Norseman Electric Inc

We used Norseman Electric to install a backup home generator. The basic installation went ok, however, we never knew from day to day the status of the installation or when they’d be back. Then they disappeared and the generator was ‘off’. We called them and was told there was a problem with the wifi. They couldn’t get the wifi working. That maybe it needed to be replaced. We should call Generac. We called and Generac told us to run the generator - it needed to be on for various checks to be done weekly. And that the wifi was not needed - it’s a nice-to-have - for the generator to run. That lost 3 weeks of generator use because Norseman electric didn’t know that. They also never pulled the required permit to the installation. After many emails to them that went unanswered, we went to the state licensing board to complain. We still have no permit. They claim they never had to pull a permit for a generator before. We even sent them the information for our city on the requirements - very minimal- for a permit. They don’t know how to pull permits. So if you have a small job, go ahead and use them but don’t call them if you have a job that requires a permit.
