Description of Work: My wife and I were very impressed with this company. We have two fireplaces which we used a great deal during the winters. However, we have not been able to use for 4 years because a different company told us we need to reline and repair the fireplace at a minimum cost of $5,000. When we were able to pay, we contacted Chimney Sweeps through Angie's List to find out what it would cost us to repair the chimney. Chimney Sweeps inspected our chimney and said it was in good shape except for some cracks which they could repair. They also strongly suggested spark arresters for our two chimneys. They did the repair and installed the spark arresters for under $2000. We cannot wait to use our fireplaces this winter.

Description of Work: Standard chimney inspection lead to discovery of issue/corrosion/disintegration of support at the top that was a possible fire hazard just based on age and weather. Ordered the parts and completed the repair. Was expensive but they did show us what had happened and why. Peace of mind is worth it!

Description of Work: Inspected and cleaned my chimney and flue. Also inspected the remainder of the vents on my roof, two of which were damaged. Replaced and resealed. Also purchased and installed a heat reflector to protect my fireplace from heat damage, extending its life.

Description of Work: My 1920s gas fireplace had not been cleaned or safety-checked in 20 years, so I hadn't been using it due to concerns about safety. Chimney Sweeps provided excellent, comprehensive service. They cleaned everything out from the fireplace and chimney, installed a new hearth kit with a 10 year warranty, and also a chimney cap ($400) with a lifetime warranty. They did an extensive safety check on the interior of the chimney, both inside and up on the roof. The technician certified that now the entire system is clean and safe. I'm very happy with the results, and I would definitely recommend chimney Sweeps, for jobs large and small.

Description of Work: Chimney Sweeps, Inc. inspected and cleaned our fireplace and chimney. Michael and Jeff were very professional and thorough. I would call them again in the future.

Description of Work: Swept the chimney efficiently. Suggested a cap for the chimney which we had installed. Seemed expensive but it was a necessary safety item. Advised we needed $700-800 worth of repairs to the seal around the roof and chimney. I had another contractor look at what was needed and they suggested only some caulk and sealant was necessary--less than $100. Don't feel too good about Chimney Sweeps for that reason.

Description of Work: The lady making the appointment on the phone was very friendly and the two guys who came to do the job were adorable and friendly. They laid out drop cloths, vacuumed the chimney and gave me an assessment of it. My only complaint is their pricing for the recommended repairs was very high. I ended up buying my cap from a fireplace store and putting it on ourselves for less than half their price. I haven't gotten a quote to compare the rest of their estimate yet.

Description of Work: I had my chimney inspected, with the option for cleaning if needed for a total of $89.00 (running special). The two men that showed up at the stroke of the appointment time were very pleasant and professional. They first inspected inside then went up a ladder to the roof to view the cap and chase cover. They did find the chase cover was slightly bowed,which could allow water to pool, but said there wasn't any visual damage. They gave me a written quote for replacing the part but it wasn't a hard sell. My chimney appeared very clean so they said the cleaning wasn't required. Very efficient and clean, and it took all of 20 minutes max. Very nice experience and I would recommend them.
