Stanley Plumbing and Tankless Water Heaters

In a word, excellent. Our Noritz tankless water heater stopped heating, plus we had gone 9 years without a descaling, so we had 2 tasks. I selected Stanley Plumbing because their website prominently indicated they do tankless water heaters, and are also specifically mentioned they are a Noritz installer. Don Stanley came out promptly. He cautioned me that if an old water heater that has never been descaled, and you have hard water (we do), sometimes descaling can essentially unplug an existing a leak. In other words, sometimes a tiny hole is actually plugged by the scale. I agreed and he went to work. First he fixed the "not heating" problem ? the ignitor was corroded, so he replaced it. Then, he descaled the water heater, and it did spring a small leak. Fortunately, he noticed our water heater was still under the Noritz factory warranty. He called Noriz, and they rushed out the parts the next day. (We are fairly close to the warehouse.) The parts were free under warranty, though labor was not, but his rate was reasonable. Don returned to replace the leaking heat exchanger. When he removed the old one, it was obvious there had been a slow leak for a long time ? there was a stream of corrosion running inside, right down on to the ignitor, which is why the old igniter failed in the first place. Both Stanley Plumbing and Noritz have my full endorsement. Don Stanley for his good service and reasonable prices, and Noritz for standing behind their very good product. When someday my water heater finally dies, many years from now, I expect to call Stanley Plumbing and asking them to install a new Nortiz.

Don was on time, friendly and easy to work with. He got the descale underway on our tankless which took about an hour and then checked out our layout as to where we should put the water softener. He spoke to me about the water heater scale protection device, a water softener system, and offered some suggestions about how we could save more water. We will definitely be hiring him to do this work within the next 1-2 weeks. It's nice to find someone who is knowledgable and very easy to deal with. Definitely recommend!

Don did a great job replacing my older tankless water heater that was installed improperly by another contractor years ago. I also wanted a water softener and the installation was almost seamless. He was punctual and knows his craft very well. I would highly recommend Don to anyone looking for a professional plumber who is courteous and clean.

I was most impressed with my Stanley Plumbing experience. On the appointed date and time, a water heater delivery truck arrived at my house with a top quality commercial water heater and Don Stanley and a helper arrived as the driver got out of the truck. He first installed the water heater and put new earthquake straps that met current code on the water heater. The installation was very clean and very professional with no mess made with the process. The toilet replacement was originally contemplated to be a Flulshmate unit replacement on a Gerber toilet purchased some years ago that had started leaking. During his installation, he noted that the leakage was due to a crack in the tank that was likely the result of the original installation being directly up against the wall and putting pressure on the tank portion of the toilet over a period of time. He then went to a local Lowe's and purchased a new high volume flush capacity toilet to replace the damaged Gerber model. He returned and had the toilet replacement completed in very short order and also went through the other toilets and made adjustments and replaced the flapper on one of them, resulting in that toilet operating the best I can ever recall since buying our home. Very professional and I and my wife had a very high level of confidence and satisfaction with his services and value for same. I would recommend Don Stanley with the highest possible rating for any plumbing services needs and he is a real class act in the world of contractors. Chuck Buquet

Old homes were his expertise so he had no issues with our pipes. He also answered many questions I had over the phone. He was on time, everything. He was very nice to work with and trouble free!

Mr. Stanley arrived on time, he was very professional, began work right away. It took him around 7-8 hours to complete the job. He worked straight through. He answered all of my questions in a courteous manner. His work was clean, he moved things out of the way, moved them back when he was done. Cleaned up after himself. After the installation was done, he explained how the system worked, gave me information on several options for accessories. He let me know to call him with any questions I may have in the future. Overall it was a very progressional service. I am glad I chose this provider.

Okay i guess, probably my fault I was expecting a more thorough inspection. Turns out it was an opportunity to make a sales pitch more than anything.

Don, the business owner, is a most competent and likeable guy. |Works out of smart-looking and clean van. Considerate in going through the house, as well as when placing and winding up the tank-drain hose in the yard. (Wanted to ensure he didn't damage any flowers in the process.) Wiped his feet on the way back in the house afterwards even though the yard wasn't wet/muddy. Don preformed a plumbing evaluation and also quoted me a price for tankless water heater and water softner which was the most reasonable offer i have received thus far. Don answered all of my questions regarding warranty, longevity, and maintenance required of the tankless water heater as well as the installation process. And never tried to up sell which i appreciated.

They did a thorough inspection of our plumbing. The faucet in our water heater broke when they emptied it. But they fixed it. They made good recommendations for a tankless water heater and water softener.

He flushed two water heater tanks. While he did this he adjusted my heater pump |which then affected my hot water in the house. He did return and increased the heater dial but my water pump is not as efficient as it was before he flushed out my tank.

Don arrived on time, and was very pleasant and professional. He showed me what he was doing and what I could do in the future to maintain the heater. His quote was almost one third of what another A-rated company had quoted me - plumbers seem to pluck numbers out of the air sometimes! Another company I was very happy with during a previous service call quoted me more than twice Don's price. So much of it just seems to be mark-up. I was very happy with Don's work and I would hire him again.

Nice clean job. Great communication. Really wanted installed further up on outside wall to be out of site. But will live with it.

We have 3 kids, after filling the bathtub once, we would be out of hot water for ½ an hour. We called Stanley Plumbing and a couple others to get an idea what a tankless water heater would cost. I was a little worried that it would be out of our budget because I had heard it?s a lot of work to convert to a tankless from a regular water heater. Stanley Plumbing was the only company that would give us a ball park price over the phone. Don explained the whole process of what was involved, how long it would take and how much it would cost. He did tell us they would need to look at the job site before giving a written contract price but I felt a lot better knowing about what it would cost. The next day Don Stanley, the owner came to the house to confirm the details of the installation. His ?ball park? price over the phone was exactly what the written contract price ended up being. We went ahead with the installation. The new tankless water heater is about the size of a small suit case. Stanley Plumbing was able to install the unit inside a cabinet in the garage about 20 feet away from where the old water heater was. It was a big job but Stanley plumbing made it seem simple. We are very happy with the water heater. We never run out of hot water and you can actually fill the tub and use the shower at the same time! It is exactly what was advertised, a great product. As for the service we were very impressed, Stanley Plumbing was professional, exactly on time, very courteous, did very clean work and took all the trash and the old water heater. The garage was actually left cleaner than it was before they started. The water was turned off for about 3 hours and the whole job was complete in about 7 hours. We also received from Stanley plumbing, our gas company rebate form worth $200.00 and the instructions to claim our federal tax credit. I would highly recommend Stanley Plumbing for water heaters or what ever plumbing someone might need. Thanks for a great job!

We were originally referred to Stanley Plumbing by a friend who had used them when they did their room addition. We decided to shop around for prices so we ended up getting 3 bids to do the work. Of the 3 plumbing companies Stanley plumbing spent far more time explaining how the tankless water heater worked and the process to move the water heater to the new location. After coming to the house and looking at the installation site we were given a detailed proposal to do the work. We were pleased that there were no changes or extras to the price once it was all done. The installation went very well we were told it would be done in one day and that we would not be left without hot water overnight, which we were not. Stanley Plumbing made what we felt was a pretty big job, (especially to do in 1 day), seem simple. The old pipes in the laundry room were capped off, the old water heater location was cleaned up and the old tank was hauled away. The new installation is very clean the tankless water heater is tucked away in the corner of the garage and takes up almost no space at all. We were very happy with the professionalism, the workmanship, punctuality and the courteous attitude we received from Stanley Plumbing. We would highly recommend!
