Ed returned my phone call in under an hour. He wanted to be sure I understood there were other ways to value the home, i.e. real estate brokers who would give a free opinion of market value. He then explained that if I bought the house and a lender was involved, I would have to pay for another appraisal. I appreciated his integrity and honesty. He arrived early for the appointment and performed his job very professionally. The appraisal came in a day earlier than promised by email, followed up by a hard copy. There were no surprises. Everything went like clockwork. I couldn't be more pleased.

I called Reitz & Associates late one Friday afternoon, spoke with Ed Reitz, and made an appointment for the following Monday at 9:30 a.m. He arrived on time, appeared to make a careful inspection of the perimeter of our home, and then made what also appeared to be a careful inspection of the interior. The home had been appraised for refiancing purposes about two years ago, and we saw many errors in the appraisal, but our loan to value ratio was so favorable that it didn't make any difference what the appraisal was. The appraisal of Ed Reitz did not have any mistakes, and even though our house has an unusual shape with several balconies and decks, he appeared to properly measure the house. He promised that the appraisal would be mailed in not more than three days, and if fact, the appraisal arrived that Friday. Ed Reitz was courteous, friendly, informative, but at the same time, all business.
