+ 1 moreTyler and Gerry were professional and punctual from the very beginning. That's one thing I watch because it is an indicator of someone's work ethic and I didn't want this projec to drag on forever. They were great about providing me with a wide variety of options in the remodeling project of the kitchen and bathroom and helping me transofrm my my vision into reality. They were great about checking with me along the way and letting me see how things were coming along - some contractors don't like you hanging around and asking questions, but they were so professional and engaging. It made me feel like I was part of creating this vision I had been dreaming about for some time instead of a nuisance. Each night, they were good about cleaning up and not leaving a mess behind (unlike other contractors I had used in the past) and checking out with me to let me know where they were in the process. Overall, it went very well - they let me be a part of the process, didn't rush me, finished on time and within budget. I couldn't have asked for more. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for home contracting services.
Description of Work: I was referred to Universal Home Improvement by a friend who had just had their tile floor installed by them. I had been considering remodeling my kitchen and small guest bathroom, but had heard horror stories about contractors who promise you everything under the sun for an unbelievable price, then the project turns into an unfinished nightmare which ends up costing yui doubel the initial estimate. But, I had relatives who were coming to visit and I decided there was no better time to take the "plunge", so I give UHI a chance since my friend spoke so highly of them. And, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised from the very beginning - they were punctual and professional, patient with all the questions I asked and ideas I shared with them during our initial walk through. Not only was the project seamless, but they completed it on time (right before my family came to visit) and within budget! It was refreshing to work with knowledgeable, experienced, professionals who truly took pride in their work product. I would definitely recommend UHI to anyone who is considering anything from tile flooring to kitchen/bathroom remodeling. Their website is www.universalhomeimprovement.BIZ.
