The wiring was fine. My issue was that they cut a least 4 holes in my garage wall trying to find the outside electrical box and then left the holes without patching them. It was a big eye sore in my garage and I had to call in another contractor to patch them. This was not brought up in the quote that they didn't patch any holes in the walls.

I called my home warranty (AHS) to schedule create the service request. They supposedly contacted Dorn, and Dorn was suppose to call me to schedule the service. After 6 days, I have not heard from Dorn. I called them about 5 times, and always got an answering machine. I left messages but still no response...

Mike and his crew did great. They rewired my whole house. Mike always returned my calls via text or phone call very quickly. Made sure i was taken care of through out the rewiring. Very clean and explained everything that was happening. He did not give me a hard time or charge me extra when i wanted to change small things. The price was very fair. Mike has also done work at my office and other home in the past with the same results. Mike was just a good person to deal with.

I would have been better off buying a book called "How to do Electrical work for dummies." My first clue was when they tried to set a landscaping light timer. Neither the company owner or his assistant knew the timer had to be set to the current time to go on and off when I wanted. They told me that a fan with a light needed to be completely replaced, and couldn't be fixed. I bought an entire new unit. Another electrical company reassessed the problem, and accurately said that all I needed was a new remote control-not a COMPLETE new fan with light. I saved $70 by NOT listening to Dorn Electric. The biggest outrage was that the company owner, in my garage, drilled completely through a main cable and destroyed it! He ended up having to repair it, as well as the drywall and the stucco on the outside of my home. He had drilled completely through the cable even though his drill kept automatically shutting off every 30 seconds and he kept restarting it manually. When I asked him why it was shutting off, he said he had no idea. They didn't test whether the outside electrical lights worked before they left. They in fact, did not work. They never did a test run, and it took forever to re-schedule them. The original work was pricey and I had to pay extra for them to come back and make the lights operational. They were also very apparent they were in a big hurry to get to the next job.

I made an after hours called trying to get some last minute electrical work done. I called several electrical contractors and this was the only one that called me back. The owner, Mike Dorn, came out and gave me a free estimate and was able to schedule the work right away. He arrived on time, was very professional and thoroughly explained all of the work he was doing. I was also really impressed with his honestly - I had non-working outlets throughout my home and I thought I may need to replace them. I had several things plugged in to one outlet and it turns out my problem was just a tripped GFI. Mike recommended and helped me relocate some appliances so that I wasn't constantly tripping the circuit and didn't charge me for this service. My husband and I are very happy with the work performed by Dorn Electric and would highly recommend this company.

I have been referred to this company by a co-worker. I was quoted a reasonable price and was pleased with the customer service I received. The technician was clean cut and respectable and showed up on time. I would absolutely use this company again.

Mike was initially scheduled for a Wednesday by the insurance company, but when I asked if he could come sooner, he agreed immediately. In fact, he arrived within an hour. That was great customer service! Once he arrived, and I explained the problem, he was immediately able to diagnose and fix both problems. The hot water heater had been looked at by another electrician that spent almost two hours trying to figure out and fix the issue. Mike had it diagnosed and fixed within 15 minutes. He was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. Two thumbs up!

They came and did the work as contracted. Six years later we are having our kitchen remodeled. When the drywall came off, we discovered that they had not installed the splices for the new outlets in junction boxes, just capped the wires. In the hallway, where they installed two recessed lights, they pushed the cans into the furnace venting,breaking it and collapsing it to 3 inches. They had wrapped the ducting in duct tape and installed the cans. I called the company and left a message. Mike Dorn returned my call. I told him that his company had done work in the past and we were currently remodeling could he come look at it? He came out to the house the same day. After showing him the ducting, he said he has no way of knowing which of his workers did it and they probably didn't even work for him anymore, so he wasn't responsible for it. I said that it was done under his license, so he was responsible. He became very angry and profane when he realized that I wanted to be compensated for the damage to the ducting, and not further employ his company. He said in a most unprofessional manner, between profanities solely aimed at degrading women, that I could send him a bill and "good luck getting me to pay you, ever."

I have used him several other times in the past. Things have always been excellent. He is the only person that I use for my electrical projects. He is honest and dependable.

They showed up in a timely manner and did not waste any time fixing the problem. They tried to explain what they were doing to keep the wires from crossing. It was a little too complicated for me to follow, so I just let them do their job. This company did a good, wonderful job.
