Drywall Done Rite

Scott was totally knowledgeable and professional. He listened to what we wanted, offered suggestions for best ways to accomplish our wishes. He was prompt and careful to keep areas clean and contained of debris, and completed jobs as promised in addition to a few small areas. The texturized walls blend so well with existing walls that we can't even tell where the repair was done. And we got a senior discount.

Due to a plumbing issue, we had a hole made in our family room ceiling. Scott scheduled me in right away, arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. He did a perfect job. He is very pleasant and I would absolutely use him again.

Scott is wonderful. He textured our living room and ceiling using an "old-world" style technique. We live in Land Park and wanted the house to look as it did when it was built in 1947. The spray-on texture just doesn't fit with these style of homes. Scott was very professional and punctual. We will be contacting him again when we are ready to texture the rest of the home.

Scott is the kind of guy I joined Angies list to find. He does excellent work and his prices are very reasonable. He is really nice guy. Don't let the fact that he doesn't have a contractors license scare you away. He doesn't need one for jobs under $500 and he is no longer doing jobs over that amount. He has over 35 years experience and does what he says he is going to do. It is without hesitation that I recommend him.

I called Scott in the morning and he came out that afternoon and provided a free estimate of the cost of the work. He was on time and was very friendly. His bid was reasonable and better than most other bids. I called and set up a time for him to perform the work. He was on time and got right to work. He protected all areas he worked in with drop clothes and plastic. He cleaned all areas when he was finished. He was able to complete all work in one day. The work turned out fantastic. I highly recommed Scott for your project.

Called Scott, left a message and he returned my call in a timely manor. We arranged a time to meet for an assessment and estimate. He arrived on schedule. Initially he felt that the required work exceeded his $500 maximum and refered me to another company. I attempted to contact the other company, left a message, but they did not return my call. I decided to eliminate some the repairs, opting to defer them for another time. I called Scott back and told him if I defered some of the work to a latter date did the remaining work come within his maximum and he said that it did. Great, so we sceduled a date to complete the repairs. He showed up on time and did the required work. I was very empressed with his work and realized I had under estimated how much effort and talent was required to complete the job. I would recommend him to anyone requiring this type of repair work. Scott seems to fill a nitch, small sheetrock repair jobs, which he does very well. I plan on using his services again to complete the remaining work that I still need done.

Scott is amazing to work with....keeps his word when he says what he will do and then does what he says. He was punctual and clean and was respectful in your home! Will certainly be using him in the future and would recommend him with full confidence. When we called for the initial consultation...he arrived on time and told us everything up front about what the job would require. When the work began, he arrived on time and worked quickly and efficently bringing all the material needed for the job. He completed the job when he said he would and even corrected some areas that we didn't expect to be part of the job! It is rare to find someone who works with Scott's integrity and professionalism!

I called Scott about a small drywall repair around the edge of a bathroom window. He provided an initial estimate and we discussed what needed to be done based on photographs I emailed him. He showed up on time and confirmed the extent of the repair. Job was completed in the amount of time he estimated. He did a great job protecting the work area, retexturing the wall and preparing it for painting. Very clean, knowledgable and courteous. Scott gave me some great advice regarding primering and painting. I highly recommend him for any type of drywall repair project. - he takes great pride in his work!

Scott came by for an estimate and was very agreeable and professional. We agreed on price. His estimate was one day of work on the following week. He worked a long day, but he finished it on that same day. He works fast and efficiently. The result is of very good quality and exactly what we we were looking for. Once painted with subtle faux-finish, it will look just like an old plaster wall. Scott is super friendly and professional. We could see that he enjoys his job and that quality craftsmanship is important to him. While looking at another room I had finished myself, he noticed a damaged wall and a place where the mudding could be improved to conceal a badly installed drywall. He fixed these for free!

Scott is the contractor I wish all contractors could be. He is courteous, punctual, says what he will do and does it, and is a true master of his craft. He came in with the best price of four estimates I received, and from the time he started explaining how he would accomplish the job, I knew he was the guy for it. He even stayed an extra two hours beyond what he thought he would have to just because he wanted a rough joint line to be perfect (after ensuring it was OK to do so with us). He is a perfectionist and an artist with wall texturing. To top it off, he brought us a bag of cherry tomatoes from his garden. Yep, Scott is our drywall guy for as long as he's in business.

This gentleman, Scott Day of Drywall Done Right, was the low bidder and had the best reputation on Angie's List among those that do drywall work and texturing. He told us he could not ask more than $500.00 because he did not have the license that would allow him to charge more. We had a large hole in our ceiling that needed insulation and sheet rock repair and the whole living room ceiling had to be re-textured. Scott did a beautiful job. We were very happy. It's one of those cases where the living room ceiling looks so good we might have to redo the whole house now. If we do, I'm calling Scott.

He was responsive to my request, set a time promptly, and came and gave a quick and good estimate.I thought he was knowledgable in his description of how he would fix the problem. I thought his estimate and description of work was reasonable and competitive with the other estimates I got. The fact that I didn't finally award him the bid is not a reflection of my confidence in his ability to do the job professionally and at a good price. I don't have personal experience with his work, though. He just seemed like a pleasant, skilled professional.
