Blodgett's Abbey Carpet & Flooring

We started researching online trying to figure out what to look for, and then went to Home Depot. We were underwhelmed at the variety & options at Home Depot and it was challenging to get any knowledgeable help there. Based on the Angie's List reviews, we decided to try Blodgett's. It only took us about 10 minutes to agree we were getting our carpet from them. From the friendly reception and expert help we got when we were choosing our carpet, to the feeling like we were getting a good quality product for not all that much more than we would have spent at Home Depot. We chose an upgraded carpet pad (and it's super soft and comfortable), and two levels of the carpet, a nicer one for the frequently used living room, and a notch down for the office - but of the same carpet line and same color. We scheduled the installation for a week later (super fast!), and the guys arrived on time, and carefully moved the furniture, vacuumed, and installed the carpet beautifully. We are so pleased with the job!

Their arrival was prompt and all business was handled very professionally. The day that they were to install the rugs they removed our old rug which they later hauled away and they did a great job of laying the rug. Overall, |they were not only extremely professional but also excellent at their job.

In addition to flooring, they also sell window treatments. They are extremely knowledgeable, and customer service oriented. It's a family business, and the owner is a trained architect. They are professional, accurate, and very high quality. From the owner, to the installers, everyone was top notch, top quality, competent, and professional. I would absolutely use Blodgett's Abbey again.

Without a hitch. All appointments were made and kept on time, custom order was tracked and I was given progress updates. Installation was done promptly upon their receipt of the product, within about 3 hours time for both custom treatments, including taking down and away all existing window treatment components and detritus.

I just bought a co-op in Walnut Creek and Blodgett's installed carpet in my entire 2-bedroom place. Their quote, while not the very lowest, was reasonable for the quality carpet I wanted and their customer service and installation were superb! I needed the installation to be on a specific schedule deadline due to a move in date that could not be adjusted and they worked with the manufacturer in order to expedite the product and meet the time contraint. Larry Blodgett, the principal, is also an architect, so his advice and input is both balanced and extremely educated. His sage advice led me to test color decisions to insure that I made the choice that would completely meet my expectations BEFORE a final decision was made. He also even alerted me to a rebate that they would facilitate from the manufacturer! His entire team was friendly, professional and efficient, so much so that I am now having them install shutters on my windows as well. Both my thumbs are way UP!!

THE MAN WHO CAME TO WORK WAS COURTEOUS AND NEAT. HE CLEANED UP ALL THE LITTLE SCRAPS FROM THE PADDING AND ROLLED UP MY CARPET. HE WORKED DILIGENTLY AND WASTED NO TIME.
