Tl;dr: Company has nonexistent communication, does shoddy work, and not a single person in the organization acknowledged there was problem with the workmanship, communication, or apologized for the issues we had, leading me to believe this is standard for this company and that most customers do not complain or make them do work correctly. Issues: Classic Restoration came highly recommended by our insurance adjuster, and while we were starting the claims process, our Project Manager, Ben, was extremely responsive and helpful. Once our project began, and we moved out of our house into a hotel, communication died. We were not provided updates on timelines although we asked for them repeatedly. We asked for revised estimates due to changes we made and were never provided them. We were told that painting was going to happen on Thursday, go by the house on Saturday and painting hadn’t started. This also happened when our new floors were supposed to be laid, and work in the bathroom shower was supposed to start. It all culminated when we were told that our house would be completed on Saturday, July 1st. Our insurance adjuster told us to move out of the hotel on Saturday as our house would be done that day. We were out of town for the holiday weekend, and arrived home Sunday night, to a home with the shower NOT completed, no toilet installed, and our water off. No one told us that our work was incomplete, and we had to turn our water on ourselves and thankfully had another toilet upstairs we could use for the night. When the workers came Monday, July 3rd to finish the bathroom, they did a horrible job with the tile work in our bathroom. The tile was not straight, the corners did not match up, in one section there was actually a divot that looked like someone had pushed the tile into the wall. They had pulled the tile out further than it had been previously right to the edge of our towel rack and had actually grouted the towel rack INTO the edge of the shower rather than moving it. I complained and made them redo the work. It took an extra 3.5 weeks to complete due to continuing poor workmanship. The day before the work was finally completed, I was told at 2:30 pm that workers had been at my house that day getting everything done right, and to please check it when I got home. When I arrived home at 4:45p, the worker had only arrived 15 minutes earlier and had not started work at all yet. I’m not sure if I was purposefully lied to or whether the issue lay with between the contractor and subcontractor. I chose tile 3 weeks before it was installed. In those weeks I repeatedly asked for updates on what the tile I chose cost vs. my estimate and was never provided an update. When I went to MSI, the wholesale company, to pick out the tile, I was informed I should have come with my contractor as MSI would not provide pricing information. I simply had to pick tile I liked, and hope that it fit within my budget. I had to do the whole thing flying blind. When the job was finally completed correctly, I asked again for an itemized invoice showing the actual costs of the tile I chose. I was denied, and told that actually I chose something more expensive but that they “elected” to only charge me my estimate due to “frustrations” with the job. This may be true, but I believe that I chose cheaper tile, and the fact that they wouldn’t provide me with actual costs makes me suspicious and leaves me with a feeling of distrust and unease. Throughout the entire process, and especially during the last 3.5 weeks of waiting for the company to fix the poorly installed tile, it became apparent that the company has absolutely no customer service skills or pride in their work. The last few weeks I was working with Ajay, who I believe is the president of the company. He kept asking for final payment, and I would have to remind him of additional issues that needed to be fixed before I would send it. Not once was I apologized to for the faulty workmanship, not once did anyone even acknowledge that there was an issue. No one stated that this was not their standard of workmanship. This leads me to believe that they often do sub-par work, and that most customers do not complain and allow them to get away with it. Eventually they did finally complete the job to professional standards, but I do not recommend this company at all, and urge you to choose another contractor.
Description of Work: Classic Restoration was chosen for us by AAA, as we had a water leak that caused enough damage for us to put it through our Home Insurance policy. We had to replace all the laminate floors in our downstairs, and completely tear out and redo our master shower, toilet and powder room toilet.

Not good - their estimate was $699 and their final bill (with no prior warning or discussion) was $1,082. They refuse to discuss this and offered no adjustment. I won't use them again.

Classic Restoration came in immediately and did the work for me. They worked 6 hours and were there to 10PM. They had to take my cabinets and put plastic on my hard wood floors. They are very customer oriented. I am very satisfied with there work and would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I hired Classic Restoration to clean up the water damage in my kitchen and dining room.
