Description of Work: For years this company serviced my pool and was very pleased with what provided. |Unfortunately, something really seemed to have changed on May 8, 2013 when I provided a deposit (half of the cost) and contracted them to provide |New pool equipment and installation, tile, painting/resurfacing was initiated with a firm commitment that I would have the pool completed by my son's HS graduation by June 20th, or I would wait until the end of Summer. The June 20th date was not met and had I not been in constant contact, it is my opnion it would not have been completed until much later. During the process had to repeadetly request invoices with actual costs they paid for equipment. When I did receive them, the costs for certain equipment ie pool light was very high. We were able to negotiate some of these matters. However, workmanship was poor on resurfacing, cosmetic issues which they ended up blaming on me for "rushing" them to have pool completed by July 4th (original date was June 20th) When I communicated repeatedly to owner to have the corrections to be made after Labor Day so I could get some use out of the pool for the summer, he finally responded by advising he was taking 6 months off from "the field" and would be in contact with me in April 2014. As this was not only unacceptable, it seemed highly unusual. I cancelled any further services with their accounting dept. As of July 2014 I have not received any further communication from the owner or the company. |There was another matter of being asked to pay $10k (and to utilize their credit facility) upfront to prepay 5 years of pool service. This was not a contract that I entered into and not ever anything I had heard of being done. |
