Henry's Professional Painting

We were very pleased with Henry and his team. Annie who does the scheduling was really great, we phoned on a Thursday and were able to have the job done the following Tuesday. Henry and Javier were on time and Javier stayed the whole day to do the painting. He was very courteous, did a great job, and left everything clean and tidy. There were a few minor touch-ups that I phoned about that evening and Henry came out the next day and took care of it. The overall quality was fantastic, the price was great, and we are very satisfied with the outcome. Would definitely recommend to others and would use Henry's Professional Painting again in the future.

PROFESSIONAL! from the initial contact/estimate to completion. Provided copies of insurance and license without prompting. Explained what needed to be done, materials to be used, time involved and costs. No hard sell, no "wheeling and dealing". We had a delay due to the rain and the office person "Annie" kept in touch with updated scheduling and worked easily around my busy schedule. Peter did the actual painting. Was a hard worker, always on time, tidy, respectful, kept me updated and did a few little "extras" for problems he found while painting near the roof. What a breath of fresh air! Customer Service should be part of their name, too....

First Henry matched the stain color of the cabinets absolutely perfectly. The varnish and stain had been completely worn off down to bare wood in areas in front of the sinks in both rooms, as well as around many of the cabinet knobs and drawer pulls. We should have had the repainting done several years ago but have had other priorities. Henry's painters, George and his associate, sanded all these damaged areas and then re-stained them. It is difficult to get stain to sink in under these circumstances. Sometimes, at my request, they had to apply the stain three times where knobs had been located (allowing drying time between) to get the color depth to match, but they cheerfully did this and achieved wonderful results. Then all the cabinets and drawers were varnished with two coats of semigloss varnish. They look absolutely beautiful! I can't believe the difference! All the metal furniture was placed on tarps on our asphalt driveway and spray painted there. Inspecting it, I didn't see any missed spots and it looks practically new. George had covered everything under and around it with tarps to keep paint from getting on anything that it shouldn't. The crew then cleaned up perfectly. This is the third time we have hired Henry to paint for us and couldn't be more pleased.

We hired Henry's Pro Painting to paint the exterior of a rental house last year, and he did such a great job on that project that we asked him to bid on painting our home. The house has extended eaves with 3 ft overhang around the entire structure, a large number of mullioned wood windows, 8 pairs of french doors, a covered entryway and a slat-covered rear patio. There was some termite damage on several large beams that had been (poorly) repaired some years ago and needed to be cleaned out and refilled prior to painting. A few slats on the patio cover had been damaged by wood fungus and needed to be replaced. Henry's offer to do the job was comprehensive, including all the repairs, and the price was fair, considering the proven quality of his work.We were not disappointed. Henry worked closely with us to select a great color scheme for the stucco, exposed wood and the window/door trim, The work was completed right on schedule, and the workmanship throughout was excellent. We are delighted with the finished product and pleased to give Henry's Professional Painting our highest recommendation.

Henry took time to let us explain what we wanted painted. They completed the job when they said they would. After completing the job, they called back to see if the work met our expectations. They came back to do any touch ups that we needed. .

Henry helped me in picking my colors and recommended a great color for my front door. The crew was fantastic from prep work to cleaning up. They were hard workers and finished in two days. The job they did was fantastic and I have had many compliments on the work they did.

Our good-sized family room, described above, was very dark and outdated. I had researched the internet for photos of painted paneling and found several that I liked very much with beige walls and white ceiling and trim. I received 3 estimates and chose Henry to perform the work. Although his estimate was more, he addressed all my concerns regarding the final look I wanted. I did not want the knots to be noticeable or have black lines between the grooves and trim. I did not feel the other estimators appreciated how much work would be involved. Henry even painted a spare board of the paneling to show me what the final result would be. I could not be happier with Henry's services and the final result. His crew members were gentlemanly, timely, accommodating, and extremely neat. Professional is the most accurate description of these services as well as the results. Everyone is amazed at the new look and several have commented that they could really tell is was done by a professional!

Everything was done in a professional and courteous manner. Project took four days, plus powerwash. Henry stopped by before starting the project to match color of wooden house ceiling to the underside of the wooden eaves. The only snag was the front door not drying very fast. Clean up was carefully done.

The office staff Annie and Wendy are very helpful and responsive, the best!. Henry showed up at the start of the day which I really appreciated, he introduced his workers and we went over the job. Before Henry left he told me Javier was in charge. Javier told me to talk to him and he would talk to the other workers, who I presume don't speak english because they only spoke spanish to each other. I had a few hiccups with Javier for instance when I asked him to fix spots on the walls that needed texture and he told me he did not have texture and I said, oh, well Henry said these would be textured, but I have some so I went and got it. Then he said climb up there (pointed to the ladder) and do it yourself. I was really shocked and told him I could not becuase I have hip problems and that would really hurt. I was just floored that he had said that to me, but then he took over and did the texture. I went into the other room and he must of sensed that I was not happy because he came in and said, don't worry it will look good when we are all done. I do this all the time and I know you've had bad experiences but it will look good that's why we have such a high rating we won't leave until you are happy. I said OK..then at the end of the day when they had packed everything up, he asked me to look for anything that needed to be done and be very picky. I asked what if I find something later what do I do (other companies offer free touch-ups) he said nothing. I asked him three times before he said, you will have to take care of it, I was dissapointed to hear that. I found a few minor spots and one spot where there had been anchor bolts that was patched by them. I pointed it out and said it looked like eyeballs in the wall, again, the texture issue came up and he gave me push back then said he could texture it but I would have to do the touch up myself becuase the texture had to dry. I was not happy to hear that but said, OK I guess my son can do that for me. Then I had to go out into the garage because I can't be around the texture, a short time later he came out to the garage and asked me if I had a blow dryer, so he could dry the texture and paint it for me. I was very happy about that! The finished product was fine (not excellent) and they did not clean up very well, left dried paint drops on my floors, front porch and front yard with messes, not huge, but sloppy clean-up. Paint on some surfaces, like my front door jam and air intake. I already found some paint chipping around the fireplace and when I hung a paiting, and the frame touched the wall the paint came off. I don't know how that could happen when they put on two coats, it is a bit dissapointing. I would use them again but will change my expectationsd better service in my house given their rating. I met with Henry twice, first to evaluate the job for a quote and then to provide assistance with color selections. This is a rental property that I own and it is about an hour's drive from my home. Henry's wife, Annie, handles the schedule and was most responsive in arranging meetings at the property. Henry provided helpful advice about the work and prepared two quotes for me with different options. The wood trim on the south-facing front side of the house required extra preparation due to weathering, and it now looks like new. The rotten window shelf was completely rebuilt in a very solid manner. Henry and his crew did a superb job in all respects, including careful attention to protecting the plants and thorough cleanup after the painting was completed. Everything was finished according to the original schedule. Considering the high quality of the work, the price was very fair. I couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend Henry's Professional Painting!

It went very well. They were great. They did a terrific job. We have a small arch shed that was constructed in the backyard and they did all the trim and all the painting on that. He brought his crew in and did it in 2 days. We are really, really happy with not only the quality of their work but the affability and knowledge of the people who came out to work. They are a lot less expensive than a lot of other people that are out there, but they do a really fine job.

It went very well. a week before the stucco and paint job, his prep guy came around and power washed the house. He showed up a little late because of an equipment failure, so to make up for it, he also power washed our gutters and the cobwebs that were on the wood trim which was not part of the job. His helper, Annie emailed me and told me exactly where they buy the paint, so we could go over to Dunn Edwards paint and select colors. We were able to go over there and match colors on their computer. We were kept informed throughout the entire job. Henry's guys showed up on time and repaired the stucco in a very professional manner and applied the first coat of paint, all in the first day. The second day, they finished the second coat in half a day. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess. We did the walk around and were extremely satisfied. a week later we received a gift package and a card from Henry and his staff. A real professional company, over all.

They came and water blasted the house a couple of days prior to the start. Henry helped us with the color choices, and used high quality paint. He added some waterproof to it so the paint will last longer. His crew worked clean, everyday they'd clean up before leaving. Any time I had a concern, they addressed it. I'll be calling them to do the interior once I'm ready!

Very professional and the work was outstanding. Henry's crew knew what they were doing and did an excellent job. Would recommend them to anyone. They also do interior painting, but I have not used them for this YET!

Over the years we have had our home painted a few times. By far, Henry's Professional Painting, has done the best job. The work was done in a timely way by courteous, contentious painters. Any parts of the stucco or areas of wood that needed to be repaired were taken care of. Paint that was cut in by hand around my windows was immaculate! The painters were clean and took great care to insure paint was fully applied, giving more than 1 coat when necessary. I could not be more pleased. Our home looks great!

Excellent, paint colors had to match but they did it perfectly. The work was done when scheduled, fast, efficient, and very professional. Highly recommend and plan to use them in future when other areas will need painting. Thank you for an excellent job.

Henry and his team are outstanding. Henry arrived on time to give me a free estimate for painting the exterior of our home (not including stucco which was in excellent condition). He promptly submitted a bid for the work to be performed. Of the three bids I received, I choose Henry?s mainly due to the favorable comments on Angie?s List. I was not disappointed. Henry and his crew arrived on time and completed the work in two days. I was especially impressed with the quality of the prep work his crew did on day 1. I have lived in my home for 27 years and it has been painted four times. Henry?s crew did a much better job in caulking the open joints in fascia, casings, and sanding loose peeling paint. As a result once our house was repainted it looked outstanding. Henry?s crew also did an excellent job in replacing some front siding corner trim, corner fascia, and eave boards that had wood rot. In summation you can?t go wrong with Henry and his crew. They are all very professional, and easy to work with.

The entire job went perfectly from start to finish. They started and finished on schedule. The price was reasonable and what we expected. Prior to the start of our job, there was some rain and we were concerned that the start date would slip. They kept us up to date on the scheduled start date. The crew was polite and very responsive to all of our questions. Even though there were three painters at our home every day, we hardly even knew they were there. The communication was excellent. Every question we had was answered promptly. On Saturday we noticed something on the house and we sent them an email. Our questioned was answered that same day. On the last day, Henry came out and walked around the house with us. All of our concerns were promptly addressed. A few days after the job was completed, we noticed a small area that needed paint. Henry came out and took care of it immediately. The entire process was done in a very professional and caring manner. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. When the time comes to do the interior of our home, Henry's will be the first contractor we call. We would recommend Henry's without hesitation.

The project was as seamless and painless as a condo project can be. Our building is actually three townhomes. We needed to paint the stucco, plus front doors, several French doors, and lots of wood trim. The condo had been painted about 15 years earlier with a pink "never paint again" product and it was blistering and peeling, especially near the lawns and flowerbeds. In addition to stucco, we had 2 white pergolas that were peeling and flaking. They looked so bad we wondered if they'd need replaced. And we had 4 green awnings that were troublesome, because they stuck out at weird angles. Henry explained masking them would be very difficult. Henry came over on a Saturday morning and met with the 3 owners to discuss timing, price, special requests, such as removing lattice. He walked around the entire building and went onto each owner's balconies and roof deck. Owners had been debating colors we'd seen on homes in the area. We wanted something offwhite, with a dark brown trim. He drove out to each property and matched those colors and then provided large cardboard samples for us to discuss and decide. Instead of masking the awnings, he suggested painting them. After some logistics hiccups (ours, not Henry's), we picked a start date knowing the project would take 2 full weeks. We had a dedicated team of 3 great guys. They were extremely respectful of the property, the plants, and our special requests. They covered all the surfaces, including windows, walkways, and even the carport floor. The building is 3 stories tall and has lots of nooks and crannies, but the team was determined and thorough. Incidentally, painting the awnings was a great suggestion! It actually rained after they finished; we're so relieved to see water beading on the paint. Almost daily a neighbor stops by to tell us how great the place looks!

They did a wonderful job from beginning to end. There were no glitches or problems and they did and excellent job. The house looks beatiful. We live in a 1927 craftsman home with many fine details. They met all my requests for color and painted all the detail work beautifully. They also stuccoed the foundation of our home which was cracking but just needed repair work. The workers were pleasant and reliable. i would use them again and recommend them to others.

Simply the best contractor that I have had to deal with in my life; that includes painters, plumbers, electricians, flooring contractors, landscape contractors just to mention a few. Now the details. I identified Henry's Professional Painting on Angie's List as a highly rated painting contractor and gave them a call. Within a few hours I received a return call from Henry and we set up a date and time for him to take a look at the work that I needed. Henry arrived precisely on time and I was quickly impressed with his professional approach and demeanor. Following his visit to my house he mailed and emailed an estimate for the work. Along with Henry's offer I also got several other estimates which were comparable in price. But because of Henry's high rating and my impression of Henry I decided to ask him to do the work. The first order of business was to power wash the patio covers to remove the peeling paint. Henry sent a wonderful employee and person to do the work. The gentleman arrived at the planned time and began his work. He was expert at his job and very respectful of protecting the adjacent areas from the flying chips of paint. The painters arrived two days later in order to give the wood ample time to dry. Henry's team of himself and three painters again arrived at the exact time that Henry said they would. They then spent several hours preparing the areas to be painted and repaired. The inside repairs were done with impressive results. The work involved cleaning the damaged area, then taping the dry wall ceiling, applying joint compound, sanding, adding texture and then repainting. The trick in doing this was to match the color of the surrounding ceiling. Henry did this himself with excellent results. The finished job is outstanding! While this work was proceeding two of the other workers were preparing the patio covers for painting. All adjacent areas were protected with painters cloth and taping. They then went to work searching for and removing any remaining peeling paint, then applying a protective primer to the patio covers. They then spray and hand painted the patio covers with two coats of paint. The results were again superb. Following the painting, the workers cleaned the area a final time and replaced all of the furniture and plants in their original locations. Again, I can't say how impressed I was with Henry and his team, including Annie who expertly coordinated everything from their office. They also did not accept payment until I was completely satisfied with their work. Amazing professionals!
