Robert is a very friendly guy, and is a hit or miss in terms of contact. The first time I'd asked him for an estimate he set up a day to swing by and never did. The second time I tried him, a year later, he not only answered calls and returned calls, but he actually called to let me know he was running late (which is something no one ever seems to do anymore). For prep work I had the room emptied prior to their arrival (moved out all the furniture) and laid out and taped paper sheets to the floor to minimize any scratches/damage from falling debri/mud, per their recommendation. PRO: Charged what he quoted me for, which was a good price for the amount of work to be done. CON: Reminded me more than a few times how great a deal it was. PRO: He and his partner were easy to talk to and polite enough. CON: A family friend of theirs stopped by (don't remember the reason) the worksite (my home) and hung out and talked with them for a good 20+ minutes. PRO: Completed the work satisfactorily, and the quality shows... almost seamless in-between sheetrock panels, and seamless in-between walls and ceiling. CON: Did not perform ANY clean-up work. Splattered drywall mud was on some walls/doors/windowsills and it was left there as is, not to mention all the dust/dirt/mud on the floors (or paper covering the floors). Place was a mess... but to be fair, we did not discuss clean-up, I just assumed it was a part of the deal, because I clean up after myself. The last person that did drywall for me cleaned-up, maybe I'm expecting too much... PRO: Completed the work on time as scheduled. CON: Gave me much higher estimate for other parts of the house due to their smaller size and having to stop by to work on such a small job.
