JIM WATERS CUSTOM FENCE

Jim and his son Ryan installed a gate across our driveway. The structure consisted of two five foot high swinging gates supported by posts on each side plus a small filler section between one of the posts and the house. Jim used 3 x3 rectangular posts instead of the usual 2 " round chain link variety, The posts were powder coated black and the chain link is black. The resulting appearance is similar to a high end wrought iron fence and it does not look at all like the typical industrial chain link fence. They did a really excellent job and I highly recommend this company.

Great. Jim the owner of the fence company actually did the work. He does not sub out the work. The quality and professionalism was better then I could have imagined. My fence is a beautiful cedar type. Jim has done fence work for me in the past and the work was excellent. I would highly recommend Jim Waters Custom Fence!

He did an awesome job. He was available when I needed him. The job took longer than he thought it would take and came back the next day to get it finished, despite his 70 mile commute.

Jim Waters was installing a fence for my neighbor and my fence needed to be replaced and stained. I hired Jim to do the install. There were signs on the fence after it was put up. I took the signs down so the entire fence would be stained. After I did so, Jim yelled at me to "Get my a** to the street with his signs!" I also have been hit my the county and Zoning Ordinance with multiple fines and violations because there were no permits filled to put up the 6ft cedar fence I had installed. Jim assured me and my neighbor that we did not need any. Since 2007 I have been hit with 3 fines, also been through 1 civil engineer that did not complete the work. I have also had to hire a permit specialist to assist me with my case. I have spent over 5,000 out of my pocket since I paid Jim for my fence to be installed. I have also had to appear in front County Planting Board as well as make multiple court appearance.

He told me that he could not come out for an estimate. I gave him all the measurements, he told me he would come out if he had to. He complained about that. He told me he would send me an estimate, I asked him how he would send me the quote. He told me I was working him too hard. He ultimately told me that he did not want the job.

Jim was recommended to us by a neighbor (who is very particular about the service companies he utilizes). Jim's work is impeccable. The two gates he built into our existing chain link fence blend so perfectly that they look like they were originally installed with the fence. He was very skillful in erecting the Privacy Link fence, and used heavy-duty posts to insure it would withstand the high winds we experience in our East County back country area (and it has).
