Incredible! These folks were fast, did exactly what we asked, were courteous, and fit our budget. This was such a pleasant experience for us, and in addition, the painters were able to fix some minor damage to our existing paint while we were getting the initial job completed. Our foreman, Shin, was knowledgeable, extremely precise, and didn't mind the fact that I kept noticing 'new' areas that needed repair after he would complete one spot. I particulary enjoyed the fact I didn't have to request they come back to clean up, or supervise their work. In fact, they called my attention to places that I had not seen, and were amazing at asking me several times if we were satisfied before they left each day. We will definitely be calling them again!

These painters were thorough and professional. They arrived punctually, covered plants and other items in the area, and cleaned up each day. Since we had not painted in several years, much scraping and sanding was needed. We think the house looks great. We would certainly use them again and recommend them to others.

We had agood feeling about the company from the beginning; James came in the house and explained the work to be done and how they would do it. We had to delay a couple months to do some repairs, but when we were ready, they scheduled us in about a week. On the day, they arrived on time (actually a little early), and Troy, the foreman and very personable guy, explained what they would be doing and what they needed from us, opening and closing windows, etc. Then they went to work, and 41/2 days later they were finished. They put back everything that they'd moved away from the house and cleaned up the debris. These guys were great and I'd recommend them to anyone.

We are extremely happy with the services provided by House Painting Inc. James was early to our first meeting and always responded promptly to my calls. His price was fair and at one point he even offered to let us pay a month late due to a snafu in our escrow process that left us a little low on cash. CJ painted our house with the help of an assistant. They were always on time and finished the job ahead of schedule. CJ was extremely helpful and even re-painted one of the rooms (at no extra cost) because we were dissatisfied with our color choice. Overall, our experience with House Painting Inc. was very positive. We recommend them highly.

Job went well. Painters were punctual, very nice and trustworthy. I left the house for hours at a time. This was important for me. They checked in with me periodically to show me progress and ask for input. All in all a good experience. Would recommend to anyone.

The two man crew did a great job. We are very pleased with the results. They finished in one day.

First James was so easy to reach by phone. And throughout the whole job, he was also easy to reach by phone. James met us at the duplex at the time we needed to give us an estimate. He was on time. He walked around the building with us, pointing out what the building needed and what he would do to fix it. He then showed us two thick notebooks full of recommendation letters from happy customers and before and after photos. He also show us copies of his license and his insurance. He then gave us his proposal on the spot, broken out between areas of work as we requested. We decided to use James after getting another estimate. James price was reasonable and he came across as motivated, organized, professional, and experienced. He was able to schedule the work exactly when we requested. I had to call him back several times to readjust the schedule based on my tenants? requests. He did not give me the least bit of hassle about these changes; rather, he accommodated them immediately and easily. The painters arrived on time. They carefully tied back the plants along the exterior walls. They did all the prep, washed the building, and all the painting in a few days less than the estimated time. We met Andrew, one of the painters. He was extremely friendly, told us how they were proceeding, told us what else was left to do. They had prepped the building so well, that with the new paint, it really turned out to look beautiful. They cleaned everything up 100%. They did a great job; we would definitely use this company again.

James Lee came out to give us a quote. We have a lot of other work that needs to be done, but only wanted the kitchen ceiling done right now. Admittedly, James could have given us a break on the price had we had more work for him right now, but the price of $600 was fair. We wanted it done right. Jame's crew consisted of 2 guys. CJ was the crew leader. He was very personable and polite. They made sure to tape everything off carefully. They came and did the skim coat on the 1st day, that took about 3 hours. The next day they primed and painted the ceiling plus painted parts of 2 walls that were already primed and ready to be painted. They worked quietly, which we appreciate since we both work from home. CJ was also very patient with our over-zealous female Boxer. They did a nice job. CJ left me a 5 gallon paint bucket + grid, which my husband and I used to paint his office last weekend. We will never use a tray again! We plan to call James again for more skim coating on the interior and to paint the outside when we are ready.

The company was very thorough and very professional. James came to our house and gave us an estimate. He brought pictures of some of his previous jobs and also letters of recommendation. We had gotten other estimates, but we decided to go with them because James seemed to be very professional and very aware of all of the things that needed to be done. When we called to ask a question before the job, James assured us that they would not leave until we were happy. The crew that came to do the work at our house were also very professional. They arrived when they said that they would, they cleaned up after themselves on a daily basis, and they covered and protected the plants around our house. If they weren't sure about something, they checked with us to see what we wanted. They were very easy to work with. Our house needed quite a bit of prep work because the exterior had not been painted in many years. The house looks fantastic. Since finishing the job, James has called us to make sure we were happy(which we are)and he also said if there are any problems that arise in the future to let him know. I would definitely use them again and I would certainly also recommend him to friends.

First, James himself answered when we called to get an estimate. He was able to meet us at the property at the time that worked for us. He was punctual. As he walked through the property, he made some notes and explained to us the scope of work they would do. He gave us an estimate on the spot. He showed 2 thick notebooks full of recommendation letters and before and after photos of the dozens of projects he has completed. He showed us his license and insurance documents. When we decided to go with him,since the price was appropriate, he was able to start the job when we desired. We had to adjust the schedule several times due to our tenant's request. Each time I called James concerning changes to the schedule, he answered the phone, and quickly and pleasantly agreed to make the changes. The painters showed up right on time, and did the work in the estimated time. I met the painters, a husband and wife team; they were so friendly, cheerful,and accomodating. This company is fantastic, and we would definitely use them again.

Everything went well. They were very acommodating. SHowed up on time. Showed me progress of work during various stages. Left to do errands and felt like i could trust them in my house. And i could! All in all a good experience.

Trust. On the first day of work, upon seeing my list of do's and dont's, James said, trust me. I told him he had to earn my trust first, and he certainly did. The prep work seemed very good, the painters were extremely conscientious about cleaning up every day at the end of the day, and the painting was excellent. James is very conscientious and responsible. He was always available by phone, none of this having to play phone tag or wait days for him to return a call. That alone was very reassuring. He came by frequently, though not daily, to check on his guys' work. I'm sure if he had needed to, he would have come every day. But his guys are very good. No one is perfect, but I had a much shorter punch list at the end of every day than I've ever had before with painters. Most importantly, every single item I pointed out was quickly acknowledged and taken care of, with no arguments or attitude. During the time they worked on my house, we had a stretch of rainy days. James was very good about watching the weather and doing the work possible when the weather allowed. At the end, one window(a large picture window on the third floor)was seeping water from a big rainstorm, which I thought meant it needed a wider strip of caulking around the bottom and up a bit of the sides. James came over within an hour of my call, took a careful look at the window inside and out with his guys on ladders, checked the roofing, and thought the same. They put a strip of orange tape all around the bottom and up 7 inches of the sides, which stopped the leakage. His guys will return after a stretch of sunny drying-out days to caulk that window with a wide strip of silicone caulking. That kind of response, of taking responsibility, is really priceless for a home owner's peace of mind. Now, when James tells me to let them know, even months down the line, if I'm dissatisfied with something they did, I trust he means what he says! In addition, one of his painters took it on himself to repaint my patio's cement floor, even though that was not included in the estimate. And he's the only painter who's managed to put a paint on it that didn't come right off the first time I moved the furniture around!

Went really well. The painters were scrupulous about covering everything with plastic sheeting to avoid dust and paint getting over things. Also, I ask people to remove their shoes entering my house, and the painters were easy about complying, never giving any attitude. I felt that they themselves were very clean and neat people! The prep and painting work were very good, just a few details that they readily did over to my satisfaction. The quality of this company's work is really high.

Fantastic experience. Two man crew - Mr. Song & Mr. Lamiro - did moderate size job to perfection in three days. Prep work was meticulous and thorough (the key to a good paint job). All surfaces were then primed and finish coated. Two coats of stain on the balcony. Daily clean up was excellent and the crew were careful not to damage any garden plants with their ladders. No splatter or drippings. The crew obviously knew their craft, e.g., very straight cut lines on the woodwork. Mr. Song was always happy to answer any questions and explain procedures and choices being made. Got an Angie's List $100 discount on the job, too. Very happy with the work. The owner, Mr. Lee, came within a half-hour of being called to give an estimate. He had a binder of previous jobs and dozens of letter of recommendation (some of whom I knew). Gave a very reasonable estimate on the spot.

Project leader SONG rocks! Every day he and his crew arrived on time and worked diligently to get everything accomplished in a high quality manner. Our house mission became Song's mission and his crew worked SEVEN DAYS STRAIGHT to complete the job in time for an important family visit. Now the house and garage look amazing! Our family is very picky about details and they were impressed. The neighbors keep giving us a thumbs up for a job well done. If you have a painting job, look no further than this company!

I called on Saturday for a quote and the company owner, James Lee, came that afternoon. He was friendly and courteous and was clearly proud of his business, showing us several affidavits from previous customers. The quote was very reasonable and they were able to start the next week. The crew consisted of Andrew, the foreman, and two other painters. They helped me move plants and outdoor furniture and spent two days prepping the house by sanding, scraping, and priming. The house was then power washed and allowed to dry for another day. They paid great attention to detail and we were pleased to note that even the second story eaves were well coated and neatly done. Andrew was very helpful in giving his opinion on what color combinations would look good on the house and in the neighborhood as a whole. Each day they would set up in the morning and clean up by 4 pm. They were proud of their work and confident that the paint would last for 10 years (not guaranteed, but confident). I had a previous house painted by another company, and I found cobwebs that had been painted but were otherwise undisturbed. This job was nothing like that.

The entire job was completed very quickly & the prep work was first rate. Not only did the crew putty every hole but they made sure to point out those wood flaws/structural quirks that prevented a uniform paint job--which was much appreciated. Given that wood was painted, we expected the natural grain to show & the occasional knots to provide texture. The crew always suggested ways to achieve the most uniform & nice finish. In the end, we are amazed at the difference from the old paint job & will happily call House Painting, Inc again in the future.

The team did a fantastic job, and they were able to schedule the job around our busy schedules. They were very clean and they were also very professional.

Amazing. As the other reviewers reported, James came to give us an estimate the very same morning we called him. His estimate was less than half the price given by our contractor, but 50 percent more than another estimate we got. (I disregarded the first estimate, because the prep would have included only a power-wash and replacing window putty.) Song and his crew (Mario and Ramiro) started the following Monday. They spent 3-1/2 days sanding and scraping the siding and trim. They taped plastic to the windows from the inside to prevent dust and paint chips from getting into the house; the patiently and politely re-taped the plastic every morning to the windows that we opened in the evenings to let air in. They then patched and caulked, replaced old window putty, and even replaced some trim and siding that our contractor had neglected. They primed, and then painted the house. They spent about 1-1/2 days on the window and other trim alone. The result is fantastic, with a little landscaping, the house will look like something out of a This Old House makeover.

They added a couple of things without altering the price. One side of my garage was only one and 1/2 feet away from my neighboring garage. That side hadn't been painted for 35 years. They chipped it and repainted it and remained smiling!!

We've worked with James before for an interior painting job, and since it turned out so well, we decided to hire him again for an exterior job- it was a great decision. He removed the old paint by sanding it down, primed the building, and let us inspect the prep work around the property before the actual painting began, so we felt good about the whole process. Throughout the whole thing the workers were careful to keep the paint off the windows, plants, and the sidewalk by masking the area, and afterward, they cleaned up without a mess. I can't get over how great the house looks, and even the neighbors agree! In the end, because we were a repeat customer, he gave us a discount! I think James and his company pulled it off again, and I know we'll be calling them in the future when we need another job.

The house looks great. They were quick. It only took 3 days. The house was washed and spot primed. The trim was painted and then the exterior. They primed and sanded my garage door which was in poor condition to start. It all looks great and is holding up well so far. They came by a day later and put my patio furniture back on my deck which I appreciated. The house is a 2 bedroom, flat roof, approx. 880 square feet.

The owner came out and talked to me. It was excellent customer service and an excellent paint job. I felt the price was fair. They were the highest graded and lowest priced company.

James was on time for the original estimate and his crew was able to start right away. The prep work was done very well and the painting was well done also.

They were great and they were on time. They finished very fast, the work was top notch and they were very clean. They didn't leave a mess behind at all. The prices were very reasonable, but they were a little expensive.
