This relates to work done after the first and through the second of two leaks. The sheet rocking/ texturing in the kitchen is subpar. The custom cabinet repair is as good as its going to get. The issue having the most impact is the flooring. The flooring in itself would be fine. When installed they added a quarter-round trim instead of placing them under the existing trim. In addition to looking bad aesthetically the quarter-round is loose or missing in multiple areas. This has been reported multiple times since the original installation. On August 23, 2021 I posted several reviews regarding my issues with the work. The following day a gentleman from JCS called me. He said his name was Ronald Shoe(?). He left a message telling me he was aware I was unhappy with some of the work and wanted to see how he could address the issues. Due to several rounds of covid itself and required isolations due to exposure it was months before I returned Mr. Shoe's call. We spoke and he said he understood there were issues. He said he would send someone out to assess the issues and hopefully get things resolved. Michael, new JCS Project Manager, called and left a message on 04/13/22. We spoke the next day and agreed he would be out the following week. He came to my home on04/19/2022. I showed him all the issues and he took photos. Throughout the process he expressed agreement regarding the quality of work done including the flooring. He acknowledged that it was not laid down properly (under the baseboards), quarter-round only should have been used again the in places without baseboards and noted the areas that were bubbling/ popping up/ loose planks of vinyl. I also have photos of everything from before and after. On 04/28/2022 Michael called me and told me that JCS would not be doing any repairs. According to Michael the “higher ups” had met and made this decision. He told me that my “warranty” had expired in January. I asked how it could expire when there had been ongoing discussions regarding the issues, and it was determined there was no obligation to do anything since my “warranty” was no longer valid. JCS appears to believe if you ignore multiple complaints/ requests for and simply ignore customers requests/ take no action that this is an acceptable business practice. My contention is they were aware since the actual install there have been ongoing issues. They have communicated having received all my requests and I have acknowledgement of such. When Mr. Shoe and I initially spoke he was aware of who I was and the issues involved. The only reason I can see that JCS is choosing to repair their own work that has literally been an issue since install is because they did a few calculations and decided they don’t want to invest the manpower to fix the issue. Ironically, likely the same “cost saving” maneuver that initially caused the issue.

Do NOT use this “company” unless you want a contractor who refuses to listen to you, moves forward with services despite your requests/guidance/authorization, bills you for services that you stated up front they should not put in place, pads the bill with services never delivered, threatens you with “repossessing your house” (JEFF GLASS) when you try to hold them accountable, sends you blank invoices with dollar amounts attached, hides from the Better Business Bureau when you file a complaint, and begins litigation to try to get the money they don’t deserve. (I will gladly provide evidence to back up these claims to anyone who asks to refute any rebuttal offered by JCS.) Bottom line, if you make the bad decision to enter into an engagement with JCS Restoration, make sure that you track the time and tasks for every visit (you may need it to avoid fraudulent charges), ensure that everything on the bill is itemized and accurate, and that you do not allow they do not leave without signing something that states that they are responsible for anything that you have not specifically authorized. For your sake and the sake of your hard-earned money, do NOT trust or use JCS Restoration. Long story short, we contacted JCS Restoration to help us resolve a recurring water problem. A previous instance had cost us $12K+ out of pocket due to prolonged placement of drying equipment – fans, filter & dehumidifier, and we knew better than to let it happen again (or so we thought). They didn’t listen to ANY of our guidance or requests, did things their way, and left us with the same problem we called them about while trying to use up the entirety of our insurance claim on (a) equipment we told them not to place because it would be ineffective, and (b) fraudulent/inaccurate charges for services that were never provided. The only thing they DID provide was a $4.8K bill for what was ultimately demolition of some drywall and debris removal (other charges were unjustified). I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (ID # 14082435), but received word that it was closed because JCS Restoration failed to respond. Definitely something wrong with that process, but one thing at a time. Ask yourself this question. When there are SO many options out there, why would you risk doing business with someone who is going to ignore you as a homeowner & customer, try to use up your entire insurance claim on their services rather than your problem, and threaten you when you try to protect your hard-earned money? Go with another option. You’ll be thankful you did. These people are great, I had a leak in my bathroom from my toilet and they were able to come out within 3 hours from when I called in the afternoon. I got a detailed quote the next morning and I couldn't be happier that they work with insurances. If you need immediate help this company will be there to help! Thanks alot - Nick
