Description of Work: Asked for a review of chimney, Needed repairs for cracks, a spark arrester and cleaning. Said it did not need cleaning and would repair cracks for $2900 and put on spark arrester for $352. Had another company come out to inspect the cracks who indicated the chimney definitely needed cleaning, damper was clearly warped and repair would be more expensive due to brick damage. Used them due to the being a certified mason and dwelt only with fixing fireplaces. Feel Chimney Sweeps Inc also overcharged on the spark arrester and was not as thorough with the inspection.

Description of Work: They thoroughly looked over the chimney and the fireplace and told me I needed a large metal sheet replaced, which they are ordering for me, and I should get in about three weeks. They were very professional and seemed to know exactly what they were doing.

Description of Work: They got up on the roof, said my fireplace was not dirty, did not need cleaning, but it was not installed properly and was "unsafe" to use. That was it. They offered to repair it for over $2000. but they did NOT offer to refund any part of what I paid to Angie's List. I was unsure what to do because they did come and inspect, but it would have been very nice if I could have had a little of my money back. They seemed nice, but I think since they did not have to work, I should have had a partial refund. Mary

Description of Work: They were polite and friendly, but the service was not what I expected. I wanted the gas logs checked out before I used them. I hadn't used them for several years. Basically they checked the chimney and said that it was clean. They said that I needed to call a plumber because the logs would not light after the pilot was turned on. After they left, with a friends help, we realized that we just need to turn the switch on.

Description of Work: Besides the cleaning service and inspection. They found that my spark arrester was not properly sealed and there had been some water leaking in and some damage to the cement and grout inside the flue. He fixed it with a flexible cement.
