Response from Western Heating Air Conditioning & Plumbing
Dear [remove member name], I have attached the last copy of our findings as to the condition of yor unit. Along with pictures explaining oour findings and concerns. We have not been back to your home since. I noticed you have a service date of March 17,2014. Our visit was last summer in 2013. We responded your concerns back in SEPTEMBER when you asked there was no Refrigerant added to your unit. Your unit is in need of serious repair and it would be quite irresponsible to add refrigerant to your unit. Western Heating Air Conditioning & Plumbing9/14/2013 Western Heating Air Conditioning & Plumbing 9/10/2013 Your system appears to have ben running with out a filter for a very long time, in-fact there is no filter rack anywhere on the duct system, also there are large gaps in your return air plenum allowing unconditioned dirty air into the system this is why the unit in not running to factory specifications. The total external static of your unit was 7.6, factory is 5.0 maximum this gives you a rated cfm of 975 (system requires 1200) your suction presure was 58 psi with a 1 degree super heat, standard is 69psi with 10 degree super heat. Bottom line your unit needs a lot more work than tune up. I have attached the pictures of your unit. It is a sub standard installation. IF you feel you were over charged please contact Angies List we will be happy to refund your 79.00 Sincerely, WESTERN HEATING A/C & PLUMBING 562-809-9122 h4.jpg (157KB) h7.jpg (136KB) h6.jpg (123KB) h5.jpg (94KB)
