One of their men painted the door while it was shut because it was locked, all he had to do was knock. After he painted it, the door was stuck. I had to have them back, but then there was some damage caused. I had to have them back again, and the damages were fixed. I have used this company for a long time and there was only one employee I had trouble with, I do recommend the company.

We are so happy with the performance of the House Painting, Inc. team. They did an amazing job. Our home looks pristine. Just beautiful. Following the outstanding introductory meeting I had with owner James Lee, who was extremely thorough and provided references, insurance info, license numbers, and photographs of prior work, we decided to select House Painting, Inc. They were not the lowest price of the four bids we received, but I just felt that they would do a great job. And we were not disappointed. They said the job would take 10-14 days, and they finished in 11.5 days. The team of David Kim, Sebastian, and Donato were outstanding. They were on time (actually early) every day. They worked from 8:30 am to 5 pm daily with about 45 minutes for lunch. They were not only good at what they did, they really cared. They paid attention to every detail, and if something wasn't right, they made it perfect. They used very high quality Dunn Edwards paint. I was most impressed that they devoted almost 7 days to prep work and priming. My wife and I are so happy that we will likely call House Painting, Inc. to paint the interior of our home in the near future. The painters arrived on time each day between 8/8.30am. The first day, the prep'd all the rooms and painted all walls/rooms except the feature wall in the spare room. All painting was completed by lunch time the following day. All painting looks great. The job was performed professionally and carefully.

I've used House Painting Inc. several times over the years. This last work was very important to me. The team included Sandy, her husband and her brother. They arrived right on time and promptly got to work. They spent most of the first day prepping: filling in nail holes, patching and sanding hairline cracks in the crown moulding, repairing a section of baseboard where a previous workman had gouged performing some electrical work. The next three days they painted the trim ( a lot of windows), the ceilings and the walls. They returned on Friday to replace all switchplates, cabinet handles, touch ups, etc. They had to unplug two television sets that are hooked up to cable and one of them is connected to a Bose sound system. I don't know how they did it, but they reconnected everything and made sure it worked before they left. They are quiet, ( no loud radios) hard working and very clean. No mess anywhere. I really enjoyed having them here. I will definitely use them again.

I had a very good experience with House Painting Inc. I was able to setup an appointment with Mr. Lee within a day, their receptionist is very patient and cordial. Mr. Lee gave a fair assessment of the job and provided a price quote the same day. When I decided to go with them on a Thursday, initially they penciled me in for a week out to start, but Mr. Lee called me Friday evening and said they had a crew that could start the next day, on a Saturday AM. This was great as it worked out with my schedule. Nam and Armando did a great job meticulously painting the entire unit over the next 5 days, which included filling cracks and other drywall repairs on the high ceilings. This was a rental unit, so it was a little beat up. I also needed to get the front door painted for which they color-matched with a water-oil hybrid paint. They also finished on-time, and patiently addressed my concerns throughout the process. Perhaps the only downside (if any) in working with this company is that they strongly favor Dunn Edwards, and Suprema paint to be exact, so if you are looking to use another brand it may not be possible.

These guys were the BEST!! I will never use anyone else.

His employee Kim is the most honest person I have ever met. He is willing to do whatever is necessary to please the customer. I have another project in mind which requires me to wait a few weeks for Kim, but he is worth waiting for! Elyse Gifford

Mr. Lee was at my house about an hour after I called inquiring about an estimate. He was very thorough and readily provided proof of licensing and insurance. The three person crew arrived on time on the date agreed upon. They immediately set to work. It was a total pleasure having them work on the house; very thorough and professional. The job took five days. I was very pleased with the final product and I highly recommend this company.

They were very good. James Lee was knowledgeable and honest. They worked hard and finished everything on time. His foreman was a little annoying because he seemed very scared of lawsuits or something. Kept saying this is not covered or not guaranteed. But other than that, great company, would use again.

I can't get over how wonderful Kim and his worker Ismael are to deal with. They are early rather than late and ask for anything I might be unhappy with before they leave. I hope I can use them again in my home and you would be very smart to use them in your home.

I have literally received 1-2 calls daily for an entire 6 weeks straight from this company following a bid that they provided. I don't pick up calls from numbers I don't recognize, and allow them to leave a message. This company never left a message, but called over and over and over again. I finally did a reverse lookup of the telephone number and recognized it to be this company, so I answered today. The person that was calling was just wondering if I'd like to discuss the bid that they provided some time ago. No... I NEVER want to discuss the bid with you. How desperate and unprofessional is this company? Do they have this many ratings because it's the only way to make them leave you alone?

It went very well; James Lee came by to provide us a quote and he provided very thorough documentation and many references. His quote was very competitive out of the bids we received from three contractors. When I called to proceed with the job I was scheduled for the job in the same week. Three painters worked on the job (one of them was the foreman) and they finished in three days (I have a small house). The crew did a good job in cleaning the exterior walls and painted my house outside walls and roof fascia boards very well.

They were on time, communicated what they would do, kept me updated with respect to what was going on. They protected the pool, bushes, and windows etc and cleaned up. They primed needed surfaces and double coated all for a perfect finish. They answered all concerns clearly. They clearly showed us what our chosen wall color would look like. The house looks great.

I had hired House Painting Inc. (Mr. James Lee) 4 years ago to repaint and stucco patch my house, and was very pleased with the work, so I again chose House Painting to do the touch-up of the new eaves wood (the result of eave replacement during re-roofing), and repaint the patio pergola. I later decided to have them return and repaint the lattice fence in the back yard. This company's work is very professional; they pay close attention to detail and are careful with prep and clean-up. They are punctual and stay late to finish if the job is close to being completed, rather than extend it another day. Mr. Song (who was in charge of the painting crew for each job) is considerate of customer requests, answers all questions, and takes old-fashioned pride in his work. I would use them when future painting needs arise, although I believe their work on the exterior of my house will last many years. And yes, I would definitely recommend them.

The guy that came to give the estimate was very condescending and rude. He was impatient, would barely listen to what I was saying and jump to his own conclusions. After that first impression, I'd never let that company do work on my house regardless of where the bid came as I wouldn't trust them. However it didn't matter, the bid was 10-20K OVER all other bids and there were many important details that the bid specifically ruled out, such as caulking nail holes in the siding. All others were happy to do it, and assumed it was part of a good paint job. Which I would surely agree I thought it would be.

Sang and Mauricio showed up on time everyday. They asked what we wanted in a non hurried and professional way. They took their time and did very detailed work, They cleaned up after themselves daily. They controlled the spray and drips of their work so that nothing in the yard or the neighbor's yard shows any signs of there having been painting going on. They explained and answered all of our questions. They were patient with our delays in color choice, rain and other projects going on around them. They were finished when they said and for the price quoted. My wife said, "From now on we should only hire contractors that are up to this standard." I agree.

It went really well. They started our job about a week after we accepted the bid. We got two other bids and their bid was competitive. They were very detailed with their estimate. Told us exactly what it included. The job took 2 weeks. The painters were professional, courteous, and punctual. They spent a lot of time doing prep work (cleaning and preparing surfaces..sanding etc). They were patient with us choosing the color. When the job was complete, our house looked great! We would use them again without a doubt. All was completed before El Nino...Thank Goodness!

We have had several bad experiences with painters in the past so we are always looking for a good painter needed. I am happy to say we have finally found someone. The most important part of the job is the prep work and James Lee House Painting was fabulous on prep. Even my very critical husband was impressed. The job they did was perfect, couldn't find a single thing to fault them on. They are on time, polite, great with prep work and with painting and always leave your home clean when they leave. Our crew was led by Andrew and they did an excellent job. Patching and sanding and replacing a few rotting boards. The paint color we wanted was color-matched by Dunn Edwards on the second try. Andrew put samples on several areas of the house so we could see it in different lighting situations. The quality of the work was exceptional - I can't imagine anyone being able to do a better job. Great attention to the smallest detail. We were assured that our home would look as good as new, and it does. They showed up on time every day and left the area clean and the yard gate shut.
