did work out in Elk Grove when he could schedule 3-4 appts around the same time. When I questioned weekend appts and that his business hours are listed until 7pm M-F, and Sat-Sun 9-5pm, he was not willing to come out to Elk Grove during those times, and further stated "especially at this discounted rate". He then placed me on hold for a moment, and returned to ask me if my dryer vent was located on the roof. I confirmed yes, stating I explained that in the "Details" section when I made the original purchase online. He then said he would be willing to come out IF I was willing to purchase his special "dryer jack" product to place on the roof vent. I told him I'd have to get back to him, and called Angie's List instead to request a refund. They were accommodating in providing a refund.

Initially, there were a lot of starts and stops. Part of this was due to weather, part due to the fact that it was just prior to Christmas and they were also installing Christmas lights. My only issue was with communication with the office. After the initial contact we didn't hear back for quite a while and there was some uncertainty about when the service would occur. I don't mind having to wait for a service and I understand when things come up and it's necessary to reschedule. I just want to be informed promptly so I can adjust my schedule. On the day of service the technician was here on time, was extremely friendly and professional and I was very pleased with the quality of the work. Overall I was very pleased with this service and would definitely use it again.
