RAfi was punctual, professional and gave me an estimate within a few minutes. Although he was only coming to give me the estimate, he offered to do the entire job on the spot. and finished it all in about 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

We are redoing the front of the garage and putting in new light fixtures. I called Rafi and told him and he contacted our stucco guy to figure out when was the best time for the work to be done... and he did it. End of story. Except for him coming over ahead of time to discuss the exact placement of the fixtures with us and confirming how they were supposed to look when the project was complete. He is always making sure that everything looks right. This isn't really a review of the work he did on installing the lights on my garage. This is a summary review of the work he does for us all the time. It's just that the last thing he was out here doing was a little project and so it seems appropriate to use that as the basis for the review. Rafi has been doing all of our electrical work for years. He is not only a knowledgeable electrician, but he always is sure to double check our stylistic choices. If we ask for multiple lighting fixtures to be installed, he considers how they will line up and what makes the most aesthetic sense. My wife is a stickler for detail and Rafi even points things out to her that can be refined. He's amazing. He does all his own work, so his attention to detail is apparent in the entire project, and the entire project is always completely thought out. We are constantly doing projects that are outside of the box, and Rafi understands our goals and helps us get there. He is the standard by which we compare all of our other contractors.

Tub injectors would not turn on. Raffi took the blower apart and pointed out that the blower was good, but the circuit board for it wasn't. He tried to get the company to send a replacement part, but was told that they only sold the whole blower unit with 90 warranty. Raffi found a third party who repaired the circuit board for a fraction of the cost and ordered the parts. He called the day he received it and scheduled a follow-up day to complete the job. He's on my call list. Thanks Angie's List!! Money well spent.

Rafi was very helpful with the selection and placement of the devices and sorted out how they work for my usage. He is a very pleasant thoughtful person to deal with and even worked overtime to be sure that everything was correct and what I wanted. It all works perfectly.

Okay, this is the second review by me. I said I would use him again and I did. This time for an industrial problem at my shop. (I had just fired the shops electrician because he didn't show up the day he said he would!) Raffi is wonderful. He's quick, the work is excellent AND if something goes wrong he calls back (again and again) to help fix it. In our case he installed some breakers and 240 v lines to our air compressor, dryer, etc, etc. The next day the breaker for the compressor kept tripping. We're in the middle of production!!! He's on a job OUT OF TOWN. But he answered his phone right away and gave us trouble shooting advice (try another breaker...even the new ones from Lowes can be faulty - we did and that was the issue). Then he called back a day later to make sure there was no further trouble and to let me know he would be back in town in the next day if we needed him. Honestly, you don't get this kind of commitment for such small jobs usually. If there were 10 stars, Raffi would get them!

I've had some issues with my AC unit and the circuit breaker. Almost every hour when the AC is running, the air gets hot and we have to reset the circuit breaker. Then I couldn't reset the breaker anymore this afternoon on the hottest afternoon of the summer. Called a couple places rated on Angie's list but most couldn't get out here for a week. Called Rafi and I caught him at the end of a job and he said he'd be right over. There were a multitude of problems, including a loose wire that ended up burning out the breaker and the wrong amp for my AC unit. He went and picked up the necessary part, fixed the issue, did some diagnostic tests, looked over my AC unit and gave me a couple tips about what else may have contributed to the problem and how to avoid any further issues. I'm 100% satisfied with my entire encounter. He even answered some questions I had about possible renovations to my house. If i have another problem, i'd use him in a heartbeat.

It is practically impossible to find someone with Rafi's amount of professionalism and caring. My wife and I own a custom hand restored 1927 cabin style home. Rafi has been doing electrical upgrades on for us for a couple of years, but recently we had him install some inside lighting where it had not existed before, Rafi had to painstakingly remove the knotty pine boards from the walls and ceilings to install the fixtures and switches. No matter how hard you look, you cannot tell that the work was not done during the original construction. As far as his costs, he is as fair and upfront about what your costs will be. He provides a complete written estimate for larger jobs, and a verbal estimate for the smaller ones, and has actually tried to "refund" us money when he has come in under his estimated fee. If you are lucky enough to get him, you will most certainly be writing something similar here.

Rafi Yahjian was recommended to us by our friend Sahak Selian ? general engineering contractor and home inspector. We have invited Rafi to redesign and estimate lighting improvements in our townhouse. His service included extensive counseling on the type of light bulbs available as well as their performance and efficiency. Based on his recommendations we had no problem choosing the fixtures. Our kitchen was dark as a cave but after Rafi was done we loved the many levels of lighting we have and the kitchen looks very different. Our living room had no lights ? Rafi installed recessed ceiling lights divided in groups on separate switches so we could choose the level of light. What a great improvement! He kept his work area nice and clean and very little cleaning was needed to be done after he finished. We will definitely hire him again if electrical work is needed and we highly recommended him to anybody who needs such type of service.

Mr. Yahjian came right over to my house (even though I had to be away), looked at the problem (power line was pulled loose from house and lying on roof), called with explanation of what had to be done and how much he would charge. I gave approval and he completed the job right then! It was a serious safety hazard and I was very glad that he was able to do it right then. He noticed two other small issues related to those power lines and fixed them too. THEN, he took pictures of a cracked steel support cable that was Edison Electric's responsibility, sent them to me and advised that I contact them because should the cable break, the power line would most likely go too. I was thoroughly impressed by Mr. Yahjian's thoroughness. I would definitely call him again.

It was successful job for a 1947 home. He was highly knowledgable about former methods used on older homes and how to fix them. Highest recommendation for Mr. Yahjian in every respect.

I found Rafi on Angie's List and called him to come out and give me an estimate on upgrading my house from 100A to 200A and installing a sub-panel in the garage. He is a very friendly and professional person. He came in under budget and did exactly what he said he'd do. He always called whenever there was a question and kept me well informed of the project schedule. The project involved pulling permits and city inspections. I was very happy with the price and timeline. We are currently planning on the next phase of electrical work (re-wiring the garage) and I plan on having him do all of my electrical contracting in the future. I highly recommend him.

I hired Rafi for a complete rewiring of an old home I recently purchased. He came highly recommended by my brother who has used him on several similar projects. His work was VERY PROFESSIONAL and THOROUGH. He worked with my schedule and had great suggestions and advice as we went along. I had a few quotes from other electricians and Rafi's was very competitive with the others, however, I am super glad I went with him and not the others. He is an honest, personable guy and can't stress the PROFESSIONALISM. I will use him again for any electrical needs i may have and highly recommend him.
