Phillip is the owner. His worker Eric was was great to work with when he came to our house to troubleshoot and order the parts needed. A couple of weeks later my wife and I were going to a Doctor's appt and as we were pulling out of our driveway Phillips Maytag truck pulls up. It was Phillip himself and not his worker. I asked whats going on and he said " I have the part and am here to change it ". I told him we were on our way out and that someone should have called. He said " I was in the area and one of the girls called you ". I told him that never happened. I told him that they should call back and schedule an appt. This man has a real attitude problem and is not careful. My wife noticed his terrible attitude problem also and mentioned it to me. I subsequently called their office to complain and that is when I found out that all the employees are family and relatives. I then called the Warranty people that I had, to tell them that I don't want Phillips Maytag to come to my house again and want someone different. Since I did not allow him in my house that day, and the fact that he showed up unannounced, he called my Warranty people and told them there was nothing wrong with the part. Consequently, they would not cover the part ( over 200.00 ) He hadn't even seen it. I tried to deal with the warranty people but they still wouldn't consider it because of what he had told them. I cancelled the warranty contract and got part of my premium back. I have since had it fixed by someone else.
Description of Work: Came to replace a touch control circuit board on our kitchenaid oven and microwave combo unit.

I am not really happy with them. I had my refrigerator insured. They came out to fix the icemaker, but now other things don't work. The ice machine had fallen apart and it is damaged now. I paid for the insurance coverage. I don't know if the problem was with the appliance or the people who worked on it. They can certainly improve by getting back in touch with me to let me know whether they either have the approval for the repair or not. At times, they have been lacking to keep in touch with me. I don't expect that thing every day or even every five days. It has gone on for three weeks since the time I have called them about this. I can't use my icemaker and the water thing is not right. The lights don't go on. He fixed the one thing that he said he did and everything else stopped working completely after that. They need to do more about their public relation things than they do now. The charge I paid for the insurance was inexpensive and the insurance company needs to get better service people. It has been extremely frustrating. They haven't fixed it right. Once they had set the appointment and it was fine. The guy came out on the time he said. I thought the guy didn't know what he was doing. It is just a mess, so I need to see what happens. It is certainly something that I can't fix because the whole front panel needs to be redone. All I am expecting is a call from them about what is happening. I contacted them two weeks ago. I think they are still waiting to get an approval from the insurance. I am waiting to hear from them.
Description of Work: Phillip's Maytag came out to fix my icemaker in the refrigerator about a month and half ago.

WE HAVE PURCHASED A FEW APPLIANCES HERE AND THE PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN COURTEOUS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE SERVICE IS SOLID. THEY DO A GOOD JOB ON APPLIANCE REPAIRS AS WELL.
