Perfect. Clean-out pipe was broken and had to be replaced. They made as neat a job as possible considering they had to dig up the front yard to find the pipe. No problems with the work and would use again.

I called Rob on Wednesday because my four-year old Price-pfister kitchen faucet handle was leaking all over my granite countertop. Rob arrived a few minutes early for our 8:30 AM appointment on Thursday. He put booties on over his shoes before he walked through the house and got to work after we discussed how I wanted the new faucet installed. I had bought the faucet and other parts needed for the most part, so the price I paid was for two hours of labor. Rob was very professional and installed the faucet correctly. He checked it for leaks after he finished with the installation, cleaned things up, and left. He worked neatly and protected the kitchen floor by putting down a cloth before he put down his tools. I have had Rob do work for me before, and will use him again if I need something else.

The plumbers were courteous and explained everything they were doing. They were on time, made the repair and did a great job cleaning up after the repair. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends as a company you can trust.

Our water heater needed a new pressure relief valve since it started a steady drip and I was not in a mood to replace it myself. Since I am a member of Angie's List , I searched first on Angie's list but was not too happy what I found . I ALMOST MISSED OUT ON FINDING THE PERFECT PLUMBER. (see explanation at the end of this post why Angie's List was not at all helpful...) Thankfully I used also Yelp and after checking reviews for a LOCAL Plumbers, I decided to call South County Plumbing. The receptionist answered the call immediately that alone was a miracle. I explained that it wasn't a full blown emergency but explained exactly what was needed. Susan called back and said, they could schedule a visit by a technician to take a look at it. - WOW - It must have been our lucky day to hit the Jackpot with Ismael. We discussed the procedure and he gave me the price. I thought it was very fair, knowing what was involved. Ismael did exactly what I asked for and did not to try to BS me along the way. The added "bonus", not only was Ismael very efficient, precise and knew exactly what he was doing, (yet another miracle) but his cheerful attitude was just priceless. Needless to say, I recommend South County Plumbing highly and will call upon them for further Plumbing needs. Thanks Rob for sending out Ismael - I was very pleased - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOW TO MY "BEEF " ABOUT ANGIE'S LIST - SEARCH ENGINE, AND WHY I ALMOST MISSED OUT ON FINDING THE PERFECT PLUMBER. Angie's list was my first choice to search, as mentioned because I am a member. But I could not specify the plumbing needs and a list of local Plumbers, even though I specified my Location . The search-Engine is outright pathetic unless one already knows the Name of the Business !!!! Why would one search for a Plumber or any other specialty for that matter, if one already knows one or was referred to by a friend????? The list of Plumbing outfits Angie's list presented from all over creation was simply annoying, let alone reading through the reviews and none going further than 3 years. ONLY AFTER I HIRED SOUTH COUNTY PLUMBING was I able to find them on Page 3 ............ the Address was different but at least the Phone Number was the same. -

Called to get my refrigerator water value replaced. I spoke to Rob and he knew exactly what I was talking about and what I needed. He was able to come out the same day. He was very nice and professional and completed the job efficiently. I would use them against.

Called Rob when I realized my toilet was clogged. I was in a bit of a pickle since that was the only toilet I could use due to recent hip replacement surgery. Rob said he'd be over in 30 minutes to unclog it. He arrived promptly and put on booties to save my carpet. He went right to work unclogging the toilet and gave me several suggestions about what to do to keep it from clogging again. He also gave me suggestions on how to remove the mineral deposits at the bottom of the toilet which might be slowing down the flush. Rob was courteous and very professional. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again and highly recommend him!

I sold my home and the new buyers wanted the ice maker to the built in refrigerator connected.....not an easy job. Very difficult to pull the refrigerator without damaging flooring, work in a very tight space behind it and then replace and level it. Also the inspector found a slow leak on top of the water heater that had corroded the water line connection. The entire heater had to be removed from a small closet in order to get enough torsion on the connection to break the corrosion loose without damaging the heater. Rob then cleaned the entire heater, replaced all of the copper lines, placed it back into the closet and updated the bracing to current code which included blocking on all sides. Both jobs were far more involved than I expected and I doubt the $500 covered his time, much less all of the expensive copper piping and parts. He was cheerful, calm and professional throughout.

We were on a time schedule, and he was super flexible. He even came out to install it all on Saturday! Rob and his co-worker (he introduced himself but I forget his name now) were both SUPER professional, worked quickly and the cost was right on with the estimate. No surprises! Definitely would call South County Plumbing again!

Rob and his employees replaced a water heater that had been installed by another plumber. It was only 2 years old and had a major part replacement each year of it's short two year life! It was making this unusual boiling sound and then a big BANG noise. I'd called three plumbers who had little interest in helping me with the warranty issue I described. All they could say was, and quot; that'll be $1200 to replaceand quot;. Needless to say by the time I made that fourth call to Rob at South County Plumbing I exasperated and okay...just plain cranky. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Rob is a problem solver not a hmmm too bad you've got a problem kind of person. He was patient and helped me work though the problem with the manufacturer to get a warranty claim going, made a couple visits to patch the unit together until I could do the replacement. He even went into great detail so I'd understand what was going on with the old unit. It's not easy to impress me, I've run large businesses and expect a certain level of customer service and professionalism. Yet, Rob at South County Plumbing did impress me. He and his crew are thorough, professional and on time. They did a great job from start to finish.

He left the place cleaner than when he got there. He showed me the parts, and showed me the drips. He was very professional, and did a great job. The cost it was very reasonable, and he showed up on time.

I was referred to this company by another plumber, to service my tankless waterheater. Additionally, I needed a Pressure Regulator installed (my lawn sprinkers water pressure was too high), and a galvanized shower fitting replaced with a cooper one in the guest bath upstairs because rust was coming out of the water spigot. The company showed up with two plumbers and told me that the tankless waterheater needed additional plumbing fittings installed before they could service it, and would get back to me with the cost. Not knowing what's involved labor and materials wise, I agreed. The work was done in less than two hours, and when I inquired about his rate, Rob told me his rate was $110/hr times two plumbers, plus the cost of materials (which he didn't reveal). He then said I was getting a good deal because the labor alone was higher than the $375 total. But... I didn't ask for (2) plumbers, and the other plumber replaced the upstairs shower fitting in a very short period of time, and spent the rest of the time watching Rob. I looked up the cost of pressure regulators online and saw they weren't very expensive... but... I just would have felt better had Rob detailed the job costs on the invoice and not told me I was getting a good deal because of the hourly rate of (2) plumbers... I think I paid $50 more than I should have based upon what I perceived to be the time and material costs... and felt Rob gouged me. The following week Rob called back and detailed the costs of servicing my Tankless water heater, and I practically fell over when he told me it would cost over $500 to service it. I said no thank you and later called the Tankless Waterheater manufacturer for the name and number of an Authorized Service Provider. They gave me the names of two local companies, and I call the closest one whose name is So.Cal Tankless. They quoted me $175 for the service and I booked the appointment. They showed up on time, and completed the job (in about an hours time), and the total cost was $195 because one of my flex lines needed replacing. I didn't need the expensive additional parts South County Plumbing said was required to service the unit, and the completed work cost $195 instead of the $500+ dollars South County Plumbing quoted. I am posting this account on Angie's List because I don't want others to be taken advantage of (gouged) by this company.

He came on time, professional, he performed all the work agreed on and for the amount agreed on. No surprises.

Overall, everything went well. The rapidity with which Rob responded was quite a relief. My insurance adjustor came out a few days later and was very impressed with the job that was done and stated that by fixing it quickly, significant damage was adverted. He also remarked that the price paid for the repair, was very reasonable.
