George came to the house on time. The charge to make the house call was $65. I explained that my heater kept turning off after 5 minutes and no hot air came out. So he went on the roof to check the unit...and said there was nothing wrong with it. He said the problem was the thermostat and wanted to charge us $125 to install the one we purchased. When I asked him to stay and make sure the unit stayed on, and the thermostat worked, he refused and said, "Ma'am, we don't do that". When I asked him a question regarding what would they normally check first to see what would cause this problem...he laughed, said, 'there are a million different things, Ma'am. I'm not going to name them all to you." When I asked him to treat me with a little more respect and to not be condescending to me, he threw up his hands and said he was out of here, and exclaimed, "Don't touch me!" when he walked passed me to the garage door, to leave. What? Touch him? Wow. We called another technician, Wes from Airlogic, who came and informed us that the duct in the unit in the roof was smashed and could not get airflow and that the old thermostat was working fine. Wes was able to fix my heater the same day and install the updated thermostat I bought. He was able to answer all our questions and explain what he was doing. It was excellent customer service!! Had we let George install the updated thermostat and let him leave, we would have paid him for nothing.
