They were very punctual. They were very informative and helpful. They also came dressed in chimney sweep outfits, which was a fun surprise. They did a thorough job. They seemed to have a lot of pride in their job. They were very careful on the job. They earned my trust. I was a little surprised at the price, but they did a good job. It could be that I was unfamiliar with the prices.

I knew that my chimney was probably in need of some repairs. So I called Chimney Sweeps Inc to schedule an appointment. On the day of my appointment the chimney sweeps arrived on time. They inspected the fireplace and chimney. After the inspection they gave me advice on what needed to be repaired. I agreed to the repairs. They cleaned my fireplace and chimney and finished the repairs at the same time. I thought they were very professional, very knowledgeable, not pushy at all and I felt comfortable having them in my house and doing the work. Now I feel confident that my chimney is repaired and in good shape. I will definitely call Chimney Sweeps Inc again next year for an inspection and cleaning.

I had purchased a big deal for a chimney inspection and cleaning. The two young men who came were very friendly and knowledgeable. After the inspection, one did the cleaning while the other discussed results of the inspection. In all, I needed a new cap, my crown had a couple of small cracks, and some of the mortar on the chimney was degraded. I was given an estimate for the cap, crown repair, and chimney repair and waterproofing. While I don't doubt their knowledge or ability, I question the costs associated. The cap was priced at just over $400, which after doing some research, is about double the cost to purchase one at many other places. Honestly, for the pain of removing the old and re-installing the new, I'm fine with that cost. A lot of it comes from the convenience. Where I have a hard time with price is the crown repair and chimney repair. I was quoted over $600 for the crown repair and $1400 for chimney repair and waterproofing. The crown repair material can be purchased for about $60 (an elastomeric compound that is brushed on over the crown) and the waterproofing solution can be purchased for $30 a gallon. Add in some grout repairs and my total cost without labor is right about $100. That is a heck of a lot better than $2000. I don't want this to come off as a negative review, as I do believe they know their trade, are friendly, are prompt, and definitely clean and inspect well. However, I believe they are extremely overpriced on repairs. I will be calling them again for future cleaning and inspections.

It was wonderful. He was very nice. It was raining and I wasnt expecting him to still do the work however he did and he still remined very professional. I was very pleased. I even ordered some fireplace parts from him also.

Efficient, friendly. Told me I needed and he could install a $379 heat deflector which I passed on. Cleaned up perfectly and gave written checklist/report

Great experienced 2 man crew. Did an excellent job educating & informing us about the construction flaws in the chimney.

Two men arrived, inspected and swept the chimney. Did a very good, professional job. Highly recommended.

It was so nice to work with Chimney Sweeps. They arrived on time and then took the time to explain what they found. The chimney sweep was very knowledgeable and saved me from what would have been a dangerous situation. They took care of the work for a good price.

I have used Chimney Sweeps for years now. They always do a thorough inspection, making suggestions, if needed, to replace or repair something before it becomes a problem. This year everything looked good, so they just cleaned the fireplace. They are always on time, friendly, and professional. They call every year to schedule an appointment for annual inspection and cleaning, if needed. I use my fireplace a lot in the winter, and it gives me peace of mind to know that they have inspected everything, and all is okay, or fixed. Most of the time they just clean it, so they aren't "making up" a problem.

My fireman friend told me about some fire code and how chimneys should get checked out periodically--and it (finally) stopped being so hot--so I called a few places in the area. I decided on Chimney Sweeps because they were licensed for everything (certified sweeps, contractor's license, bonded, A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, etc., etc.) and also the FRIENDLIEST on the phone and in person. That mattered a lot to me because I like doing business with people I like. It's way nicer to work with someone you enjoy talking to, yaknow? The Master Sweep and his Assistant came out in their uniforms, which included top hats. :) I got a cleaning and a cap. Cleaning is $99 and the inspection fee was waived. The cap basically prevents things from going out of the chimney and landing on the roof (way safer). I'll have these guys out again for sure.

It went great! They came in and told me exactly what they were going to do. The sweep told me that he was going to check the bottom first then check the top of the chimney. They found some issues, and my chimney is about 30 years old which I feel is old, and they also told me how they could handle it. They gave me a quote which I spoke to my husband about while they cleaned the chimney. He agreed that it was needed and affordable. We then had our crown repaired and also the roof vents redone. The chimney sweep was really professional and they did everything in a timely manner.

The chimney sweep was on time and quite impressive in his uniform and top hat. Our chimney was not terribly dirty but we opted to have it cleaned any way. The cap on top looks sturdy and is to keep out water from coming down the chimney and the reflector is so that the fireplace will put out more heat. Haven't had cold enough weather to try it out yet but am very happy with it and looking forward to some cozy fires.

it was like taking your car for an oil change and they said you needed a "new motor" ... .needless to say i was VERY DISAPPOINTED ... AND FELT LIKE I WAS VICTIMIZED. and you kept asking for a review and i didn't want to say, what just said ... so i'am sending my review like you kept asking for and cancelled my ANGIE'S LIST ACCOUNT. i know this is not what you wanted to hear, but this is what happened to me.

They cleaned my chimney 4 years ago and the service was good. The problem that I have is the fact that this company has continued to contact me, and now harass me about cleaning my chimney after I have repeatedly requested not to be contacted. The year after my service I asked to not be contacted again. Still every year they call, not just once but over and over. Every year I ask to be taken off the list, still I get called. So once a again this year the hounding phone calls have come in. I am writing this review after just hanging up with a very pushy sales/appointment person who in my opinion was beyond unprofessional. In summary today's experience, I answered the phone call after the caller id announced it was a private caller (usually the company name comes across). When the rep asked to schedule an appointment, I once again decline the service. I politely told him that I have the correct equipment now and clean the chimney myself and don't need their services. The caller informs me that its not about the cleaning but the "required inspection". I inform the caller that I've had a wood burning stove for 20+ years and have never heard of this. I acknowledge that there might be some "code or requirement" that is cited but honestly, since my insurance company doesn't require it nor do any of my firefighter friends bug me about this, it is not something that I'm going to pay for. At this time the sales guy berates me for not getting an "Inspection". I politely tell him no and try to get off the phone with him by telling him i can not afford it. At this point the caller asks me if I know how to inspect a chimney and I am capable of making a visual inspection. He proceeds to tell me I should work for him because at least I would make enough to pay him to "inspect" my chimney. I'm starting to get a little annoyed at this point and express my opinions on the unprofessional way the caller was treating me, a couple of other thing were said and the caller proceeded to hang up. I am thoroughly disgusted in the way this company has proceeded to contact me, even after being requested to stop however, today's experience was completely unacceptable. I would never do business with this company again!

They were professionals all the way with excellent introductions, workmanship, and cleanup!

Communication and service were honest, prompt and professional. My chimney did not need to be cleaned and he was honest about that. The chimney and cap were cracked and had the potential to cause water damage to the underlying structure and roof. He repaired and waterproofed the cracked chimney immediately following the inspection, so a second service appointment wasn't required, which I appreciated. Repair costs were a bit high, but I feel that he did quality work which prevented much higher expense down the road.

Very well, I was able to estimate the state of my fireplace & chimney, which are important elements of my home. Now that everything has been checked by professionals, I know I won't be surprised in future by untimely repair or even a fire, etc.

I have had my chimney cleaned and inspected every two years by Chim chimney sweep for over 20 years and within 10 minutes of being on roof the owner of chimney sweeps Inc. tells me I need $1500 in maintenance and repairs that are long overdue. While he was obviously much more knowledgeable than previous sweep he wanted to start repairs today and I said I don't have the money. His reply just put it on a visa card and he'll do half of the $1500 repair today. That's a little too pushy and very pricey for the labor and material involved in repairs that I don't disagree are needed. Owner and helper did great job cleaning chimney. Just too bad owner doesn't supply employee with respirator. Owner installed brand-new chimney cap spark arrester provided by me but on condition report paperwork supplied at the end of job he put its status as questionable /unsatisfactory, I presume since I did not buy one off his truck for $300 more than I paid. Bottom line: Very smart, very pushy & pricey repairs

We had not had our chimney looked at in 3 years so I was expecting the worse. I had spoken to them in advance and they knew we hadn't had the chimney cleaned in that long, however, upon inspecting it, he said we could go another year without having it cleaned. I thought that was pretty honest given the circumstances. They conducting the inspection and gave me some advice on our type of chimney. They could have left then, however, the owner offered to clean out the bottom of our chimney for no extra charge. I thought they were great! (And as an aside, they knock on your door with a top hat on -- straight out of Mary Poppins which was very cute and very memorable.) I'd recommend them to anyone.

They were always in contact with me, courteous, and always showed up on time or early.

It was wonderful. Nice guy, did his job and was very nice.
