Description of Work: They did a great job! I still cannot believe there were 55 large holes in my walls. They patched everything up as good as new. Everything about how the job was done was better than I expected. The men were thoughtful and considerate. Prompt, quick, efficient and professional. I was very impressed.

Description of Work: My $47 purchase of Repipe1 Big Deal on Oct. 12 for "Water Damage and Mold inspection with $500 Repair Credit" ended up with signing a $5980.00 Repiping Contract with them. They gave me a 5% (not $500)discount to reduce the contract by $299 to $5681.00. I am satisfied with the job they did but question remains, should they have honored the $500 discount promised in their ad or the 5%? Please express your opinion and I am right, ask them to honor their promise. Thanks Hadi Rajabi

Description of Work: They re-piped my entire house, because I had the Kitrc pipes in my 15 year old home. Jeff and Aleksandar did a great job. The 1st day was prep (laying down paper to cover the floor and covering everything with plastic). They also cut all the holes in the walls. The 2nd day they re-piped the whole house. The 3rd day was repairing the walls. Jeff and Aleksandar came about 8:00am each morning and left about 5:30 each day. I would recommend them to anyone. I used the Special on Angie's list, it saved me about $3000 dollars.

It went well. Very smooth. They quoted me a rough estimate on the phone. They came and confirmed the cost in person. They came back later to do the work and it was completed. No issues, no babysitting them or micromanaging. Super professional and quick.
Description of Work: We had found a leaking problem in our kitchen so we called a few vendors, got estimates and went with Repipe1. They were great! They were very accurate with the questions they asked and helped me understand what the process was to fix. They not only did a great job with fixing the issues quickly, but they treated me well with answering questions, following up, calling back quickly. Best part is that they stuck with they quote they gave me. I hate nothing more than when i get an estimate and then they charge me more once the project is done. I would use them again in a heart beat and I do recommend their services.

I was extremely impressed with this company. So much so that I am writing this just as they finish our whole house re-pipe. The crews were extremely nice. My wife even commented how courteous and clean they were. Our house was extremely difficult and they were done very quickly. Jim took the time to explain the entire process. He took my calls into the evening and was always available with for any questions. These guys earn every penny! Even though everyone who worked on our house was exceptional, Robert who was the drywall foreman stood out as a very accommodating extremely hard working representative. I work in the customer service industry and I know how hard it is to work with customers during a stress full time and Robert impressed me with his work ethic and attention to detail. I have had many experiences with contractors and I would say that this one was one of the best! Going through a slab leak problem is extremely stressful but these guys did an outstanding job!
Description of Work: We had our second slab leak and we were told by several of our neighbors that they would continue to occur. We decided to replace our entire house with PEX plumbing. We have a 2 story 3 bathroom house. They replaced all of the pipes and fixed dry wall and stucco.

The repiping crew was excellent, they were experienced, knowledgeable and hard working. They arrived early and completed the job by 5 pm, leaving a neat and clean jobsite. The following day, the patch crew completed the patch work , they did a very good job, by leaving the patched areas ready for painting. The support staff at Repipe1 was excellent, I would recommend Repipe1 in the future, especially the pipng crew that did our work.
Description of Work: Replaced leaking water main and one full bathroom, kitchen sink and washer to copper pipe. They added 2 shutoff valves for future replacement of copper piping to another bathroom.

It was a very positive experience and I will have them re-pipe my mothers home next year.
Description of Work: I just saw the RePipe1 van drive off our driveway-They put our plumbing back in order. I was getting tired of having a slab leak for the past 4 months. I am happy with RePipe1's service and price. The city inspector spoke about how good the re-pipe looked as well. Everything was smooth including the drywall repairs. The office staff was helpful and understanding for my concerns. I would refer RePipe1 to all my friends and family. Repipe1 is #1!!!!

I have actually been meaning to write this for a few weeks now.......I am a single woman, and I live alone. It is always scary for me to deal with contractors, or auto mechanics, etc., because in most cases I don't really know if they are lying to me or not. I have a small home in West Los Angeles and the water pipes started to go bad. I didn't even realize that there was a repipe industry. I talked to my sister who has a huge home in Laguna Niguel and she had told me that she had a slab leak and was looking for the right company to do the job, so we decided to shop together. We were hoping that if we could find a company with integrity that could take care of both of us without ripping us off, then maybe we might survive our dilemmas. My sister went on the internet, and she heard some radio commercials....so she ended up getting the first few estimates. She met with companies that wanted to charge her over 10,000.00 and she met with companies that wanted to put epoxy in her pipes. The "expensive" guys had a really hard sell, and wouldnt leave her house unless she signed. She tried to tell them that she wanted to get other quotes, but they bad-mouthed the competition. When she found out that if she put epoxy in her pipes that she could never work on them again and that the water wasnt safe to drink right away, then that took them out of the picture as well. I had a few people come by my little home, and it was a similar nightmare. I couldnt understand why everyone was talking to me like it was going to be rocket science. People showed up late and treated me like I was an idiot. We were both ready to give up. Then we saw the commercial on tv for Angies List........THANK YOU ANGIE!!!!!!!!! We saw the ratings for Repipe 1 and became very hopeful. We went to their website and saw other letters from customers.....REAL LETTERS with REAL FULL NAMES and REAL ADDRESSES and REAL PHONE NUMBERS!!!!! We figured that it was too good to be true. I decided to go first, so I sent them an email request on their website and got a response from the General Manager, Jim, within just an hour or so.....ON A SUNDAY no less..... Jim came out the next day, and was so professional, and such an extremely nice guy!!!!!! He took the time to talk to me in a language that I could understand and made promises that were already documented by others that he could follow through on. He explained to me exactly why Repipe 1 had no complaints against them as a company, and I immediately felt safe in his hands. I was so happy, that I forgot to mention my sisters home in Laguna, but I found out that she had already sent an email requesting a quote from them already. When she and I compared the numbers, we felt that the integrity of the pricing offered by Jim and Repipe 1 was absolutely phenomenal. My little 1 bathroom home was done for about 3000.00 and her huge 3 bathroom home was done for 5500.00.........I dont have wet bars and laundry sinks and all the extras that her home has, and it just made sense!!!!! Everything went exactly as Jim promised......the time to do the work and the time to fix the walls. I can't even tell that they were ever opened up!!!! Even the inspectors in both Los Angeles AND Laguna Niguel told us that we had purchased superior work!!! I just wanted to say thank you to ANGIE's List and to Repipe 1....I hope this letter helps you all get tons and tons of work, and I hope I can be one of the hundreds of phone numbers of happy customers on your website!!!!! ~Claire Huber

Response from Repipe 1
Hi Member- I understand that you purchased the Angieslist Big Deal and the coupon is not the same scope of work as you thought. You are adding a bathroom to your home, however our coupon consists of a repipe. We specialize in repiping and our coupon from Angieslist said that as well. I will be happy to provide you a refund for the coupon that you purchased from angieslist, however, the funds you paid angielist is not what I had received from them, therefore, repipe1 received 18 percent less than what you paid angielist. I will be happy to mail you a check for 3499 minus the 18 percent Angieslist charged us. If you would like to get a full refund then call Angieslist and see if they can supplement the other 18 percent to you. Please let me know if you want me to mail you a check for 3499 minus the 18 percent or you want to call Angieslist first to see if they can provide you the other 18 percent. Please let me know your position so I can direct my staff to prepare your funds immediately. Please reply. Thank you, Danny Zilberberg

Jim came first to give an estimate and left a fancy brochure with referral letters etc. He quoted me 2 prices, one for Pex, another for copper. When I emailed Jim to get a list of referral phone numbers, he provided that right away. He was more than available on the telephone when I had questions. The project manager or phone reps called me dutifully to set up appointments, from the initial pipe re-do to the inspector date to the patchers and to organize the final inspection. There was one problem that came up that the plumber did the whole house in pex, but when i explained I expected copper, after a few phone calls, they came back the next day to do it in copper. I expected a big hassle and the run-around. The patchers did a great job, and all workers were on time. They were efficient, and both teams (pipers and patchers) were very clean, professional, respectful. I got the feeling that they were doing their own house! I'm now waiting for the final inspection and also because I wanted to provide my own shower handle, Jim was willing to work with me on that; they will install that for me. I expect that to go over well, too. Very positive experience overall.
Description of Work: I had my galvanized pipes redone into copper and got a new water heater installed.

I had been needing a repipe for quite a while, and had gotten a couple of bids for copper repiping for around $5500 to $6000. My house isn't very large and that seemed exorbitant to me, so being pretty handy I started investigating doing it myself. I decided that learning to sweat copper while crawling around under my house was probably not a good idea, but then I read about PEX (Crosslinked Polyethylene -- a very strong yet flexible plastic pipe) and how easy it is to work with. Unfortunately, it had been kept out of California code under most circumstances thanks to lobbyists for various copper pipe manufacturers and fitters unions because it posed a threat to their profits. When I read that the PEX manufacturers had finally won their lawsuit and gotten code approval, I began preparing to do the work myself. Soon, however, I came across an ad for Repipe 1 in a coupon flyer stating that they do 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry hook-up for a flat rate of $3499 for PEX. That seemed very reasonable, so I called to have them do an estimate, to see if they would suddenly start finding add-ons that would drive the price up. Jim Michaelson, the General Manager, came over and gave me the estimate himself. I was immediately impressed with his professionalism and the company's thoroughness -- he gave me a substantial packet of brochures showing the various fittings and materials they used, copies of their California and Nevada licenses, insurance certificate, Better Business Bureau rating (A-), and recommendation letters from past clients (with addresses and phone numbers). Best of all, they were true to their word about the price. The only additional charge on my written estimate arose from my request that they also run a new service line from the water meter to my house (for $639). I was pretty much sold right then and there, but I needed to make sure I had the money available and I was curious to see what kind of hard sell I might get for delaying an answer. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised as there was no pressure put on me at all. A couple of days later, we scheduled an appointment for the following week. On the designated day, three workers arrived right on time. After surveying the rooms and the water heater, they removed any rugs or obstacles, and laid down a path of heavy duty kraft paper. One worker began digging up a strip of my lawn to lay the new service line and remove the old one, as another measured and fitted it, while the third began breaking through the walls and dismantling the old pipes, all the while being careful to minimize the mess by disposing of the debris at various intervals. About 9 hours later, the work was completed, except for the patching which needed to wait until the city inspector signed off on it. However, they were able to turn the water back on in the meantime, so I had full use of all my fixtures that same night. The inspector came the next day, and while he was only slightly familiar with PEX as it was seldom used in L.A. at that point, he had no issues with any of the work he saw. In fact, he was pleased to see that they didn't use any shortcuts such as bringing exposed pipes up through the floor for the toilet and sink connections (which is permissable but unsightly). The work was approved. A day or two later, the patch crew came in and restored my walls to paint-ready condition and that was that. I had all new pipes with enough water pressure to turn on every faucet in the house and run the washing machine at the same time without noticing a drop. Awesome!

The crew arrived at 8AM on time. They consisted of three workers who immediately began the process of replacing the fixtures after shutting off the main water supply. I had purchased a whole house water filter and new fixtures for two showers and a bathtub prior to their arrival. The whole house filter we installed was a commercial grade filtration system with multiple graduated filters to ensure that the City of Los Angeles water is a bit cleaner when it enters the new plumbing at the house. They were able to install the whole house filtration systems and fixtures in addition to an additional ball in socket main water cut-off valve as well. There was one aspect to the job that I was not expecting. To access one of the shower valves, without destroying the bathroom tile, they came in through an outside wall by creating a 9" hole. Also, when they replaced the hot and cold fixtures on the various sinks, water heater, washers, toilets, etc., they would chip out the existing fixture through the drywall leaving 2" holes at each opening. But not to worry. Another two crew members, the drywall and stucco team, arrived a few hours into the job. They did a great job of repairing all of the holes and matched the stucco texture perfectly. The only issue that I had was an upsell attempt (successful I might add) during the job. Since PEX tubing is not metal and does not conduct electricity, they had to re-ground the electrical panel after installing the new plumbing. This was not disclosed during the estimate and initially I was suspicious that this was a ploy for the crew to extort a little extra money on the side. Initially they offered this 'service' for $500 additional, which I negotiated down to an additional $300. Overall a positive experience and I would recommend Repipe 1 to anyone contemplating a re-pipe of their existing house. You would be amazed at the residue on the inside of the existing pipes they replaced.
Description of Work: I was contemplating changing the fresh water plumbing on a 1953 house that had had some additional plumbing added over the years (1970's and 1990's). I contacted two conventional plumbers (copper piping) to obtain estimates on the job. One was a no show and the other estimate was $20,000 which seemed very high for the job. Prior to the estimate I crawled under the house to inspect the existing plumbing. The house has a water heater, 1 kitchen, dish and clothing washer, water supply to the ice maker, 2 3/4 baths and three outside faucets. The 'run' is not that long as all of the aforementioned water fixtures are within 30' of each other. Then I saw the Repipe1 ad in the monthly coupon packet. I have PEX tubing on another home we have in Northern California and was aware of the product. This has been used in homes in Europe for three decades but is relatively new in North America. I called Repipe 1 and scheduled an estimate. The estimator was punctual and efficient. He quickly game me an estimate consistent with the ad at the time - $3500. I called a few days later and scheduled the job for the following week.

Their workers come on Wednesday, 1:30pm as we scheduled by the phone. First, they check, then they talk to us about the problem, the estimate time to finish and what materials they will use for the best quality. During the process, I can tell they are really professional for what they do and did efficiently. I am very glad for their job and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: It was very pleasant to have repipe 1 working for our house. Before the new year we check and repair everything in a good condition to have good beginning of next year. The plumbing system is the first thing to repair. We searched the repiping companies and finally pick up Repipe 1. Their workers did very efficiently and indeed excellent work. We don't have any worry about the plumbing system now. It works very well.
