Barnett's A/C

Description of Work: Technician arrived and quickly diagnosed the issue with my air conditioner.

Description of Work: Had a problem with my HVAC system. Scott Barnett, the company owner, just happened to be in my condo complex repairing another tenant's HVAC. Scott quickly diagnosed the problem with my HVAC and provided me options as to repair the heating side or to just use space heaters until the A/C side gave out, thus buying me some time before having to decide what course of action to take. NO pressure to either repair or replace. He provided me with a "ballpark" figure as to replacement of the unit which sounds reasonable. I did ask him for a "firm" estimate which he will provide in the future. Scott took the time to show me the problem with the heating side. Even demonstrated by "hot wiring" the control box to further show me what the problem was. All this was done in the dark on the roof of my condo ! Update January 2013: I accepted Scott's bid to replace the HVAC/Heat unit (combo). This was a rooftop installation which required a crane to remove old equipment and place the new unit. His price was $4200 which was the lowest of the three bids I received. Installation went flawlessly.
