+ 0 moreAlex answered my phone call at 5:00 PM and was at my house at 6:00PM. He took a look at the deadbolt and noticed that it was not installed properly. He corrected the installation by making a few adjustments and now the lock operates as intended. He was very professional, courteous, and recommend to anyone on angieslist.
Description of Work: Front door dead bolt was getting stuck and was very tough to operate. I needed Alex to come out and fix this issue so the deadbolt would operate as intended.

+ -1 moreCalled around for an emergency missing key replacement for one of my machines on a sunday afternoon and everyone else said they couldn't do it. When I call A1 he came he said he could do it and would be there in 15 minutes. Showed up in 15 minutes and hammered out a custom key replacement. Also it was CHEAP!!!. If your looking for a good locksmith use this guy!
Description of Work: Replace a missing key for a floor polishing machine.

+ -1 moreI did not use his services so I cannot comment on his overall workmanship. However, if it is anything like his initial conversation, then I would be very cautious about scheduling an job with this locksmith
Description of Work: Called this locksmith for an estimate and to schedule an appointment. He was very elusive and would not give me a straight answer. I also had difficulty understanding him. He was not helpful and extremely unwilling to cater to any custom jobs. I don't understand where all the "A" grades are coming from. I would definitely recommend another locksmith.

+ 0 moreHe was prompt, quick and well priced. I would definitely use him as my regular locksmith.
Description of Work: I called to get into an apartment unit in which the tenant had the lock changed and we did not have a key. He called me 3 hours prior to our scheduled meeting time to let me know that he would 20 minutes late due to another project that was taking more time. I told hi m that was okay. He arrived at the time he said and we went over the costs. He start to pick the lock and he was done in 2 minutes or less. He suggested that I not have him re-key the lock, because that lock was of poor quality and I could buy a better one for less than his fee. He actually saved me $12.00 with that suggestion. He was very nice and did not charge a lot like most companies.

+ -1 moreI got locked out of my house at midnight, so they had to come out and let me in. I didn't dislike anything. This is the second time I have used them and they are wonderful. They respond right on time and actually this second time he came right out at midnight without any problems whatsoever. They took care of the problem. The overall experience was excellent. I think they are reasonable and in the same ballpark as most locksmiths.
Description of Work: I used A-1 Qwikfix Locksmith Service to get into my house after I got locked out.

+ -1 moreI had purchased an older home with 2 exterior doors, both with security doors. I had 8 locks and 4 keys which was very annoying. The locksmith arrived on time, re-keyed 6 locks and did a very professional job. It took longer than expected only because one of the locks was quite odd and he had to spend an hour just on the one but he got it done. I was very impressed and would highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreAlex responded promptly to emails. After speaking with him over the phone he had to refer me to Juan, another locksmith who had the equipment needed to program the transponder key. Juan had a key made in about 15 minutes. Both guys are very professional and the price was reasonable compared to the dealer ($150). Highly recommend both of them.

+ -1 moreAlex showed up on time, we walked through the house and I pointed out all the locks I needed done. He was very professional and quickly went about getting the job done. The job was harder than we thought because some of the doors/locks were misaligned, and he spent more time than estimated getting everything changed. However, he didn't charge me for all the "overtime" at the end of the job (for example, he spent 30 min trying to get a bolt off that had stripped threads). He kept me updated on progress and everything he was doing. All-in a great experience. Would recommend him highly.
Description of Work: Moving into a new house, so I asked Alex to rekeyed 7 locks, installed a new lock, and see if he could fix a front door latch that was not catching.

Description of Work: Had a door lock that was broken and could not open the door. It wasn't a routine problem. Took some extra effort to solve the problem but Alexandro persisted until the problem was solved and the door opened.
