Henry's Professional Painting

Overall, the job went very well. The project took 3-1/2 days with a crew of 3 to 4 each day. They arrived promptly at 8AM, worked diligently throughout the day and cleaned up and safely stored away all painting materials in our garage. They covered and/or moved our furniture as needed with great care. Each member of the crew was knowledgable and experienced and took pride in their work. Anything amiss, or missed was quickly addressed to our satisfaction. Needless to say, we were very happy when all was said and done. We feel like we have a brand new home. Many thanks to Henry, Curtis, Kyle, Joshua and Miguel!

Henry sent a large information packet before he came out for an estimate. The report was thorough and enthusiastic and had numbers of references, all of his license information, and a company history. Henry showed up on time for the estimate and was very friendly and likable. After reviewing 6 other painters, we chose him, even though his price was higher than 2 other painters. He came out to the house twice to help us choose colors and even on the day they started the job, he continued to tweak the color until it was just perfect. Henry introduced all of his workers and I felt very comfortable having them on my property. They worked very carefully and left the job site clean each evening. When the painters finished painting the house, we did a walk-through and they corrected some really minor imperfections quickly and with a smile. Henry and his wife Wendy were great to work with. The relationship became more than contractor and client, I felt as though we made friends. I will definitely recommend Henry's Painting to all of my friends.

I researched Angie's List to get a second bid on the job, since the first one was fairly expensive (nearly $3000). Henry came precisely on time, provided references and looked over the job. I received a bid a few days later, with all details spelled out, and was very pleased with the price. Henry matched the paint color I wanted on the fascia as well as the wood stain I wanted on the underside of the eaves. His crew did the job in one day with no spills onto my new stucco. My neighbor (who was watching with interest-- I was not home at the time) said the crew of 5 were very professional.

Henry responded promptly to my request for an estimate and personally performed the estimate. He said the job would take 2 days and he had an opening in about a month, which was fine with me. He called a couple of days later and said he had some time available in the next few days because a job was delayed. The job took 2 days and on both days the crew came on time and provided a professional job.

I got estimates from several companies, and Henry's was the lowest. Plus, Henry's was one of the few companies that would even agree to paint our mansard wood shake shingle siding. This made me a little nervous, until I read all the reports, checked all the permits and insurance, and then after you meet Henry you just know he is an upstanding guy. His wife works in the office and was so helpful, and his son does his power washing for him. His son, Sean, did a wonderful job on power washing those shingles....did not lose one of them! Plus, we had a few missing, and Henry put them back up prior to painting. We were making ourselves crazy with color choices, but Henry just said...find what you like, and Dunn Edwards will match it exactly....and they sure did! The colors are exactly what we envisioned on our building! They got here every day at 0730, and wrapped up every afternoon around 5. The first day they did the shingles, and Henry brought out a couple of extra guys. After that, it was a crew of 6....they started on Monday, and were done by noon on Friday. We even changed our mind on the trellis colors (from terracotta to the cream trim), and it was no problem at all. All of his crew were extremely professional, accomodating, helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure having them in our homes. And then on the last day, they cleaned and swept everything...like Henry said, it looks better than when they started! We decided to have a couple of other things painted (another fence and trellis), and they will be scheduling that in the next couple of weeks. Our building is 40 years old, and we never thought it would look this good, but now it is the best looking building on the block!

An excellent experience. It was time to repaint the wood trim and fascia of the house and fix a little damage to the fascia. One of my greatest concerns was who would do the surface preparation properly so that the paint would last. The reviews and ratings in Angie's list for Henry's were impressive and I decided to give him a call. When he arrived he gave me a helpful folder of information on his company. As we discussed everything that needed to be done, I got a strong sense that Henry was concerned with quality. His licensing, insurance, and bonding were all up to date and I decided to have him do the work. His crew was punctual, well prepared and well outfitted. Henry was involved through the entire project and he and his crew were thorough, careful, and courteous. Henry even went a little ?above and beyond? by helping prevent further fascia damage in an area that gets heavy water runoff. I was very happy with the overall result. If I would be just a little bit picky: there were a few edges next to prepped areas that could have been smoothed or ?feathered? better as had been done everywhere else. This was very small, though, in the context of the entire job. The true test of course is how well the paint will hold up over time. From the way this entire job was done, I expect it to last a long time. I?d call Henry when it comes time to paint again.

We had our porch and fence painted 18 months ago by a different service. This job began to peel at about 6 months it was so poorly done. When Henry came to estimate our job, I expressed my concerns and expectations for the work based on my previous experience. Henry offered suggestions and insight to address the issues with the poor paint job. He walked me through the steps of their process so I knew exactly what to expect (not the case with our previous paint contractor). My first impression was that Henry was not a painter, he was a craftsman and was passionate about his trade. My first impression was right. Henry and his crew showed up at 8AM every day, were neat, courteous, extremely professional. My landscape is fairly new and fragile and they were very careful not to damage the plants. Everything Henry said we could expect happened. We were concerned we had water damage on the door and the eaves and would have to replace wood but Henry found none and restored, patched and painted until it all looked like new. We told him we were planning to restucco. He evaluated our stucco and said he could patch and repair it and save $$$. We hired him to come back and do this and saved over $1000. Best of all, by painting, we were able to choose any color we wanted. The house looks completely new and many of our neighbors have remarked on how dramatic and stunning the change was. With the change in house color, our landscape looks dramatically different even though we didn't change a thing in the landscape. Henry has increased the value of our home with his attention to detail and careful consideration in his craft. We would hire Henry again and again and would recommend him highly.

I had used Henry's painting before and as expected, Henry was complete, neat, prompt and thorough. The walls were in bad condition but after Henry had finished, they looked like a model home's walls! I also had him paint the entire garage and put epoxy/speckles on the garage floor! I received numerous compliments from neighbors as they visited my home during open houses.

Wonderful. Showed up on time, had a great crew, no paint splatters anywhere after they were done; a rare experience for us. And when one color turned out to be a lot different than we expected, he changed the paint color to exactly what I had in mind. Only thing not done was our deck because we haven't replaced the bad boards yet, but we will be scheduling him to come back and do that.

Henry Einhorn brought a file folder with copies of documents to establish the company?s contractor license, workman?s compensation insurance, and bonding along with a lot of information related to references from other customers on his first visit to my home. I make decisions on the principle of ?trust-but-verify? so I compared his documents to information held by the state contractors licensing board, which confirmed the authenticity of his documents. The written estimate later sent to me included all of the details discussed in the first visit, including areas not to be painted and areas to be matched to the coloof the existing stucco. Also, there was an indication of a possible contingency in the price if my new garage side door were not installed by the time the described work was to be done. No other painting contractor, bidding on this job, provided the insurance and bonding documents, a list of references, or a complete listing of all work to be done and work to be excluded. Two other contractors with good ratings on Angie?s List also bid on this work. One provided only a few descriptive details of the work to be performed while the other competitor provided the overall cost for painting the exterior trim with almost no detail. The three bids received from the Angie?s List contractors were spread only a total of $80 from highest to lowest and I believe that all three were qualified to do the work. But, Henry made the selection process much easier for me because of the written details in his bid and his supporting documents. The painters laid down drop cloths all around the house before applying the first drop of paint. As a result of their care and in spite of their need to work of ladders to paint fascia boards rising to the top of a high roof, they accomplished the work in 1 ? days without dropping paint on the decorative tiles on the front porch or the Mexican pavers on the 300 square foot patio. I plan to hire this company later this year to paint the replacement garage side-entrance door as soon as it?s installed.

If you were to choose Henry's Professional Painting, this could be you! From reading the revues on Angie's List, I knew that this company was highly respected. After contacting the top-rated companies on Angie's List, I discovered why Henry's was, actually, the very highest rated. I received other excellent estimates, but was most impressed with Henry's professionalism. After easily setting up dates through email, Henry came to analyze my painting needs. This first encounter was impressive because I received a packet detailing Henry's services, contacts for previous customers, color charts and other valuable information. For a widow who does not know much about exterior painting, this was very welcome! Henry assured me that he would work with me until I was sure about the colors I wanted. Through email, we discussed colors, homes in the neighborhood which I liked, etc. Henry even went personally to the home which I liked best and brought me a sample of the exact colors. From that, we came to a decision of the tones and shades which would best fit my house. My next problem was what to do with my front porch and walkway. As with most 1960's homes, this area was cracked and badly weathered. Henry told me that he had a solution for this problem and that he would show me pictures to depict his idea. All I had to do was look at the pictures and I was sold! After three years of research, Henry has developed a solution for problem cement areas: porches, sidewalks, patios, pool areas, etc. He has created an affordable, durable method for bringing aged cement to life! Henry, personally, paints a flagstone design onto the cement and dramatically enhances the tired old area. The paint gives a bas relief effect, so much so, that neighbors have walked by and complimented me on my new flagstone rock work. The ultimate result of Henry's Professional Painting on my house is that I have a home which for all purposes, and from every angle, looks brand new!

Henry showed up with two assistants and they did the job with no hitches. The eaves involved a large amount of prep-work with lots of scraping. They cleaned up each day and did a great job. I liked the fact that Henry did the estimate and work.

Our house really should have been painted a couple years ago, so it really needed it. A big reason for my procrastination was my inability to decide on paint colors. Henry helped me with this & made some very useful suggestions. After talking with me and driving around our neighborhood a bit, he recommended and tracked down a particular shade of dark brown for our trim, and put up a sample for me to preview. The 1st day (a 1/2 day, 1 worker), everything was pressure washed. The 2nd day (full day, work crew of 4) the house, door, wall & surrounding area were prepped for painting-taped and/or covered in plastic, stucco repaired, wood trim cracks filled, front doors were sanded, and a little bit of the painting was started. The 3rd day (full day, work crew of 4) was the big painting day. The 4th day (1/2 day, work crew of 4) was finishing the painting, touch-ups and clean-up. My husband and I both were very impressed and pleased with how thoroughly, carefully, and professionally everything was handled. Henry's was not one of the lower-priced bids we received. With this bad economy, we were very tempted to go with one of the low bids, but we'd received such high recommendations from 2 different people & were impressed with Henry personally that we went with him. In the end, I think we got excellent value for our money - an outstanding, quality job that will last for years at a fair price. I do not think any of the "lowball" companies would have taken the time and care that Henry's did.

STOP, LOOK NO FURTHER. Henry's Professional Paining is thee company you want to hire for all of your painting needs. Henry is a true master craftsman and told us in detail of how he would improve the exterior of our home. Henry, his wife and staff are the nicest people to do business with. I would like to hire them back in the future for some interior painting. If you want good quality work and someone to listen to your wants and needs, then you came to the right place. I will continually praise this company and refer them to all friends and family.

The bid was very detailed and the information given helped us make the decision to use Henry's. The painters arrived when they said they would, were professional, cleaned up daily and finished on time with Henry coming back to make sure we were satisfied. We thought the job was so good they are coming back to paint our fence.

Henry was very professional from his initial estimate to completing the job. They actually ended up starting a day early, which was a welcome surprise! The crew was courteous and pleasant and the quality of work was excellent. I will definitely be calling Henry again for future paint work.

The experience was very good. They came when they were called and were here when they said they would be here. They did the job in two days and had four workers that were all very polite and clean. They didn't get a lot of paint spatters all over everything. The job turned out beautifully.

Henry excels at communication, so dealing with him was a pleasure. After the Henry's initial visit for the job estimate, we were provided paint samples for color selection. The house was power washed on one day. On another day, all of the preparation was done (repairing stucco cracks, patching a hole, scraping sun-aged trim, and carefully taping off windows and doors, light fixtures, etc.), as well as all of the painting of the house and trim. We also requested extra pieces of downspout be painted as well, which they did. The crew of 4 or 5 people were speedy and professional, and paid exceptional attention to detail. The finished job looks better than we ever knew it could. The cleanup after the job was flawless. Near the end of the day we decided to ask if they could also paint the double front doors to match the trim color. They sent someone back the first thing in the morning to accommodate this request. It was an outstandingly positive experience.

We were very pleased with Henry's crew. They showed up on time. protected most plants and prepared the stucco and wood for painting (power-washed and then primed the south wall and did a lot of caulking around windows and wood joints). Although Henry's bid was the highest we felt we got what we paid for and appreciated the fact that Henry was at the site most of the time overseeing the job and also did some of the painting. He was also very helpful in helping us decide where to use the trim color and even painted a test area of fascia and window trim in two different colors so we could decide which we liked best. We were very impressed that they painted our wood slat south side three times before Henry was happy with the result (it was very weathered and in need of paint)and it turned out better than we thought it could. We felt the crew was conscientious and very amenable to our requests. It took about three and a half days to paint our two story house, pool equipment enclosure, three exterior doors and two garage doors. We were very happy with the work they did and Henry was very easy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone wanting an excellent overall experience.

Henry and his crew were very professional and did a great job. They showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of everyday. Henry did a great job communicating with us about the scope of the work and the start and end dates. They finished on schedule and offered to come back if we were unhappy at all (we haven't had to call him). The house looks fantastic!

Although his estimate was the highest, I chose him because of testimonials and the fact that he had been in business for over 20 years. Henry suggested painting the trim the same color as the new deck, which I hadn't thought of, and gave good advice about the house color to go with it. He and his crew were very professional and pleasant as well, did the whole job in 2 1/2 days.
