Ben showed up on time. Had to spend some time cleaning out the ice clogs in the freezer and ice maker. Fixed up the problem, gave us a very fair price ($200) to replace the front door control panel that was irreparably damaged because of the ice maker leaks. We decided to forgo the control panel replacement. The ice maker been working fine since. Thanks Ben.

Ben was scheduled for 1pm, but was an hour late. That was the only negative. Immediately diagnosed the problem, valve coils failed. What's that? A part on the dryer burner that's needed to operate the flow of gas. Fixed it in 15min, he already had the part on hand. Has been working fine since.

Our neighborhood experienced several power outages in one week, I noticed a puddle of water in front of my side by side refrigerator, then no cold air coming from the freezer. After a couple of days with no cold air both freezer and refrigerator, called Amar Appliances based on Angie's list references. Ben came out promptly as promised. He was polite and ascertained that the electrical outage shorted the wiring as well as the starter relay. He took about an hour but the fridge is back to normal for a very fair price. He quoted $20 to come out for the visit (but that maybe because he wasn't too far from my home) but my experience has been $50. Would highly recommend and definitely use again.

GE refrigerator temperature control display does not work and food in fresh food section freezes. I think it is the motherboard. I replace it and it doesn't solve the problem. So I call Amar Appliance. Owner comes out the next day and replaces the temperature control display with a simpler model and ask us to monitor the fresh food section temperature. After letting the temperature to stablize, the display shows 60 deg F and the food still freezes. So I call to ask him to come back. He comes the next day and spend two hours de-icing the evaporator but warns that the temperature sensor may be bad. So he leaves a spare temperature sensor and he does not charge for the visit or the sensor. It turns out the sensor is bad and I replace the sensor and the refrigerator is now working fine.

Excellent service, arrived in a superfast time frame, found the problem which was a burnt out wire, left and came back with a new part and fixed it very quickly. Works great, I would definetly use his company again, very professional and courteous, extremly fast same day service, I was very happy with this company and recommend them to everyone.

I was amazed to get a same-day appointment. He arrived soon after the appointed time, was very pleasant and explained everything about the repair. He had the necessary part with him and completed the job in about an hour. I would definitely use him again and refer him to others.

Called him on a Saturday morning after discovering our GE refrigerator freezer wasn't working. I tried calling Sears and a few other places on Angies List, but no one was available for the weekend. Called Amar Appliance and within the hour, they were here. He was able to diagnose the problem, provide a low and high estimate, and finish the work within two hours. I'd definitely use them again.

My old dryer stopped heating, so I looked for someone doing large appliance repair. He guessed from what I said what the problem was. He said he'd be there in 2 hours and he came in 90 minutes. He tested the ignitor to verify his suspicion and then removed it. He got the part from his truck and installed it. He seemed to be very familiar with the machine. I couldn't have asked for a better repair experience.

As I was washing clothes on the Friday before Labor Day weekend I noticed water on the floor after the machine completed its cycle. I called Amar Appliance and they said they would be out in 20 minutes. Ben showed up at that time, took apart the machine and told me about the leaky valve. He replaced it and was on his way within an hour and a half of our calling. Machine works fine now.

Washing machine stopped working, grinding sound. Amar's repairman came out and knew the problem from the sound. He got the needed part from his truck, and 30 minutes later it was fixed.

After some reassuring remarks over the phone Ben suggested a time to look at it later in the morning. He arrived right on time and quickly assessed the problem. His manner was friendly, informative and helpful. The work was performed and came with a two-month guarantee. He gave a senior discount.
