Wilson Electric

Installed incandescent cans (6") with retrofit LED lights, dimmer switches, and added ceiling fan supports in two rooms. Moved bedroom #1 ceiling fan support to the center of the room, added new ceiling fan support in bedroom #2, and ran wiring from switch to lights (no drilling, beams from switch to attic were magically already open). Job was clean, however, extra wiring was lying around the attic (I went up, tied it up, and made it look neater).

Steve was very professional, courtesy and punctual for this job. He always called when he was on his way (for estimate and actual work) so that I would know when he was arriving. Messages were responded to quickly before and after the job. Installation was spot on and he went the extra mile to explain how everything worked or should work. Unfortunately, I purchased the wrong portable generator to connect to the transfer switch, but Steve offered to come back at a later date for free to help me connect and test the new generator and also to load balance the switch. I would highly recommend Steve for any electrical work you may have.

The salesman, Brian, responded quickly to our call and came out to the house at the time we agreed on. He asked good questions and listened to everything we wanted, giving us a preliminary quote on the spot. He then contacted his supplier to get pricing and find out what fans would work best for us. The fan we decided on had to be ordered, and we agreed on a date for the work to be performed. He kept us informed through the whole process. Steve Wilson and his assistant Anthony arrived at the time we agreed on and completed the basic installation that morning. Anthony came back in the afternoon to patch and mud the hole. He returned Saturday morning to complete the mudding and apply 2 coats of paint on the entire hall ceiling. They covered the floor under the work area and cleaned up well each day. The fan works well and they were able to combine the old hall light switch with the new controller, making it look much better. We're pleased with the work and how nice the hall looks afterwards.

They did a great job and pleasure to work with. They worked fast and kept the place clean. They were fair with the costs, let me know what to expect upfront, and honored their price even if it was a little more work for them in the end.

The Electrician arrived on time and asked me questions about what was happening, and where it was happening. He asked to look at my electrical panel, then asked me a few more questions. He checked the electricity flow at various affected parts of the house, then he stated his intention to remove a certain light fixture and check it for electricity flow. I asked him why and he said he was going to establish a starting point. At this point, I thought it would take forever. Then I remembered a burning smell some weeks ago at the light fixture one step closer to the electrical panel, and he suggested that fixture instead. He immediately found the problem and had it repaired immediately. Total service time was about 1 hour. He was great to work with, and efficient and effective. I would definitely recommend Wilson Electric, and use them again.

Service provider arrived in a timely manner, checked the problem, determined the location of the problem, and corrected the problem. I was very satisfied with the overall experience.

Steve came to the house fixed my issue! I am very pleased with a job well done! I will be using wilson electric in the future!

I cannot post on their work because they were 3 hours behind schedule/never showed. I called to confirmed my appointment day of and was told that they tried calling me multiple times and could not get me on my cell to let me know they were running a little behind. I checked my call log and saw no such call(s). Okay, I gave them that much that i could have missed the call but then 1 hour turned into 2 hours turned into 3 hours. No follow up call to let me know they are extremely behind and if I would like to reschedule. And i was watching my phone like a hawk. So, I called and canceled because my gut told me to and I had another appointment to attend to. Have no reason to lie about missed call because I was excited about expecting these guys and getting the work done. Especially, after reading the awesome reviews on Angies. It is a little frustrating this experience with Wilson. Regardless, weight is low against unperformed services I wanted to provide customers with this insight.

They said they do not install ceiling fans in Mobile Homes...the fan's are already installed! Do they not know how to read? They just lost out on a good job, two ceiling fans to be looked at due to excessive movement and an outlet that was sparking...they didn't even address that request! I have used Angies List 7 times now over 7 monthsand none of the request have been negotiated! What did I pay for?

The house is in escrow and this needed to be fixed before it closed. I needed it done really fast and the office worked with me to get it done ASAP. They said Guy would be there between 9:00 and 10:00 on Friday morning and I think he pulled up at 9:05. I can't ask for more than that. After looking at what I needed done, Guy finished it quickly and for only the price of the service call. We had talked about the possibility of having to run a completely new circuit so I was prepared for a much worse circumstance and a much bigger bill. Thanks Wilson Electric. I have some electrical work that I am going to need done at the new house. When the time comes, I'll be calling.

I contacted Wilson Electric on Friday, July 26, 2013 regarding a special I had received in an Angie's List email for a fan installation. Within 30 minutes, they had emailed me back to set up a day and time to come over. We emailed back and forth over the next hour to set something up, and came to their first available appt which was Monday morning. The next day, Brian from Wilson Electric called me and said they might be able to come a little bit earlier due to a prior appointment lessening the amount of work being done. I told them that was fine, and it actually worked out better for me. The technician, Guy, actually arrived a bit early to do the work. He was extremely professional, putting down a full dropcloth (the outlet was directly over my bed) and getting right to work. He was here for approximately 45 minutes, fan and light installed perfectly. I am planning on having them out again to install at least 2 more ceiling fans in the home, and would recommend them to anyone looking for work. Guy was punctual, professional, and did a great job.

They were fantastic. Punctual, courteous, clean. Would recommend!

It went great. Electrician was pleasant, went about his business and completed the job promptly. He also cleaned up after himself and was sure to leave me the warranty information.

George showed up around the time he said he would. We went over the project first and talked about the options. He mentioned some of the difficulty in what we wanted to do(3 switches in our main room to control all the recessed lighting) He was quick, made sure everything was the way we wanted, and was easy to talk to. We would use wilson electric again for future projects!

They came, they saw, they conquered! Great job!

Installer arrived and reviewed the design layout for the placement of the recessed lighting. Then, he laid out protective sheeting over the kitchen counters and floor, and removed the old 4-lamp 4' long fluorescent ceiling lighting fixture. He marked off where the lighting would be installed and checked with me for approval of the locations. Next, he drilled six 6" holes with a special drill that had a cover plate to catch the plaster pieces and dust that would otherwise make a huge mess. He installed the six lights quickly and professionally. He cleaned up everything after he was finished with the work. The whole process took a couple of hours.

I had arranged for the service a month ahead to fit my vacation. I had an estimate on the additional lighting that was not part of the coupon deal. I had no idea what to do with the bathroom and the suggestions made for that and the hallway worked out great. The lighting was installed in very short time and the drywall work was done the following day. I felt bad that he had to carry all his equipment upstairs on such a hot day. He managed to get all the drywall work done in one day, it had planned for a day and a half, so I was happy the work was finished early. I was able to paint the following day and put everything back in place. The work done was very good and I will use them again in the future.

Guy did a great job and was able to place the outlet so that it was somewhat camouflaged, which is exactly what I asked for.

Most pleasant young man... unfortunately he got a parking ticket as he was bringing in his tools...no more than two minutes.still took total responsibly ...He was a TERRIFIC electrician .cleaned up after and was most careful about the beds , furniture ,etc Would most definitely hire again for any further electrical work. Cannot say enough good thing about him. ONe small problem was in start time,but work was so well done I would forgive them.

The whole process went very smoothly from start to finish.

Hired Wilson Electric to upgrade our home lighting. They installed 24 LED can lights to the interior of the house, new dimmer switches, new outdoor lighting over the garage, added new lighting for the interior of the garage and install new conduit and wiring to our kitchen. Overall they did a good job. They showed up in time and had 4 electricians on site to complete the work.They stayed late (way after dinner time) to try and finish up in one day. Finally had to send them home and arrange a second visit. I liked the dedication of the crew to stay late. We did have trouble with the dimmer switches they had recommended. The lights would flicker off and on even when the switch was off. They said they would try a few different switches but we had trouble getting the estimator/job manager to return our calls and get them to fix the switches. After several attempts, we ended up having to call the owner directly to get a response. Pricing of the work was comparable to other estimates we received. They also installed lighting over our washer and dryer not exactly where we needed the light. Partially my fault since I was supposed to give them better access before they arrived. Not sure if I would hire them again because of the trouble we had getting them to come back and fix the dimmers. Loved the crew but the customer service needs improvement.

I initially contacted Wilson Electric via e-mail. I provided a brief description of the work I wanted done and asked for a ballpark estimate. I received a reply back very quickly and based on my description of the work needed, Wilson was able to give me a solid quote via e-mail, without having to come and physically visit the job site. I was pleased with the quote and I called the company and set up a date and time for service. The evening prior to our scheduled service call, the company called me to confirm and also asked if it was okay if the technician arrived a little early. On the day of service, the technician did indeed arrive early, as promised. All work was done very quickly, and professionally. The technician quickly understood that my wife was the person in charge, so he would ask me to have her come take a look at the installation whenever there was a question. Once work was complete, the site was cleaned and returned to the same condition it was in prior to the work being started. I would definitely recommend Wilson Electric and certainly would use them again for any electrical contracting needs which may arise.

Steve was able to come out quickly and provide the estimate. Brian handled all of the scheduling with Edison to do the spot check on the new panel. After agreeing to the reasonable quote George, Guy and Steve arrived promptly to do the work next week and did a great job. They used blankets to protect my laminate floors and installed the ceiling fans with minimal amount of holes in the drywall. They have a great guy that fixed the drywall the next week and you can not even tell they cut any holes. The kitchen outlets looked great under the cabinets. Their work was well done and I will not hesitate to call them again for future electrical needs.

I saw their coupon on the website and called them. Bryan answered my phone call. I had a very tight schedule but they get the work done promptly. The lights were installed in the kitchen ceiling where we used to have old style lighting well. The result looks perfect. The price is very good too.

The overall experience was good and I am happy with the service Wilson Electric provided.
