Description of Work: I didn't use the service right away because it wasn't convenient,and then I forgot about the service. However, after the holidays, I did call - the first time I didn't receive a call back, and the 2nd time I called and left a message, I didn't receive the call back until AFTER the deadline had passed. I thought there was no recourse, so therefor I didn't pursue calling the third time.

Description of Work: Full inspection, installed a needed damper clamp, and installed a chimney cap. Identified a crack in the chimney crown that we would not have noticed otherwise. HOA is responsible for that repair.

Description of Work: The good news for me was the chimney was clean. However, Steve discovered (by climbing up on the roof and looking) that the top cover of the pre-fab metal fireplace was severely rusted. I will be contacting Chimney Sweeps in July to have them replace the rusted parts. Steve is a very nice person and is very professional.

Description of Work: it was a smooth operation---the tech's went up on the roof and inspected the cap/crown and mortar between the outer brick for cracks or damage that would let water inside the chimney. Also,the flashing and sealant where the chimney meets the roof line.They cleaned the firebrick and firebox and flue and were very neat.give them a try.

Description of Work: Viewed chimney and told me it did not need cleaning. However it did need new cap on top as well as a spray sealant to prevent further deteriation of bricks/mortar due to age. He sprayed the sealant on the outside of the chimney bricks with 3 coats. He did give me a 10% discount off of the price because of Angie's list.

Communication, from both the office staff and cleaning crew, was excellent. "Findings" were discussed at the time of inspection (yesterday) and I should receive a written report soon. Description of Work: The Chimney sweep ( Michael) arrived on time . He was professional, friendly with a great sense of humor ( wearing a big tall top hat) |He cleaned and inspected our chimney. He recommended some repair work and took photos to show and explain what needed to be done . |We agreed to the work and scheduled him to come back . |The cost was fair . |I will most likely call them every year for an inspection since we use our fireplaces often !
