We had Roland and his crew take out our sliding glass door and frame in a window, and also had them frame in a new door in a different place. They did a great job, and the workers were all respectful and courteous. They came on time and Roland was available any time we had questions or concerns to discuss. I would hire Froland Carpenty again if I have another framing project.

I thought I was facing an expensive repair to a roof beam but after Roland inspected the beam he advised me that in his professional knowledge he did not feel any work was needed. I greatly appreciated his honesty and time.

Roland is a good guy, and his crew really works hard. Make sure you read the contract/estimate carefully; make sure you keep a copy of the agreement. Be sure you know what is "provided" under the agreement; otherwise, this contractor will ask you for more money. There was some trouble when the crew did not pre-paint the deck wood; they just primed the wood, so at the end you could see primer between the deck boards. I had to insist that they take another half a day and paint between the boards, but even at that there are some thin areas where you can see primer. I would rate the carpentry and execution of the carpentry as 5 star, and the painting and finish work as 3 stars. I told them to pre-paint the deck boards, but they did not do it. These guys are at the job site by 6:45; Roland will expect you to be up and read to chat at that time. This crew works for 9 full hours with very short breaks. The entire deck replacement went up on about two and half days. Speed seems to be of the essence. Froland was more expensive than all but one of the other bids, but they were ready to start within 48 hours. They worked hard and got the job done.

Had 4 different companies look at my project - to remove a cabinet and hood above our cooktop and install a new cooktop and hood. First thing that set Froland apart was that Roland emailed me a written estimate (others gave verbal but never followed up). Another thing - he either answered or returned every phone call within a short time - others usually didn't respond until late that evening or even the next day. Price was reasonable - not the cheapest quote I received, but way less than the costliest. Finally, they arrived on time, did an excellent job, and finished on time. I will definitely use them again.

Roland showed up when he said he would, got me the bid when he said he would, and started and finished when he said he would. We did a morning walk through of what was going to happen that day, and an evening phone call almost every day reviewing the day's work. I suffer from OCD, my wife's dad was a top builder in Illinois years ago, and my son is a car and motorcycle craftsman, so we are at the top of the pickiness scale. Roland dealt with us well, and was very fair on anything that came up above and beyond the original deal. By the way, his bid is priced out in detail, which helps avoid conflict down the road. The final product looks fantastic. We are already planning to use him on other projects.

Hired this company to replace several area of damaged siding. The bid was decent and the work was perfect and on time. Lots of communication to assure the repairs went off without a hitch. The cleanup was complete. I highly recommend this company.

Roland and his crew were great! They repaired a 2nd floor balcony, replaced the French doors and side lights, and repaired damaged kitchen walls. Roland was there every morning to discuss the next steps in the process and review potential problems. His crew was efficient, clean, and very pleasant. I have already recommended him to a neighbor.

Roland and his crew are hard workers and do excellent work. All appointments were kept early and ahead of schedule. The daily clean-up was great (they even stayed in pouring rain one day). We are so pleased with our new porch/balcony and are thrilled it is done in plenty of time for summer. Communication was excellent.
