Business began in 1980, serving the Long Island, New York area. Relocated to southern California in 2001. Licensed over 35 years as a remodeling contractor. I assure complete customer satisfaction by personally working on and/or managing every project.
Robert is the best contractor we’ve ever had! His attention to detail and his craftsmanship are stellar. Over the years, he has redone our kitchen, our bathroom, and recently he built us a loft bedroom in our daughters’ room. He raised the ceilings from 8 to 12 feet and the results are amazing! He built us a beautiful hard maple ladder from scratch and made a metal pipe railing for the loft as well. He added lighting and plywood in our attic for easy storage. He added a ceiling fan and new electrical/usb outlets throughout. He even added fun led color lights under the loft bed to add a cool lighting effect to the room. My daughters absolutely love their new space! We also had him design and build us a gorgeous floating bookshelf for our dining room and we could not be happier with it! It’s so amazing to have a beautiful space to display our books. We would 100% recommended Robert for all of your remodeling projects!
Description of Work: Loft bedroom remodel and floating bookcase in dining room
Robert provided complete concierge services when it came to selecting major purchases, for things like cabinets, fixtures, doors, windows, stone, etc. He accompanied us to each of his preferred vendors, and lent his insight to help us make informed decisions. Like any big renovation project, it requires a lot of patience and understanding about the realities of construction, time to accomplish major phases, especially renovation vs. new construction. I would say it went as well as could be expected. There were some hiccups along the way, but Robert did everything in his power to minimize this, warn us of things in advance, and generally help us get through it all. He was very fair with us anytime there were unforeseen setbacks.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of two existing bathrooms. Convert existing bedroom to 3rd bathroom. Many many other upgrades - new doors, jams, crown molding, floors, windows, plumbing, electrical, hvac upgrade, walls moved, new stairs & railings, lighting, etc. The list goes on and on. This was a large project that took the better part of a year. Robert remained on task and focused throughout, even with Covid supply chain challenges. I've done a fair amount of handy man repairs and improvements over the years on this house, I am an engineer by trade, and I have to say not only was I impressed with Roberts knowledge on virtually every aspect of the remodel, but it turned out to be an education for myself also. The quality of every bit of his work was top notch. Much more so than I would have insisted on or expected, but that's just the way he does things, and it really shows. He's very honest and I've not met anyone that works the crazy hours he does, literally 7 days a week, with very few exceptions. Not only did Robert bring his extensive building knowledge to the project, but he helped us realize that our original idea and plans were not really what would have benefited us the most. Not to say he up sold us on anything, but rather, he always provided us with options and ideas based on his extensive experience.
I called Robert for an estimate, left a voicemail and he returned my call within a few minutes. He arrived on time for the estimate and took the time to explain exactly what the plan would be for the repairs. A couple of days later he emailed his detailed estimate which was easy to read and seemed like a very fair quote. Robert finished the job on time with no surprise charges. He has an eye for detail, and wanted to be sure that the repairs were done correctly and everything was restored to it's original condition. When the job was complete, you can't even tell that there was ever an issue, or that anything had been repaired. He is knowledgeable and a great person. We won't hesitate to call him the next time we need repairs done to our home. Thank you Robert!
We had been considering a home renovation to include a living area floor plan and kitchen remodel for about 10 years. We were unsure of the exact design and extremely concerned about finding a competent contractor. We’d heard so many negative stories from friends and neighbors regarding bad experiences with contractors that we kept putting off the decision to get the project started. Finally talked to a Real Estate friend who had worked with a contractor, Robert Sappo, on several projects including one on his own home with positive results. So, we pulled the trigger and scheduled a ‘meet and greet’ with Robert. We asked a lot questions and picked his brain pretty thoroughly and Robert asked a lot questions to determine what we were looking for and how realistic we were budgetarily. One of the most critical points he made was that he only works on one project at a time and that was huge for me. As I mentioned earlier we knew we wanted to open up our old 1975 floorplan and do a living, dining, kitchen renovation but not sure exactly what was going to work best for us. During that first meeting Robert was able assess what we were looking for and suggested a floorplan redesign which included wall removals, window and sliding door repositioning and a kitchen expansion. These were ideas that we hadn’t thought of until he pointed them out. We were impressed with his creativity and decided to hire Robert and go forward with the project. The rest is history, Robert guided us through every step of the process. He assisted us in the selection of all the product and materials we would need to complete the project. He even escorted us to all of the providers of cabinets, appliances, flooring, granite and backsplash tile. As the project began Robert’s knowledge and experience became immediately apparent. The sequencing and scheduling of events was very orderly. He was very aware of the disruption a project like this can create and was extremely considerate and went out of his way to keep us as functional as possible at the end of every day. He even provided a portable kitchen sink with counter and dishwasher which he hooked up at the end of each day. He was always punctual, showed up when he said he would and there was a very minimal amount of down time throughout the project. As a project like this progresses there are always changes and add-ons as you move along and he always readily and easily accommodated them with no objection. Robert performs virtually all of the work himself, he is a man of many skills. The quality of his work is exceptional. He is a real craftsman, he's extremely conscientious and demands of himself the best quality possible. A project of this magnitude could have been frustrating and disappointing had we chosen a different contractor. Working with Robert was none of that, it has been a pleasure. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this renovation. It was completed to our complete satisfaction in terms of schedule and quality. We gladly recommend that you consider Robert Sappo Construction for your project. Frank & Cheryl DeAugustine

Robert is quite simply the best contractor we have ever come across. We were incredibly lucky to find him, and we are sure our kitchen would never have turned out as fantastically as it did without him. First, and most importantly to us, he is the most honest and forthright person in the business. He will tell you exactly what needs to be done, lay out all the options, let you know the possible negatives of each option, and then help you to make the best decision. Robert keeps meticulous notes showing time and materials, and sits down with you regularly to explain how the finances are going and the plan moving forwards. You always know exactly where you stand, and exactly what you’re paying for. Secondly, he’s a master at his trade. After being swindled by another unscrupulous contractor, we were really unsure of where to go with the project. He came in, looked at our plans, and immediately came up with suggestions on how to improve them. He’s not pushy - he’ll do the job however you want it - but the end result exceeded anything we or the first company could have come up with. We’ll never know exactly how much money we saved going with Robert, but the end result was so much better and cheaper than we had been told to expect by any other company. Third, he’s extremely detailed oriented. Nothing is good enough for Robert unless it’s perfect. He’s the type of person who goes home at the end of the day and comes back the next day to tell you all the ideas he had overnight. Everything he did on the house is solid, meticulous craftsmanship. When he brought in other subcontractors to do parts, such as painting and drywall, they were also excellent and handpicked by him. Robert makes a very difficult situation - a major remodel while you’re living in the house - as easy as possible. He did everything he could to minimize disruption and keep the house functioning. It is obvious that Robert cares about his work and about his clients. If you are considering any type of remodel, especially a kitchen, we just can’t recommend Robert enough. He is in high demand, so there is sometimes a wait for his services as he generally only does one large job at a time so he can dedicate himself to it. But our advice is to wait for him if you can - he is definitely worth it. We will certainly use him again for any future work we have.
We used Robert for a bathroom remodel. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work performed. Robert and his crew were very professional and friendly. I especially loved the communication with Robert. He routinely verified what time the next day’s work would commence and would follow it up by showing up promptly at the specified time. We will definitely use Robert for our future jobs.

Great! We gave Robert access to our house while we were on vacation. We trust him completely. When we returned, it was as if they were never here, except that the counter top looked flawless. He did this for free, as we are long-time customers.
Description of Work: I have used Robert Sappo construction several times. This time Robert and his counter top installer came out to repair a small chip in our quartz kitchen counter top. I had the small piece that fell off. They re-attached the chip in such a way that I cannot see where it is. It's perfect.
In 2014 we decided to remodel our kitchen, bathroom and change our floors. My husband looked at several websites and read many reviews. In the end we decided to interview three contractors from Angie’s List. Robert Sappo was the third who came to our house. He was different from all others, while listening to our ideas he was looking around and when we finished he put forward some of his ideas. At first we thought them impractical or even impossible to carry out. Rob said with a smile that nothing is impossible and with his understating and convincing manner he changed our minds and within minutes we knew he was the one. In February 2015 we started the remodeling and for our convenience we decided to move out of our house. We had no idea on how complicated an important a remodeling job can be. Bob was our savior. He was guiding us, helping us with suggestions and spent several afternoons taking us to see marble and tiles suppliers and giving us advice. He was very patient and helpful and has a wonderful sense of humor. Robert is a perfectionist, he works to the highest standards, his billing is clear and punctual and with him there are no surprises. The remodeling took nearly eight months but in the end he gave us a home that is our dream home. Robert wasn’t just our contractor but also our advisor, designer and architect and we would not want anyone else to carry out any future projects.
Description of Work: Complete remodeling of kitchen, 3 bathrooms, garage, whole house re-flooring, painting, rewiring etc.
Robert Sappo has completed many projects for us over the last 5 years. His work ethic and attention to detail on his projects is always excellent. I have recommended Robert to friends in the past and he will be the the first person I call on for any future projects.
Description of Work: Bathroom remodel, ceramic flooring, water damage repair, plumbing, and entry door replacement.
Robert Sappo is the best contractor I have ever hired. He has a wealth of experience to draw on, and he gave us very helpful advice on our project. He looked at our project and we talked about it at length to make sure he had thought out every possible outcome of what we were looking for. His price was outstanding and the quality of workmanship is beyond anything I could have hoped for. He is very meticulous in his work and he strives for perfection. He was very prompt and he would always call ahead before our meeting or before work was to begin. I would highly recommend his services and I would definitely use him again and recommend him to friends.
Description of Work: We had new french doors installed in the outside wall of our kitchenette.
This was our fourth time working with Robert Sappo. It was no mistake we went back to him for our kitchen. He had already remodeled our two bathrooms and installed a sliding door, a window and a ceiling fan, all of which were very successful projects. Robert is a perfectionist. He wants the job to be done to his exacting specifications. His standards are much higher than mine. He was here, on the job personally everyday. He was also totally available by text and phone. I would not describe him as a cheap or expensive. We always find his bids reasonable and feel that we get more than our money's worth. We also like the people he brings in to assist him. We like his assistant, Dickie, as well as the pros who he brings in to do sheet rock, paint, tile and stucco. He also helped us shop for appliances, fixtures, tile, counter tops and cabinets. What a guy! It went great! We would hire him again, happily. Like the bathrooms that preceded this project, Robert's kitchen turned out fantastic.
Description of Work: We totally remodeled our kitchen (keeping the same basic footprint). We stripped the kitchen down to the studs. Robert and his crew installed tile, cabinets, plumbing, lighting and switches, counter tops, appliances, a new window, paint and stucco. We had our whole house re-piped (by someone else) at the same time and Robert and his team patched all of the holes in the walls, re-textured and re-painted. Not only did this save us money, but Robert's work is much better than the re-piping company would have been. On top of the whole kitchen and the re-piping repairs, Robert also demoed three closets in our garage, sheet rocked the one bare wall, and hung a storage basket under the rafters. He also found time to catch some details like reinstalling our hall pot lights, which someone else had installed poorly. Finally, it was Robert who solved the problem of our microwave handle which got too hot when the cook top was being used. He researched materials on line, found a perfect non-conductive material and installed it himself. (This was for no charge.) So, keep in mind when you look at the cost, that this was much more than just a kitchen remodel.

Robert is an amazing contractor! We absolutely LOVE our new guest bathroom. He started by completely gutting our old bathroom and linen closet. He installed new electrical in the bathroom including overhead LED recessed lights, and wall sconce lights above the mirrors. We wanted our shower head and bath faucet to be in a different location in the bathroom and so he had to jack hammer up our crazy thick concrete to reroute the shower/bath plumbing to the new location. He installed two wall mounted faucets that turned out beautifully and installed our new toilet. We now have two sinks instead of just one in our guest bath. Robert installed our cabinets, counters, and sinks. Robert has a great attention to detail and went along shopping with me to help pick out faucets, sinks, a bath tub etc. He has great ideas and input from all of years of experience being a contractor. He also installed a 10 in. solar tube in our windowless bathroom...it made such and amazing difference to see so much natural light in a room that used to be a dark hole! We decided to put a barn door going into the bathroom. I picked out a beautiful vintage door that Robert helped me to reinforce to make sure that it was strong enough to use as a barn door. He installed the barn door hardware and he even devised a way to be able to lock the barn door from the inside using a pretty vintage cabinet lock. I wanted to be able to lock the door, but be able to open it from the outside in case there was an emergency. Robert was able to come up with a way to use the vintage doors existing key hole on the outside and was able to line it up with cabinet lock from the inside so the door can be safely unlocked from the outside by sticking something through the key hole to push the cabinet lock out of the way. This was very important to me for my young kids safety. I was so happy with the thought and workmanship that Robert put into making it work and still look pretty! We had to patch some dry wall in the process of the remodel. It is very hard to match new drywall texture to existing drywall. Robert used a large roller and drywall mud to roll on a thick coat and then lightly wiped off the excess. The results were awesome...it made the new drywall totally match the old! He also took out our ugly old tile floor and he replaced it with amazing travertine in a herringbone pattern. It turned out absolutely gorgeous! It pulled the hole house together. We even decided to do the subway tiled shampoo niche in the bathroom in a herringbone pattern to match. Robert helped me to pick out and install new interior doors, baseboards and door casings. They were beautifully installed! The doors feel so solid and they look amazing! He always takes the extra time to make sure that everything he does is done perfectly. I love that he always asks my opinion about how I want something to be installed before he installs it. He also fixed our dinning room chandelier light that wasn't working and unclogged a few of our drains while he was waiting for some sealer to dry. He even changed our washing machine hoses to the better metal kind since the rubber ones tend to burst without notice. He also installed a new water heater for us...our old one was 12 years old! Our hot water has never been so nice! You will not ever regret picking Robert as your contractor. He is so nice, always on time and does amazing work! He likes everything to be perfectly done which is what you want in a contractor. We used him last summer for our kitchen remodel and we will definitely be using him again in the future!

Very professional, and great to work with. Robert closely supervise his all his projects, and it shows. The final result looks so much better than other homes in the neighborhood that have had the same done by other contractors. Had great ideas on the initial walk around, and every member of his crew clearly took pride in their work. Considering having more work done, now that I have found a contractor who makes sure that the job is done right.

I contact Robert after reading many reviews on Angie’s List. Off all the people I contacted, I felt the most at ease with Robert. You can tell that he takes pride in his work. We met numerous times and many hours prior to starting our bathroom remodeling projects to discuss design ideas. Robert is full of ideas and options on how to get the bathroom you’ve dreamed of! He will shop for materials with you if needed. If not, he has a list of local stores that he has vetted. The other thing about Robert is that he doesn’t mark up material costs. He passes the costs on to you and will even include his contractor discount. Just about every other contractor I interviewed had a upcharge for materials. Robert is on-site during most of the job. He doesn’t just check in and a leave a crew behind. He’s communicates well via phone or text and is accessible. He’s also very considerate of your family’s needs during the remodel. For example, he made sure that we always had two working toilets during our bathroom remodels. He even came back late in the day to re-install a toilet that had been removed earlier that day. This was very helpful for a family of five. As for time, our remodel was like clockwork. He had his subcontractors lined up one after another to quickly move through the project. There was hardly any downtime waiting for the next step. I think anyone would be happy with Robert and we’ll be sure to use him again in the future.
Robert Sappo and his crew did an outstanding job with a total renovation of our vintage 1979 master bathroom. During the entire process from beginning to end Robert exhibited the highest degree of professionalism and competence. We had worked with him before on a much smaller project and due to that prior experience and the plethora of positive reviews on AngiesList.com we decided to contact him for a bid on our bathroom remodel. .Right from the beginning and throughout the project Robert responded promptly to ALL calls and emails, even on weekends. Robert provided many excellent suggestions on design concepts and materials for the remodel and accompanied us to various suppliers in order to select materials and fixtures. As the job progressed he suggested several key modifications that really made a difference in the overall functionality and elegance of the bathroom. (Yes we spent more than we planned but the final result was absolutely stunning). For practically the entire duration of the job Robert and his assistant were on site and always were pleasant and professional. Robert does much of the work himself and uses only highly competent and reliable specialty subcontractors. Everyone showed up on time, performed their jobs efficiently with a minimum of disruption around the house, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. The end result is a fantastic master bathroom and we are very pleased with the value received. We have some other remodel jobs in the house that we are planning and would only consider using Robert Sappo Construction for these.

Robert is great to work with. Personally, he is a pleasure. Professionally, he is top notch. Robert totally gutted our master bath, helped design the new bath and put it all back together again. He removed a wall, turned a closet into cabinets, added a skylight and installed all new plumbing, electrics and fixtures. Several times he took us shopping for tile, counter top, cabinets and fixtures. He had great ideas that added so much to our design. He suggested a skylight that opens. He designed a unique shampoo niche made of frosted glass, which lets natural light in during the day and is softly lit from outside at night (replacing the need for a nightlight). He also redesigned the ceiling for a clean, modern look. Robert's work is the best. He is a perfectionist and refuses settle for less. He also can't help but add small extras as he works. For instance, while painting some outside stucco repair, he touched up other flaws in the paint that had nothing to do with the project (or his bill). He notices things that no one else would notice and insists on fixing what he considers less than excellent. Robert also wants his customers to be happy with the job. At no charge to us, he returned to adjust the bath fixtures to our liking. When given the choice between doing something quickly, or doing it right, he always opts for doing it right. His estimate was dead on. In fact, he owed us three hundred dollars at the end. We feel his prices are reasonable (they do not include decorative fixtures). His subcontractors (tile, paint, sheet rock, skylight and shower glass) and assistant also maintained his standards for high quality. Everyone was on time. Everyone cleaned up after themselves every day. Everyone was pleasant to work with. This is the third project that Robert has done at our house. The others include a remodel of the guest bath, adding a ceiling fan (20 foot ceiling), and adding a sliding door and new window. We have been very happy with all of his work. We wholeheartedly recommend Robert Sappo. We will use him for our next remodel.
Description of Work: Totally remodeled our master bath.
I have been a member for over a year and have used several services taken from Angie's List. I have never written a review until now. I purchased a new home that was in need of flooring that I thought could wait a few months. Once I discovered the carpet had an animal smell and stains in the home I knew I needed flooring as soon as possible. In order to get flooring my husband & I planned on removing double side chimney and put in french doors. I also needed to build a wall between two rooms that the TV would be mounted. Problem, my husband was out of town for another month and I could not move in with the smell of pet urine. I was on my own. To add to the stress my husband is a perfectionist. This would be something if not done right could cause major issues. I called three contractors. I was impressed with Robert's experience and knowledge. I held my breath until I received the bid and to my surprise it was very reasonable. He answered all my questions, asked me several questions to make sure I received exactly what I wanted. Every phone call and text was answered in a timely matter, even on Sunday. The doors and wall were perfect, It turned out beautiful! This only took him 4 days. I was able to order the flooring. Now I wanted doors to my master bathroom for privacy. I asked him to call me in-between his large jobs and he did. I had two separate 24 inch doors already that I wanted to use. He framed to perfect french doors and they look awesome, not at all like they were added after the home was built. He also removed the light soffits in two bathrooms, The 2nd job only took him two days He was at my home and worked on the jobs personally (with assistance) until it was finished. He was neat and organized with fans running to eliminate as much dust in the home as possible. Never cancelled a day of work. His bid was on target, no surprises.
Description of Work: Removed double sided Fireplace and replaced with French Doors. Build media wall, where no wall existed, running electrical for outlets, TV & ceiling light. Once he finished I had him put two separate 24inch doors that I had and he constructed to French Doors leading to my master bathroom, which had no doors, for privacy. Removed two bathroom light soffits.

Fantastic. We absolutely love our kitchen!! High quality work, reliable time and cost estimates, family-friendly, and excellent attention to detail. Robert accompanied us through every step: selecting cabinets, countertops, appliances, etc. He went to countless tile store with me to pick out new kitchen flooring and was extremely patient and helpful with his insight. He is also very creative and his many years of experience shows in the knowledge that he has to offer. He offered us helpful tips in designing our kitchen layout-Such as widening our kitchen and shortening a wall to make the kitchen larger! We have so much more room now, and we would have never thought about doing these changes without Robert's help! He even helped hang curtains and extra shelves for us! His number one priority is making sure that the customer is happy with the result! And we are so very happy with how our kitchen turned out! We intend to use him again for a bathroom remodel in the future.

What can we say? Robert was fantastic. We love our remodel and would definitely recommend Robert Sappo Construction for any job. Robert is very professional and is a hands-on contractor. When we solicited bids, many of the contractors were going to sub out the work. We wanted a contractor who would do the work in our home and not rely on subcontractors. Robert was our man. Here are some highlights of our experience with Robert: -he and his workers are punctual -Robert would make excellent suggestions on how to proceed with projects. Would point out the pros and cons of the various options -no "nickeling and dimeing" Stuck to his quote. When we added to the project he explained the costs. No surprises in billing -excellent workmanship -very enjoyable process and Robert was always accessible, reachable -made some great design suggestions that we used -very easy going and professional To illustrate Robert's commitment to his clients, here's how he helped us with our tile purchase: When I told Robert I was going to the tile store to purchase the tile, he told me to hold off. He insisted on coming to the house to measure again, just to confirm (he said "measure twice, cut once") and he wanted to go with us to the tile store to make sure the order was put in correctly. When our order arrived, Robert noticed the bullnose tile was not up to professional standards and he himself returned it to the store and spent over an hour trying to explain to the tile people why the tile was manufactured incorrectly and would be of no use. He then wrote a letter on our behalf to our credit card company explaining why we should be refunded our money. Thanks to Robert, we prevailed. We will definitely use Robert again. Can't say enough good things about our experience.
Description of Work: remodeled two bathrooms, kitchen counters and backsplash, new fireplace front, recessed lighting through house
Robert Sappo was very responsive, thorough, flexible in scheduling, worked fast, and communicated clearly throughout the repair process. His dry wall specialists and painters worked fast. Price was reasonable. Only one minor complaint is that the dry wall specialist left outside hose bibb not completely shut and so water leaked for two days before I noticed it. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend and use again.

Our master bathroom remodel was the first major remodel in which we have been involved and Robert was terrific from the beginning of the project through its completion. His proposal was reasonable when compared to other bids we obtained and was very reasonable given the level of service he provided. Robert was instrumental in making design suggestions as well as to the best places to purchase materials such as the plumbing fixtures, cabinets, tile, and marble countertop but always allowed us to make our own decisions about the design of the bathroom. His recommendations as to where to purchase materials for the project saved us a great deal of money and enabled us to obtain materials that universally were of the highest quality. Robert's workmanship and attention to detail is impeccable. The same applies to his employees and the subcontractors he uses. I would also note that Robert did a substantial amount of the work himself. He was also very patient with us when we decided to make certain changes midstream in the project when we found that some changes would improve the beauty and functionality of the bathroom. Robert always took the time to make sure the work performed was of the highest quality and even after completion checked with us a couple of times that we were happy with the completed bathroom and that everything was functioning perfectly. The bathroom came out beautifully and my wife and I canmot be happier. I cannot write highly enough of Robert, his employees, and subcontractors. We definitely anticipate using Robert Sappo Construction for other remodel projects we plan on doing in the future.

Everything, and I mean everything, was done perfectly. The tile was 16x24" and was laid in a brick pattern. This meant they had to be super careful to keep the pattern true. The crew cleaned up each night so mess was minimal. I most highly recommend Robert Sappo & his crew if you want a 1st class job.

The whole job went smoothly and it turned out so beautiful! I have a small kitchen and it is 20 years old. The cabinets were oak stained with a varnish. As the cabinets aged the color seemed to appear a reddish tint. They were horrible and the kitchen was outdated. The fire door, which leads from the garage into the kitchen, opened into the kitchen. Robert recommended to have the new door swing into the garage for easier access when carrying groceries or bringing other things into the house from the garage. He also remodeled the refrigerator area and made it a built-in look. My refrigerator is 7 years old and looked too bulky so at this point I had decided to keep it. In the future I will purchase a countertop width refrigerator so it fits perfectly and evenly with the counter. Robert is a very professional, honest, and passionate about his work. He is very experienced and a perfectionist in everything that is does. Tim is the same way and I feel they make a great team. In fact, all that people that worked on the job for Robert were very nice and professional and did a great job. I also forgot to mention that Robert can save you quite a bit of money on certain items in certain places because when he purchases items for you he will get a discount through his contractor license and pass those savings onto his clients. He will also take you to the granite places and purchase what you want and save you money. He's so great in that way. I will always use Robert for all my future projects. He's the best!!
Description of Work: Robert and his associate, Tim completed a demo and remodel of my kitchen and installed tile flooring throughout the entry, hallway, bathroom and kitchen. He also installed new kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances (microwave, oven and dishwasher), granite countertops, sink, faucet, fire door, and a cabinet in my family room. New baseboards were also added to the entry walls, bathroom and hallway. The former rooms mentioned were also painted.
Our job was a complete demolition and remodel of 2 ½ baths. The work involved electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting, installation, etc. We couldn?t be happier with the results. We searched Angie?s List and chose 3 names that had ?A? ratings and good comments from other users. The first one we called said they only did bathrooms if there was a kitchen involved. The second came and looked at our job but never called back with a quote. When we called them they said they didn?t want the job. Then we called Robert Sappo Construction and made an appointment for him to come and look at our job. Robert arrived at the appointed time and was very personable and knowledgeable. We talked for several hours and he measured and gave ideas about what we could do. He also was able to quote the jobs on the spot and give us a printed initial quote. We felt very comfortable with Robert and decided to go with his quotes. We have never tried a remodeling of this size before and we were lost as to what to do first. Robert gave us ideas about where to go to shop for everything we needed and what brands to buy. He also made himself available to look at what we were interested in to make sure we didn?t get the wrong things. He was very helpful in guiding us through this process and spent lots of time going with us to pick out counter tops, cabinets and tile. He was always upbeat and positive about everything. We soon got the hang of shopping online and going to local stores and showrooms. We managed to round up everything we needed and Robert came to start as soon as this was finished. He started the job when he said he would and arrived on time or called to let us know what was happening. Robert is a perfectionist and really is concerned about doing the best job that he can do. He likes everything to be up to his standards and those are very high. He took lots of time to make sure we understood what he was doing and if he felt there was a need to change something to make it better. He worked quickly and very efficiently. His helpers were polite and did their part of the job without difficulty. For the most part they were clean and tidy everyday they were at the house. Our remodel went very smoothly and we have 2 ½ beautiful bathrooms to show for it. Robert?s expertise and guidance are what made the job less stressful and made the end product something we are very proud of. Needless to say, we will not hesitate to call Robert on all future work.
