I paid $800 for trimming of my trees. My overall experience is good and I will use them again in the future.

After being stood up by another tree service I happened upon Charles Tree Service in my local Albertsons parking lot. I walked up and asked if they could do some work at my home and Charles promptly said and ldquo;are you close, let's go have a look so I can give you an estimateand rdquo;. We drove to my home where he provided a very good estimate to remove 3 large trees plus stump removal, and prune 11 of my large palm trees. He said he could start the same day. I agreed and upon my return from work almost all of the work had already been completed. Charley and his staff did an excellent job of removal, pruning and cleanup and I would DEFINETLY use them again. It's hard to find reliable people in this line of work and if my experience is any indication I recommend Charles Tree Service without hesitation.

When I first called him he didn't return our call. It took him a few weeks to call us back but once we agreed to have him come out he came out immediately. He then called us back and it took a f for him to come out. After researching his web site I decided to that he was nice and I would give him a chance. I picked him because his price was in the middle of our other estimates. When he did come out to do our trees he totally neglected taking care of our property. We ended up having problems with debris in our yard. They were suppose to put either tarp or some kind of protection to protect our windows from this debris. We had family members sitting in front of the windows while they were removing all this. They should have taken precaution in protecting our windows. He also promised to level the area after the removed the stump but it never happened. They didn't grind what they were suppose to and they didn't remove it properly. I really don't know if they grounded it down like they said they would. We ended having to take care of it. I asked him numerous times to come take care of the debris and take care of the debris but this didn't end up happening. He claimed that someone was suppose to come out and take care of it. After he said that someone came out I only saw a minimal difference. I couldn't tell if it was just from the wind or if they actually did the work.

Charles and his two workers arrived promptly at the designated time and proceeded to work. The dug around the trees. then pulled them back and forth until they were able to remove them in one piece and take them out to their truck to be ground up. The whole process for the two tree took 1 hour. They cleaned up the site and I thought they had dug out the roots as Charles said they would. The ornamental plum site was easy to replant because the tree was dead. When I looked in the hole where the palm tree was located, they had only removed 4 inches of debris. I called Charles back and he told me he wasn't aware that I wanted to plant something in the spots again. He sent his two man crew back the next day and they dug for 1 more hour still leaving most of the palm roots. I have spent 4 hours in 1 hour increments working at the hole since then. I feel like Charles and his crew should have done the job correctly the first time out. He should have come with his crew the second time to make sure it was done right that time. I would not use them again because they do not work hard and make sure the job is done right the first time.

The crew arrived on time and went right to work. They generated a lot of lumber which went right into their wood chipper. The work is, as you might expect, noisy. They worked fast and cleaned up thoroughly. When the need arises I'll call them again.

In my original review the work of cutting down the palm tree was only half completed and they did not come back when they said they would. After a call to Charles, whereby he explained to me that he had lent his truck to one of his employees (I had no idea that this was not Charles since the truck had the business name on it) to do a side job (my palm tree) he was at our house the next day, finished the job and cleaned up as well. I gave him the remaining money that we owed and I am a very satisfied customer. I will definitely call Charles again.

The job took 2 and 1/2 days and one day was about 12 hours long. Charles and his crew were here early and worked well together. They cut all of the tree limbs to manageable lengths that can be later chopped into smaller pieces for firewood. The rest of the tree parts were put into a chipper and hauled away. The palm tree was cut down and hauled away also.

Charles came out within the week and got the job done. They were fast, and clean; I definitely would use them again!

He asked if I wanted to save the wood at first I said no, then I changed my mind. He then cut into small pieces for me to put in my fireplace. He is very personable, on time, he came the day after I called for the service. He was very prompt, very good service. I would recommend him to anyone.
