endr bulb over it, the inside bulb may or may not workI have already listed the Ferguson Co. in Wausau as a appliance and lighting company with which I recommend against dealing. We bought high priced designer kitchen lighting through them manufactured by ET2 Contemporary Lighting which I understand is closely associated with MAXIM, as they both have the same address and telephone numbers. I bought their product E20114-81 | Starburst 7-Light Pendant and had it installed as part of a full kitchen remodeling effort by a professional electrician. There are seven light bulbs in the pendant, and we have been unable to get them all to stay lit at the same time. The design of the sockets is a bad design in my opinion, as the bulbs will only light when babied into a position they like, and then when you put the covering bulb over the halogen bulb, it may or may not stay lit. Something is gravely wrong in the design. The mistake I made, a huge mistake, is that I failed to call the problem to Ferguson's attention before my one year warranty ran out. So I take a big hit there. Once I did call it in to them, the best deal they could come up with was for me to buy a new set, they would take the old set and send it back, and someone would then reimburse me, I believe Fergusons. I refused this deal because I did not have the money any more to buy another set, I had no confidence in the design of the set, and therefore refused to buy another set on the hope that I would be reimbursed. I called ET2 Contemporary Lighting directly, customer service, and their representative just blew me off and said there as nothing the company could do. In short, it would not stand by its product. In today's economy, I do not see how a company can afford to treat customers this way. I am so angry that I intend to hire an electrician to remove the light, I will put it in a box, smash everything with a hammer, and mail it back to the company with my love. In the meantime, I recommend your going a less exclusive and high brow route to buy nice lighting for your kitchen. I have seen Home depot and Menards carry wonderful stuff that I know will work. Oh yes, try to avoid halogen at all costs. It's awful stuff to work with and I find it undependable. Argh!
