Sureguard Windows

I had SureGuard installed all 18 windows and a patio door 19 years ago, in 2001, in my Arcadia house, when my child was just born in that house. Rick and his installer came to my house for quotation and also signed the contract with me, with a life time warranty for their windows. I never expected to use that warranty until 19 years later, when my child is already in college and i decided to move back to my house, after renting my house to some tenants for several years. These tenants really messed up with the house and almost half of the windows could not be opened or closed. The locks were broken and hardware inside the up-and-down windows are broken so these windows can not be opened and some can not be locked. Also many screens in the windows were in bad shape that when i tried to remove them to clean and replace the screen, the screen frame broke. The worst thing is that it seems like someone really know which window was broken and can not be locked and can be accessed from outside yard, so my house was constantly being broken in and things were stolen when no one was at home. I guess these thefts are insiders who really knew how to take advantage of the broken windows. I decided to take a chance and called SureGuard in July 2020. To my very surprise, this company still exists after this 19 years. And even surprisingly, it is Rick who picked up the phone. He asked me to text him the original contract (luckily I still have it) and honored my warranty. He and his technician came to my house to evaluate the windows, ordered the hardwares to fix them, and also replaced the screens for free, even to replaced my patio door for free after they found the hardware for that door is too difficult to get after this many years. The waiting time is a little longer than I expected. I had called several times for the installer to come after the hardware has arrived in their factory, but it had been 2 weeks and the installer was still busy. Then on the day that the installer was supposed to come, his truck was broken and I had complained to Rick that it was too hot in my house when we can not open windows, and Rick came to my house and fixed the windows by himself. I am very thankful for his help and empathy. Overall I am impressed by their integrity in treating customers and honoring their contract. I did not expect that 19-year-old contract is still honored and I am grateful that they did beyond they already committed, being both professional and caring for their customers. As for the quality of the windows, they still work beautifully after these 19 years, blocking the heat waves and seal the bugs out. I heard that their new windows may not use the same good material as they used 19 years ago, that might be the result of the market price competitions. The only shortcoming is that you have to keep calling them to follow up with your order and installation time, maybe because now they are too busy. I would highly recommend this business with their current management team. I wish this business can last for many years to come and keep its good tradition.

Inital contact was 6/10/13 and they arrived 6/14/14 to install the windows. The sales person miss counted how many windows we needed and they were two short. It took them from 6/14/14 to 6/27/13 to come and install the two windows that were short. The intial order called for3 opaque windows for the bathroom. One was opaque and the other two were clear. It took them from 7/27/13 to 8/5/13 to replace the windows that were wrong and one of the pains was cut wrong again. After a vareity of calls telling us they were going to show up and never appeared or called. We finally got the last of the replacements on 8/7/13. They also needed to repair the master bedroom windows as they needed cauking and the molding needed to be stuck down as it was coming up.

I EVENTUALLY GOT EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. THEY HAD A LITTLE COMMUNICATION PROBLEM ,AND WE TOOK CARE IT. IT WASN'T THAT BAD. IT WAS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. WE HAD MORE PROBLEMS WITH THE INSTALLATION AND PEOPLE COMING ON TIME, BUT WE GOT IT TAKEN CARE OF. WE WERE JUST FINE.
