We experienced a serious plumbing leak while we were at work that lifted about 6'x2' of sod from our front lawn and then spilled out to the street. Fortunately our astute homeowners association manager saw it and shut off the water. After we returned home, I tried to contact several plumbers but didn't have any luck with the so called "24-hour emergency plumbers." So we reconciled ourselves to no water for the night, and I got my shovel and dug out the pipes to find the leak, which was at a complicated intersection with a T from the main water line to 3 elbows. It was well beyond my abilities to fix. The next morning at 6:50 I called Jeff's brother (also listed under plumbing on Angie's list), but he was fully booked & referred me to Jeff. Jeff was booked until 10, but after I explained the situation and how concerned we were, he rearranged his schedule to see us with another plumber from his shop to get things started by 8am. They were familiar with our housing complex which I saw as a good sign. They were a good team & put things together from both their trucks to get started, then Jeff left. I had to leave also, but the associate seemed very confident and started attacking the issue immediately. They let me pay the estimated charges in advance, and I thought their charges were reasonable for the situation. I was able to get to work almost on time, which was great as I had a very busy day scheduled. When we came home from work the water was working perfectly & he had even shoveled some of the dirt back to start to cover the pipes. All-in-all, a good ending to what had been a very stressful situation.
