It went horribly! This man was sent to me by American Home Shield (AHS), my home warranty company. After checking my system, he told me that my A/C coils were leaking and that I had the choice of just replacing my coils (which he says AHS would pay for) or I could replace the entire system, which was highly preferable, due to the fact that I would have "new coils" and an ancient furnace and condenser. This made sense to me. He then launched into a presentation on an entire A/C and heating system which I could not nearly afford. So, I told him I had to think about it and he left. Meanwhile, we continued to suffer from not having central A/C. I delayed making a decision for about 6 weeks and I finally contacted him and told him I just wanted the coils replaced. After putting me off for a few more weeks, saying he needed to get a new authorization to do the repair from AHS, he FINALLY showed up at my house. I remained inside working while he was supposedly taking a fresh look at my system. He knocked on my door and said, "It's all fixed! Whoever serviced your A/C condenser before simply left one of the freon valves open and all of the freon leaked out". I was extremely upset, because it was VERY OBVIOUS that he knew from his very first visit 2 months earlier that all that was needed was to shut the valve and recharge the system with freon!! There was a tiny pin-hole of a leak, as it turns out, because he admitted that the leak was small and that the freon charge would probably last at least a year or two before it got low again. Bottom line? This guy LIED to me so just so he could sell me an entire new system! As a result, my family suffered through a very hot and uncomfortable summer because of his lies. I don't think he ever dreamed that I'd call him back and ask him to just replace the coils, which didn't even need to be replaced in order to get the system working again. I cannot ever remember being lied to so badly and not having any clue that I was being shafted! It was such a terrible feeling when I realized that he had attempted to cheat me. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Run if you are ever referred to him by AHS!
