Signature Home Inspection

You won't find a more professional home inspection company out there than Signature. Professionals from every aspect, start to finish. Every nook and cranny that can be checked will be checked. The following result is as detailed of a report as you're going to see filled with notes, photos, measurements, guidelines, you name it. They are the WORST! We found Scott and Signature Home Inspection on yelp and with all the 5 star reviews we thought we would give them a try. They performed an inspection on our home and as I am sure Scott will reply and state found "108 items" that needed attention. What they did not find is 3 major plumbing issues that we found the first and second day in the house. After a my husband took a shower which took less than 5 minutes part of the ceiling under the master bath began to fall. As soon as we started a bath for my 2 yr old son the following day in the guest bath upstairs within 2 minutes there was major leaking in 3 different areas. When I decided to take a shower in the downstairs bath to avoid anything upstairs the water immediately began to build up. Every plumber, remediation worker, rooter, handyman, engineer who has walked in this house over the last two days has said how did your inspector miss this? When the plumber opened the ceiling in the area under the master bath he said there was a pipe just sitting in another pipe. Not tightened or secured. It is clear to everyone except Scott that had he performed a proper inspection he would have caught all these issues since they all happen within 2 minutes of running the water. Scotts answer is that they can not predict future plumbing failures. Well he is absolutely correct. You also can't find current plumping problems when you don't perform an inspection to the normal standards. We have now been in our home for 4 days and have walls that have been removed, several portions of the ceiling that have been removed, a majority of flooring in the area that has been removed, extremely loud fans to dry the area, my husband missed 2 days of work, I canceled several patients and all because Scott didn't want to take the time to do his job correctly. Do yourself a favor and find someone else! This guy is a joke!
