Chris came to my home on time and asked if there was anything specific he needed to check. I knew I had a leak and pointed out where that was. He said he would check that out and the entire roof and would bring me photos of what he found. He quickly found the bad part of the roof and pulled of the tiles to see how bad it was. He checked the rest of the roof and found a couple of tiles that were not attached to the roof properly. Chris showed me the photo of the damage and said he would replace the the plywood at no additional charge and the tiles were OK, the leak was caused by a tile that was not properly attached and had slid out of position exposing the underlayment. He completed the repairs and cleaned up the yard where some debris had fallen. Chris was thoroughly professional, answered all of my questions and I will definitely give his name to anyone who needs roofing work done. I could not be happier.

Overall, Chris did a great job, he took the time to explain to me about the roofing problem i had (roof leak). And he took the time in detail to repair the leak around the chimney, instead of rushing it. Also showed me the before and after pictures after the job was done.

Completed perfectly. Chris was on time and ready to work! He cleaned my filthy roof which took the entire day and then evaluated the condition of the roof and tiles. He went to Home Depot and bought the tiles and materials needed to repair my roof and simply added the cost to the bill. He completely cleaned up theconsiderable mess-including what went into the neighbors yard. Overall- a fantastic job! I would definitely use Chris again and would recommend him to anyone!!

We knew we had a leak (drywall damage) and there was a storm coming by the end of the week. I called Chris the same day I bought the Big Deal. He agreed to get us in by the end of the week. Chris and his son showed up on Friday morning, inspected the roof and gave us the bad news, via pictures from his iPhone. I agreed to an additional charge to cover the work outside of that agreed to in the Big Deal. Chris went out, got all the materials needed, came back and went to work. What was supposed to be a two - three hour job turned into six hours. Here's the thing - Chris and his son stayed after dark to ensure the job was finished right. I think he had to postpone the next job he had scheduled. Sure enough, that night there was the ultimate test - wind, rain and hail! His work passed with flying colors. I've asked Chris to give us an estimate to replace the rest of the roof. It's rare to find someone who's honest and reliable these days. Weathermaster Roofing is one of those rare commodities. I've already recommended Chris to my friends here at work. I'm sure you will not be dissapointed by the quality of his work, his professionalism, and his ethics. I know I was impressed.

my roof is pretty old and had a couple of leaks, one particularly bad. I purchased a coupon from Weathermaster Roofing Services and I couldnt be happier with the results. They where right on time, did a whole roof inspection, identified the problems and fixed them and took pictures at every step to show me the damage and how it was repaired. You don't get this level of professionalism very often, particularly for the price (I had other contractors give me estimates before and where more than 2x of what I paid!). Chris gave me great advice. He is a personable guy, knowledgeable and honest. It is refreshing to once in a while encounter people like this.

Chris Wilder was there exactly when he said he would, frankly had to wait for me for 5 minutes. He is super friendly, brought the appropriate help with him, and wet right to work. He identified where my leak was, explained it and showed me everything. My experience with roofers is most don't want to work on flat roofs, but he didn't blink. He knew all the terminology, and explained how things used to be done, and how I should improve it in the future. He sent me a quote for an entire replacement as promised that evening, even though I told him it wasn't a rush, as I am I'm the middle of other projects right now, so can't replace the roof just yet. I'm definitely considering doing it sooner than later, due to his quote being EXTREMELY reasonable in my opinion. 2 days later had a hard rain, and guess what? NO LEAKS!! Chris? first job for us, a couple of years ago, was a strong, beautiful new roof in preparation for solar panels. This time, a routine termite inspection by our pest control company uncovered damage to numerous rafter tails under the eaves plus mold damage to some patio cover slats?all of which we planned to have Chris fix after termite fumigation. Unfortunately, the weight of the fumigation tent and/or tenting process caused our 30-year-old chimney cap to dent in and hold rain water, which then dripped down into the fireplace! Fortunately, Chris saved the day quickly! Like our prior experience with Weathermaster Roofing Services, Chris Wilder was awesomely responsive, thoughtful, cheerful, and communicative?and reasonably priced! Chris provided structurally sound and aesthetically beautiful work including: rafter-tail roof repairs, rain gutter cleaning, patio slat replacement, caulking, perfectly matched painting, and a custom fit chimney cap. Saw he had a $200 coupon & we didn't need much done to roof so called Chris. I looked at other reviews & they stated just to have someone come out would cost a minimum of $350. He fixed the tiles on the roof that were on the edge and you can't even tell they are replacements. He also cleaned debris off the roof & inspected all the gutters & vents. He was prompt & courteous. I called him in the afternoon & he was out the next morning.

Chris has done roofing work for me on my other rental property and also on our main property so this is the 3rd time we've used him. He's absolutely one of the best tradesmen I have in any field. He is always professional, efficient, and does top notch work. He is very quick to respond in complete detail via email (my preferred communication method), and when I've called him, he's been very good on the phone too. For this job, our new rental property went through the general inspection, and the inspector noted that there might be a few areas of the roof that looked like they were failing and we should have a professional roofer do further investigation. The next day, our chimney inspection pointed out that the roof looked like it was in need of a lot of attention. I called Chris to give us the full look and he came out the next day. He said it was a 25 year shingle and had been installed 23 years ago so it really had fulfilled its useful life. There were areas where the fiberglass was showing through, and areas where some recent repairs had been done but subpar. He took pictures and labeled the problem areas for us, and also suggested that there were insufficient vents in the attic. We asked him to bid replacing the roof. He suggested we do an overlay since there was only one layer there already and you can do up to two. He gave us a very reasonable price and to our delight, it included adding the proper venting, something he always does without being prompted. We scheduled for him to do the work the day after we closed escrow, and he accommodated that exact date request. He had materials delivered on a Friday, had one of his worker start on that same day, and he and his crew worked Saturday and they were done by late afternoon. We had planned for it to go into Sunday if needed, but rain was predicted (and came) Sunday and they were done, cleaned up and out of there by the end of Saturday, the 2nd day. The roof looks beautiful, and they cleaned up as they went so there weren't a bunch of nails or screws or parts laying around. The job site always looked neat and clean and was left in very good shape. They didn't have a blaring radio or a bunch of chaos going around as some roofers have done. Sure, there was pounding of nails and the noise associated with the work, but nothing that was additional or unnecessary.

When we moved to Encinitas and contacted BMC Solar to add solar to this Encinitas house, we were again fortunate enough to have Chris do the roofing part of that work. In our most recent interaction with Weathermasters,Chris came to do the roofing part of the solar PV installation we were having done by BMC Solar. But before either company could do their work, I was having solar heat put on my pool. The solar pool company, Son Energy, made some horrible mistakes, including drilling into my roof where they *thought* they were putting the pool solar. When I found out they were in the wrong place, they had to move to the other side of the roof. They supposedly patched the 24 holes they put in the wrong place. Chris came out to look at the roof before he got started on my solar PV and when we saw what the solar pool people had done, he pointed out the problems they had created. He found not only holes where they didn't belong, he found that they used inferior shingles to repair their mistakes, had been sloppy with the caulking or tar or whatever it was, and left some things un-flashed, which put them out of building code, etc. Chris took over 20 pictures of problems created by the Son Energy people. He explained to me why each was a problem and what it would take to properly fix them. He even suggested that Son Energy could call him with any questions or if they needed any explanations. He said he could do the work for them if they didn't feel able to do it, and could just bill them directly. The Son Energy people came out and made the fixes Chris pointed out. I was happy to have a punch list to make sure they didn't miss anything. Chris came out again to make sure the work was done right, and although it clearly was not done to the excellent quality Chris does, it was sufficient. Then Chris was able to do the work he came out to do for solar PV for BMC Solar. He did a stellar job, worked quickly and efficiently. He was very professional and prompt and very clear on what he was doing. Chris is on my short list of EXCELLENT tradesmen I recommend to my good friends. I am happy to point anyone to him because he does great work, goes above and beyond the basic work required, and is extremely pleasant to deal with. Use Weathermaster, you won't be sorry!!!

When Chris first came out, he clearly explained our various options without any pressure. He was very responsive at all steps in the process. Chris and his crew completed the work within a week: a reinforced understructure, a beautiful new roof, and cleanup all at a very reasonable price.
