+ -1 moreI schedule an appointment one day after my call to Dean. He show up just in time, explain the options and the repair he propose and went right to work. the work was done in time, everything is working perfect for 1/4 of what I thought I will spend on the repair and I have a new contractor I will recommand to any of my friends and will use in the future. Dean is honest, hard working and you get the best deal for your money.
Description of Work: Garage door bracket (connecting the door to the handle) snapped out and ripped out part of top section. I contacted two other places before contacting Dean and both places said I will need to either replace top section of the door (their estimates were $450 and $475 for new section only, or replace the complete door for $650 to $1000 I found Dean name (American Overhead Doors) on the manufacturer (wayne dalton) website and call him to find if the repair might be under the warranty. He was very helpful over the phone, explain why warranty won't cover it, but also told me he has a better way to repair the bracket for a fraction of new section cost ($110 total, includes parts instellation and some extra door maintenance. He also gave me an estimate on new section for $250 total (almost half the price of the other estimates).

+ -1 moreHe was able to come out right away. He showed my that the installer had put in "cheap" 5 year springs and he replaced them with 15 year springs. I wish the installer had given me the option to put 15 year springs in. Great guy, repaired the spings quickly.
