Joseph Palencia is a scam artist and he’s been cheating people out of money for years. I wished I would have known this guy by all his different businesses he has. I used him under the AVS Pros business he took money never completed the work and for product he never ordered.

Joseph stole my money. He took the money for cost of materials which was over $1,000 dollars. I trusted him because he was a referral from a co-worker and had done previous work on my house successfully. He requested I pay him for materials up front so that he could order. When I called to schedule he let me know he was on a big job and couldn't make it out. 1 year later he still refused to make it out to complete the work and did not refund my money. I continued to I ask that my money be returned and he stopped responding. I encourage whoever he steals from to make a police report. This is theft. He was also verbally abusive to his poor son who was assisting him with previous work he had done which made me very uncomfortable There are over 20 negative yelp reviews for others who also had their money stolen from Joseph :(

Joseph Palencia took $350.00 from me, one very dishonest person. He cashed a check he should have never has cashed. I have the complete text messages going back and forth with me... one very dishonest person. I'm out $350.00 dealing with this guy it's been going on for about for months now. I am not giving up on my money. I found this dishonest person on angieslist.... beware of this person. Mr Palencia arrived the day after I called and described my need to connect my receiver to a new satellite antenna. He described possible ways of setting up the connection and what type of antenna would be appropriate. He brought the decided-upon antenna the next day, installed it as we decided, and made connections to the receiver. In addition, he helped program another tv to show captions and to connect to our in-home wi-fi system. When I could not get the new tv, the receiver, and the new antenna to connect to each other, he returned a third day. He programmed the system to use the correct satellite. Because I had the wrong remote control, he provided the correct control for my receiver. He provided services beyond my original request. He knew the correct codes to get the components "talking" to each other, not only for the newer system I was installing, but for the system already in use in the house. All without extra charges for his time and knowledge.

Mr. Palencia arrived on time and did an evaluation of our existing system. He was very polite and efficient. Upon examination of our existing system, he told me we needed a new subwoofer and a dual amplifier to run the speakers throughout the house and on the patio. He was able to adjust the sound going to the speakers in the family room to make them sound much better. I paid him with a check for $85, however, I failed to get a receipt. I gave him my email address to send me some selections of subwoofers and amplifiers. I did not hear back from him with the information. After a couple of calls and texts, he sent me the information I needed to complete our system. The fact that I had to do all the follow-up calling is my only complaint with this business.

I called to have an estimate for a home theater installation. I was very impressed at first with response, punctuality, and the informative the team. The estimate came in later than expected, but the bid is competitive. They are also willing to accommodate work we want done that other Home Theater company's don't normally do. This makes the process a whole lot smoother for sure! They also seem very willing to give suggestions and offer special pricing for audio and flat panels. I will update this once the work is complete.

I searched the internet for someone locally to install a tv antenna on my roof and provide an estimate. Joseph Palencia, technical consultant, came to my home and provided a written estimate. He took the time to explain what the job would entail. He showed up promptly, gave me some better ideas as to the installation, tested the tv outlets upon installation, made sure everything was in working order, cleaned up as needed. When he presented the bill he went over the charges. Professional job. Mr. Palencia and his crew were courteous and efficient. I highly recommend this company.
