Wonderful! They were very punctual and finished quickly. My husband found a few hiccups with a couple loose shutters, screws, and french door wasn't fitting right (scrapping the bottom frame), but they were quick to respond and fixed the issues right away.

They were amazing! I was so impressed with everything they did... they new exactly what we needed. It was also very nice to have something built locally.

Very well made shutters that are made in their factory in Lake Forrest. Pricing was reasonable and installation was top notch. Would highly recommend these guys for custom made shutters.

I liked the company, they are extremely professional and extremely good. I like the quality, it is very good. Excellent quality. I went to Costco and some other companies, nobody can beat the price of this guy. And they have the best quality and the best price. You can't find anyone better. I was very happy.

Overall it was a good experience with the service provided by Golden West Shutters. The installation was quick. The price was competitive. The only thing I did not like was the water proof shutters which are used in the bathrooms. Those did not last as long as the time they would. It was specifically only for the bathroom waterproof shutters. He said that they were waterproof and mine have already rusted on the level joints. There was just one installer and he was quick. It didn't take him long. It was only one window that I did not like.

I had approx. 5 different shutter companies give me bids. Golden West I felt was honest & reliable among superior quality. The estimate appointment was right on time. The shutters were ready before the actual install date. The installer was sooooo professional he was an expert. The shutters are gorgeous high quality. Many many complements on them. The other great thing about this company is you can go to their office/plant see the different types of shutters and there are many, you can also go into the plant/work area, everything is made from scratch nothing coming from China. They are wonderful. .

My wife and I first went to the business on Pascal Way to see what they had to offer and were shown all the various designs available along with a tour of the manufacturing facility. We were impressed and scheduled a date and time for an estimate. The owner, Dave Harris, came to our house on time and was friendly, knowledgable, and professional in all aspects of the visit. He presented us with the estimate of $2800 and said he could have delivery in about 3 weeks but we wanted a second estimate from another shutter company so we held off until we could get that estimate. The other shutter company, which has a very good reputation also, was $200 higher than Golden West so we signed the agreement with Golden West. Since these were custom shutters made from basswood we were able to pick our color and after about a week and a half we were mailed a small basswood sample with the custom color on it for our approval. After that the workers came out and installed our shutters and they fit beautifully. If I had it to do over again I would still use Golden West. They did a fabulous job.

Very professional. Got a tour of their factory and showroom before ordering. Very in depth understanding of their products and why they are superior. Very fast results and extremely professional. Will definitely recommend them or use them again if needed.

Owner came, measured, and gave me quote with Angie's list discount. Installed about 5 weeks later by a very nice, competent installer. They look beautiful!

We called Golden West Shutters and requested a quote, we were offered the chance to go down to the showroom and also see the workshop. We went down to the showroom to look at the styles and saw the workshop, which was really nice to see everything was made here in the USA and locally. We got the quote for the work and decided this was the right firm to choose as they showed quality work (seeing how the shutters were made) and understood our needs. We have large windows in our house and chose the 3.5 inch shutter size option (no extra cost) and the color was Swiss Coffee White which matched out ceilings and base boards. They came to fit the shutters and did a great job, checking the clearance of the patio doors an adjusting where necessary. We have had the shutters a year now and are still as pleased as when we first got them Would definitely recommend to others, great firm to work with and good local product, can't ask for more than that.

I did not have to pay until I was happy. Would use them again and have recommended them. Ask for Jacob for the install.

I've used Golden West Shutters for many years, doing 2-3 windows every few years as other window coverings need replacing. They have always been extremely professional and the shutters are beautiful making every room look crisp and polished.

I really thought they did a great job. They were very personable. The owner is the one that came out and did the measurements and showed me their different options. When the installer came, they manufactured them here in Orange County and they had made a mistake on one of the shutters and so he installed the others, took that one back to the factory and they corrected it. He had to back out within a couple of days and installed it.

They did an excellent job, and the installer, Jacob, was wonderful! The owner, Dave, is very knowledgeable, appreciative, and responsive. After we had the first shutter installed, we had him measure for three others in the entryway. They were manufactured and installed by them, and the second installer was excellent also. They sent me a thank you card when the job was completed saying they appreciated our business and I really liked that! I would recommend them to anybody!

I am very pleased. I went to the factory showroom. The real benefit was seeing the professional operation. I set up an appointment for Dave Harris, one of the owners, to come to my house. He explained all my options and showed me why, because of the window sills, a certain type frame would work best in one room and a different kind in another room. He immediately gave me his estimate. Although I got a discount, including one for visiting the factory, the price was still higher than the other estimates I received, but in the ballpark. I had more confidence that they would do a good job than I had in the others, so I called to place my order. The next step came when I received a paint sample for approval. Today, the shutters were delivered and installed. The installer was very polite and professional and took great care. He had me check each room to make sure that I was satisfied. I will definitely use this company again in the future if I want more shutters and I will recommend them to others.

One of the owners of the company came to my house, arriving on time. He measured windows and provided an estimate on site. His prices were better than even the Costco referred company AND he was able to customize a problematic window over the kitchen sink where the faucet interfered with the opening/closing of the shutter panel. VERY satisfied with the service and the product. I'd highly recommend this company (and I have) and would certainly use them again.

They came out and submitted quote and advised estimated delivery time. Delivery was as promised, installer was very prompt, everything was as expected.

Golden west's service and craftsmanship were excellent. We met one of the owners at their showroom/manufacturing facility and saw the type of shutters we wanted on display. The owner showed us the manufacturing process at the showroom. The owner came to our house the next day, measured our window openings and gave us a quote which was very competitive. We ordered the bi-pass sliding shutter doors and they were installed several weeks later. The installer was very professional.

We received 3 different bids including one from Costco and Golden West was the best price. The rep was very knowledgeable and helped with suggestions. The staff was very friendly and contacted us to schedule the installation. We did reschedule the installer to come back and make some minor adjustments. We are very happy with the end result and would use them again.

After our initial inquiry call, Dave came out and measured our windows. We visited the showroom in Lake Forest to view full sized shutter samples and the employee that we worked with was very helpful and they provided us with a final quotation, which was very reasonable compared to the other shutter companies that we interviewed. On the day of the installation, the installer arrived right on time and completed the job in the estimated timeframe. The quality is great, employees are helpful, the price is reasonable - we are very satisfied and would recommend Golden West.

We bought a newly built house, and needed window coverings. I have allergies so curtains won't suit; we needed shutters, and I looked around for a local company. I sent a message via Angie's List to GW, and Dave immediately responded, set a date for an estimate, and turned up early. Dave brought various shutter materials for me to choose from, and provided some advice as to which type is most suitable to the size of my windows and how the shutters might fit in with the rest of my furniture. On the date promised, the installer came and put the shutters in, exactly as Dave described and I envisioned. The price was reasonable and the work is very fine. Dave said the shutters are all made in his shop by local employees, and I am very pleased with the workmanship.

Dave Harris came to the house as promised, measured the windows, quoted us a good price and promised to deliver the shutters in 5 to 6 weeks. Neil installed all 9 shutters by himself five weeks later. He made it look easy and effortless. He repaired two slats of our old shutters in the master bathroom at no cost, too.

THERE WERE WILLING TO WORK WITH WHAT WE WANTED FOR THE SHUTTERS ON OUR NEW HOUSE AND EVEN BROUGHT THE PRICE DOWN. THEY WERE FLEXIBLE WITH RESCHEDULING.
