In anticipation of replacing carpet, I pulled up the edge of the carpet and saw several cracks in the slab foundation. I called GDC Construction and Pancho Dewhurst and Bill Higgins came the same day to initially assess the situation and give a preliminary estimate. The following Monday, Bill Higgins and 2 other workers helped me to remove the furniture from our downstairs and pull up all the carpet and padding. The furniture was placed in our garage or on the patio where the workers covered it with plastic sheeting. Pancho and Bill then assessed the entire slab and a final estimate was approved. They began work immediately, closing off all openings to the rooms with plastic before cutting into the slab in multiple locations across each crack. Rebar 'staples' were put into the groves across the cracks. The 'stables' were then covered in epoxy and epoxy was injected into the cracks. The slab repair was ground smooth in preparation for new carpet. It was hard, messy work. The entire crew was very helpful, cooperative, and in good humor at all times. At the same time, I had a sewer pipe crack in the wall and the plumber had to remove drywall to access the pipe. I was able to hire the GDC Construction workers to repair the holes in the drywall and also to repair the drywall on a wall where we had removed cork tiles. I strongly recommend GDC Construction and would use them again in the future

We had a fire in the attic above our master bathroom due to an old fireplace. When gathering bids, GDC Construction was very responsive and thorough in their estimating. We chose GDC out of three bidders because of their reputation in the community and responsiveness. After hiring GDC, they immediately cleaned up the debris and removed the old wet carpet which was starting to create a foul odor in the house. While pulling up the carpet, they discovered a crack in the foundation which they brought to my attention immediately. Scott and Pancho worked diligently and gave me a very fair price to repair the crack and install new footings to prevent it from cracking again. We were very impressed with the respect and professionalism that GDC staff and subs showed to us throughout the duration of the project. We are very impressed with the outcome of our beautiful top-of-the-line master bedroom and bathroom and appreciate all of the hard work that went into it. We would certainly refer GDC Construction to any person looking to remodel or custom build a home.
