They showed up early, were professional and competent. So far the system is working very well.

During consultation visit to our home: Seemed reluctant to want job. Said would send quote afterwards and we still have not gotten one.

The technician arrived on time and he diagnosed the problem quickly. From there on however it was a non starter. He said the problem was a logic board which would cost at least $1,000.00 to replace with parts and labor. However he said that due to the age of the heating unit another breakdown was probably imminent and it would make more sense to replace the entire unit. He added that due to the age of the home it would probably require "major" construction to properly install a new unit. He gave me a rough estimate of $10,000.00 to due the job but it would actually be substantially more than that. In the end I decided not to do anything. I agree that the unit and home are pretty old (the unit I am not sure but the home is about 60 years). My actual disappointment with this and a previous Angies list contractor is that it appears if you are rich you can get a job done through one of their recommended contractors. I doubt if I will be searching for a project vendor again on Angies.

Our 7-year old AC unit died. We had another company come out, and they told us it needed to be replaced. To make sure we weren't getting scammed, we contacted Alicia Air for a second opinion. They sent out a tech within 2 hours of us contacting them on Angie's List. Paul Lebarton came out and evaluated the system, giving us the same assessment as the first company. He was honest and straightforward, and very knowledgeable. He provided several different options for replacement, but I didn't feel like he was making a hard sales pitch. The price was actually higher than our other quote, but we attributed that to the more expensive brand (Carrier, vs. Goodman). We ultimately decided to go with Alicia for a full system replacement (the attic unit was 25 years old, so we decided to replace that too.) We paid our deposit on a Wednesday. We heard back from them the following Monday, and they scheduled the install for Wednesday. One week from deposit to install, in the hottest part of August. Pretty awesome. The other company quoted 4-6 weeks. They showed up right on time, and did the full install in a single day. Everything was done at very high quality, and they left the house spotless afterwards. The installers (Paul again + Roberto) were polite, thorough, and provided great service. Couldn't be happier with the result.

We called Alicia Air because they installed our original systems 33 years ago. We also got bids from 5 other businesses. Bryan Perez was our estimator/salesman. He was punctual, professional and thorough. He crawled under the house (in Silverado Canyon), inspected all the ducting as well as the old systems. He answered all our questions and provided a comprehensive proposal within 24 hours. We had a few follow-up questions and he or Laurie (in the office) got back to us right away. Alicia Air gave us a very competitive price for the 2 systems we needed. The install crew were Aaron, Derrick and Ben. They showed up before they were promised and stayed both days until the work was done and everything was to our satisfaction. We were confident that the systems they installed would be of the highest quality, but the customer service they provided was also of the highest quality. I would recommend Alicia Air with out qualification and appreciate their attention to detail.

Joe Daley arrived on time and made a thorough examination of my home. He was courteous and professional. He sent a reasonable estimate for a complete system by e-mail. I went with another company. I cannot speak to the quality of his work, as I did not contract with Alicia Air.

Very well. Knowledgeable crew, diligent in tracking down cause of failure of brand new AC condenser installed by another contractor. Alicia's bid for original installation of the condenser was several hundred dollars higher than the other contractor, and I made a mistake by going for the low bid. Nonetheless, Alicia came to my rescue, and I had them replace the old furnace and AC evaporator in conjunction with repairing the condenser. I will not hesitate to use Alicia for future furnace and AC work.

A++ service--outstanding. My townhome near the beach had no AC so I wanted to replace a 30 yr old furnace with a new HVAC. Gary Hopkins came to my home, took measurements, discussed placement of the compressor and even went as far as going to HB permit office to see whether it would be a problem to install unit in the back patio of a townhome. Gary listened to what I wanted. He was not pushy and didn't oversell. I received a quote for a new Carrier system promptly as promised at a reasonable price. Before installation, I needed to get approval from the HOA. Gary said he would refund my deposit if the HOA did not approve. Unfortunately, the HOA took more than 6 weeks to reply; so, Gary would occasionally check in with me. In the interim, Gary introduced me to an excellent electrician who installed the electrical system for the compressor. A "SHOUT OUT" to Loren Badten of Creative Electrics for doing an exceptional job at a reasonable price. When the day came for installation, a 3-man crew (Aaron, Josh & Justin) arrived on time wearing shoe covers, and carrying tarp to cover the work area. I was currently remodeling and replacing old flooring so I told them not to bother; but, they did it anyway because "it was their company policy." The crew worked all day, answered all my new thermostat questions, and cleaned up after themselves before they left. I have since called them back 2 times- to finish sealing the vent grills (they worked late, and they didn't seal all of them that day) & to check up on noise from the compressor (which turned out to be normal.) On both occasions- their customer service was impeccable. At the end, AA also filed for the permit and scheduled the HB city inspection. It was a pleasure doing business with Gary & the crew from Alicia Air. Thanks for a job well done!!!

They did an excellent job. Finished all of the system work and exchanged all of the vents in one day. They are very professional and their team is most knowledgable. I would hire them again.

The price was included in the price of the home. The quality has been fine. The install was great because I have had no issues. They also come out to do the maintenance, and that has been fine without any issues.

Very fast once we got him here. There was a 10 day wait because of heat wave.

First off...you get what you pay for, always, for any kind of work done. You buy low end, you get low end performance/results. We bought the top of the line and got top notch results. Aug 2016: We had the attic duct work in our 30 year old home replaced with the top of the line product, had a radiant barrier installed in our our attic and had extra blown in insulation added to attic (went from R19 to R38). Adding all of these to better insulate our home and upgrading our deteriorating original duct work made an incredible difference in the inside temperature of our home even with our old HVAC system. Money well spent.. Joe came to our home to help us figure our what we needed. He gave us several options and levels of materials to choose from. Joe is the kind of guy that comes across as honest, didn't pressure us and was very pleasant to work with. He got the proposal to us promptly and once we decided what we were going to do, he pulled the permit and the job was promptly scheduled around our availability. The crews that did the work were great. They were clean and left no mess in my home. Total cost for above: $6,655.00 May 2017: Replacing the entire HVAC system was super easy. We did get the top of the line Carrier system because we really wanted it to be quiet and efficient. Joe had the permits pulled and the install schedule handled and worked with us so we could get the job completed in our short time frame.. Again, Joe was easy to work with, promptly addressed our questions and his follow up was great. Paul installed the line set, and the AC compressor; Eric did the Forced air unit, coil and the thermostat. The job was clean and done in one day (the line set was laid prior to HVAC installation) Eric and Paul are very nice young men and Alicia Air should be very proud of the way they represent them. The result: AMAZING. We can stand right next to the AC compressor in our back yard and not hear the compressor running....Literally you can have a conversation and not raise your voice. The new HVAC keeps our home at an even temperature while using much less energy and is so quiet that you don't notice it on. While Joe didn't push us to get this set up, he did say that it was a great system especially since we had just done all the attic work. Joe was right and we are extremely happy. He took a look at my heater and then told me it was not to code and he can't work on it. I had no idea it wasn't to code and although I understand him not wanting to be liable, it was his dismissive demeanor and complete lack of giving me a solution. He basically told me my house was at risk for a fire, yet he didn't even give me a quote on how to fix the code issue and fire hazard after I asked. It was quite strange, but I'm hoping it was just one bad employee and not a reflection of the entire company. By the way. Another company did come in and fix it.

Air conditioning unit was replaced. Everything from the sales meeting to the finished installation went very smoothly and pleasant. The price beat our local competitors prices by far. Very happy and would definitely recommend!

Very well and after more than 5 years all are working fine. I can't remember the cost but it was fair when I did the competitive analysis.

We chose Alicia air based on already great reviews put up by other customers. The sales guy Gary showed up on time and estimated the whole furnace installation with coil at a reasonable price of $5341. It was a great price compared to other two quotes I had received. These guys not only did the job on time, they even got the inspections (city and state) scheduled on time for me to close my home sale on time. I was impressed!! Highly recommend Alicia Air....
