They missed significant rot on the side and when we asked them about it, they said they wouldn't have looked for it unless we asked. They were not thorough enough in their inspection and their sweeping job. They're also pricey.

Excellent contact from all Chimney Sweep team members. Work well done with professionalism, and all protective equipment for both our house and more important for the workers. The cost of service i have noted is approximate as i do not remember. Nevertheless what was charged was more than correct taking into account the quality of the work done and the time spent on site. I will gladly call them back when i am ready to do further work on the chimney, and will more than likely recommend this company.

Steve and his assistant showed up early and were both very professional. Steve did an inspection of the chimney and told me of several problems, which did not surprise me as the house is 40 years old. They taped off the opening and when they were done there was no ash in sight. I plan on having them back to do all of the suggested repairs as money permits.

After a thorough inspection they gave me the diagnosis and the cost of the repairs. I was pleased that they were able to complete the job that day. They explained everything in great detail and told me the materials used had a warranty. This was also provided in writing. They were courteous and professional. I'm very pleased with the results and will definitely use them on a routine basis. .

We just bought a 40 year old house with a chimney that was in a pretty bad shape with cracks that needed repair, no cap and also some roof repairs around the chimney that needed to be done. They did the whole thing immediately after giving me a quote and they were done within a few hours. Done a great job and were very clean. I highly recommend them and I am glad to have found them for our annual chimney service.

I have my chimney and fireplace inspected about every 3 years. I used this sweep because he was listed in Angie's List for a 10% discount to members. I had not used him in the past. He stated that my chimney did not need to be cleaned but much to my surprise the sweep told me (and I have it in writing) that my termination cap pipe is broken and needs to be replaced and that the chase cover is not to code and needs to be replaced. Total cost of approximately $1600-1800. He marked his report "unsafe to use til items corrected." I decided to obtain a second opinion. I searched and found one of the few certified sweeps in SD County. I did not tell them I had already had an inspection. They concluded that my chimney did not need to be cleaned and did not mention any repairs needed. Both sweeps inspected the chimney inside and out and got up on a ladder to look at the top. I feel I was totally ripped off by Chimney Sweeps, Inc. and want my money back.

Moved into my mothers' 55 year old house. I thought the chimney needed cleaning. I was told it did not----thanks for not charging me for something I did not need. But the chimney did need some repair and sealing. Everything was done in an hour and a half and is good for at least another 10 years. No mess or fuss and very fair price.

Very nice and honest. I called for a cleaning but it did not need it. He only charged me $49 as part of a deal. Nice gentleman and his helper came.

They let us know what they were doing. Talked to us about the maintenance of our chimney, let us know about a crack in the chimney. They gave us a quote for the needed repairs. We took advantage of a special they were offering and it was a very good deal!

Steve & Nick were extremely easy to get along with; were prompt and provided me with useful information I could pass onto future owners. If I ever live in SD again and the house has a fireplace, they will certainly be one of my first calls to ensure the chimney is in tip top shape!

We have a 60-year-old house. Last year we had Chimney Sweeps Inc check and repair the fireplace and the chimney. It needed re-caulking and work on the firebox, and on the screening at the top of the chimney. Our experience with them has been excellent. We've been with them for a number of years. They are responsive and their work is high quality. The prices are competitive. The chimney sweep himself turns up looking like a Mary Poppins chimney sweep with the top hat! The guy really has a sense of humor. We've had the same guy for about three years now, but all of them are really nice people.

The actual cleaning was done quickly and expertly. I enjoyed how they show up even wearing the top hat like the old sweeps evidently wore, adds some fun and flavor to the visit. I have no complaints whatsoever about the cleaning, it appears to have been done well and they made no mess, cleaning up everything just fine. My one disappointment was in the evaluation of the condition of my chimney cap and spark arrester, and the price quoted to repair them. I was a bit taken aback by their quote, and slightly afraid to use my fireplace as a result of their saying it could be dangerous until repaired. That sadly turned out to be a sales tactic. Subsequently I felt worried enough to get a second estimate done which I ended up following through on. The price was less than half what the original one was, and I was also told there was not really anything to worry about using the fireplace as the condition of the equipment was nowhere near as bad as I had been led to believe. They did agree the work should be done eventually but didn't see it as a critical situation or any need to use the fireplace sparingly with small fires as the Chimney Sweeps had indicated. I don't believe I got the 10% discount on the cleaning either but that may be my own doing. I was told I'd get that on the repairs which at the time I had thought was a better idea. But since I didn't use them for that, I never got any discount. I think if they're offering 10% to Angie's List customers it should be on everything. I feel comfortable calling them again for the cleaning but will likely investigate others as well. I will avoid having them do any repairs.

Everyone was very helpful and honest. I got a phone call when the service men were 10 minutes out, and they were clean and very nice during the service.

They came out in a timely manner. They were prompt and courteous. They went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with their service.

arrived promptly. inspected chimney. told me did not need sweeping. it was a gas log fp. i asked them to convert to wood burning. they removed internal flu to move more smoke. added top mounting dampener. happy with outcome.

I strongly recommend a second estimate before serious repairs are contracted for.

First, let me say that both on the phone and in person these folks were extremely professional. They checked my chimney from both bottom and top to confirm that I had no obstructions and no need of cleaning. They did note that the chase cover did not meet current code, but did not put on a hard sell since it's the same for the other 200+ units in my development. The fact that I caught a late summer special just made the deal even sweeter. However, for you sticklers out there, I will note that they are only fireplace certified (NFI) and not chimney certified (CSIA) for all their claims that their main guy is a "master sweep" from England.

Chimney Sweeps called to verify arrival within 1/2 hour. Coupon Special for chimney inspection and cleaning estimate. Inspection fee applied to cleaning which was under $100. Inspector explained entire process and did work professionally. Would use them again.

They found that all was well and that no further work was required. They were honest and did not attempt to sell me any services I did not need. They are well deserving of people's business!

They did a great job. When I called them they provided information on the telephone. The guy seemed to be very genuine. They provided me military discount. He was very personable and professional. They were efficient. They were here when they said they were going to be here, and they did a very good job. The price they charged me was very good.

We have been using them quite a while. I was satisfied with their services. We use them for a number of years. They are always very neat in what they do and what they they come out dressed appropriately in a black guard. They inspect the fire place regularly and make recommendations on any things that need to be taken care and they clean it too. We've been very happy about them. I can't remember the price. When it comes to price I really don't have any thing to compare. The price seems reasonable for the work they do so we didn't go for a shopping process was not much money. I really cannot comment on the price where anyone can beat their price or not. When the employees come for chimney sweep its one of the things wasn't to be sure, they don't leave stuff in your living room. They very much take care of it. I rate them very high on quality. They contact us according to schedule on an annual inspection so I would say we have appointments like an employee. They are aware and they contact you so you don't have to call them. They are always there within an hour or two one way or the other when they say they will be there. Their professionalism is excellent. I shall use them in future.
