Feeling entirely frustrated after making the rounds at local home improvement stores and learning that they either do not re-key locks or do not have staff able to re-key locks, I randomly called local locksmiths in the area to find someone available to re-key two locks for our new home that same day. Kwikeys was willing and able. It’s a tiny shack in the middle of a shopping center parking lot, though they have a mobile service as well. I told the locksmith we'd be around at noon, but I don't think he believed me. He told me to call first, which we did. We called before we left home, arrived promptly, and waited a few minutes at the shack for the locksmith to show up. Considering the experience at the big name stores, waiting a few minutes was not a problem. The locksmith took about 10-15 minutes to do both, reminded us that he can come to our house in the future to re-key on site, and even gave my husband some helpful tips to re-install the locks once we got home. It was quick and easy. I’d definitely use them again, though next time I’d probably use the mobile service.
