Drywall patching and painting were professionally done and no one could tell the wall was opened to replace the pipes.

Overall, the service was great. I called them and they came the same day, gave me an estimate and started working right away. They changed all the piping underneath my house and I didn't even feel they were ever there.
Description of Work: I needed some repipe repairs on my house thinking it would cost a fortune. Repipe1 came highly recommended by a friend, so i gave them a try. They were kind, friendly, and answered all my questions. They started the job promptly, and, more importantly, they completed it fast at a very fair price. I was very happy with the service and I would highly recommend this company to anyone

I am very happy over all with my experience. The re-pipe crew was awesome. They deserve kudos from their employers. These guys knew exactly what they were doing. The building inspector said it was the cleanest PEX re-pipe he had ever seen. They showed up on time, and executed their responsibilities with a high level of quality and professionalism. PEX is a great alternative to copper, and the cost difference is huge. Although I have only a few months of using my new PEX plumbing system, I am very very pleased with the results. Dry wall and exterior patching was good over all, and I would hire this company again in a heart beat.
Description of Work: Complete repipe of a 3 bathroom, wet bar, kitchen, laundry, and 3 hose bibs, 3000 sq. foot single family house. Including main-line. PEX was the material of choice through out (except main line and exterior connections where copper is required). PEX was selected because of cost, and quality of material. Also ease of installation reduced labor costs as opposed to copper.

They did an awesome job. They were very efficient. It got done correctly and the price was great. They got done everything the other companies promised us for about 1/2 the price. They were very customer oriented. They took the time to go into detail over everything it would entail and what it wouldn't go over. They were very honest about questions that we asked.

Repipe 1 kept every promise and exceeded expectations. They showed up on time. Promised to have one bath done the first day and have the rest of the house working the second day. They had two of our 3 baths working the first day and were done at 5:00 PM on the second day. After each day the house was left clean. During their work they put plastic up everywhere to keep any dust from drifting around the house. They replaced everything except the sink faucets and those they can do optionally. The inspector showed up on the 3rd day and passed the work. The wall patching far exceeded expectations. Not only could you not see where they had cut into the walls, but they sprayed texture coating so professionally that no touch-up was needed by me (a bit of a perfectionist). It took just one day. They also put up plastic everywhere and on the floors to keep dust to a minimum. The inspector came the next day and couldn't tell where they'd worked, simply asked if I was happy and signed off on the project.
Description of Work: They re-piped our 2 story, 3 Bath home with PEX pipe. Wasn't sure I wanted PEX, but after 3 pinhole leaks in our copper in the last year, this is the better choice. So far, contrary to some things you read, there is no bad smell, no taste and it's as if you are drinking water from a plastic bottle.

Chris came out to give an estimate to replace galvanized plumbing with copper. He was professional and on time. The workers showed up on time and were very professional. All members of the crew worked hard and showed up on time. The job was completed in 4 days including inspection. We had an issue with the sprinkler line after the main was changed. Repipe 1 was very responsive and sent someone out immediately to fix it. Overall great experience, I would recommend this contractor.

Our pipes were starting to leak, so we had been getting estimates from different plumbers and heard about repipe 1 from a friend. They had been pleased with the work, and from all of the Angie's List reviews and my conversations with Jim, it seemed like the best deal. The first day (a Friday) 2 workers arrived 3 hours late, then took a lunch break and started working at about 1:00 in the afternoon. It seemed like very little was accomplished that day - a lot of time was spent outside on the phone speaking in another language. To make a long story short - they seemed like they had never done this before. The job dragged on for 7 days before everything was working. We never had any idea when they were going to show up - or leave. One night I had to send them home at 9:30 because we were going to bed. But no matter how long they were there, they still couldn't seem to get the job done right. All of the faucets were dripping, the water pressure was too low in some places & too high in others. They were messy, the house was dusty, they had a vacuum but never used it. They left their tools all over our garage for a week so we couldn't park our cars in it. The same guys who did the plumbing also did the drywall repair and it was also a terrible job. The office tried to respond to our complaints, but they kept sending the same guys back. It was hard to believe it was actually the same company that I read all of these reviews about. I gave them a C overall rating because our plumbing is working, but nothing works as well as it had been before they did the repipe. The shower fixture in one bathroom is still backwards (hot & cold) And the shower fixture in our new bathroom was not reconnected properly, so the water pressure is very low. A few days after the job was all over someone from the company called us to say he was coming out to make some adjustments due to our complaints, but at that point we were done. We didn't want just more of the same. Overall, we were very dissatisfied. I wasn't going to write a bad review, but we joined Angie's list to get other's feedback, and I feel that you should know the good and the bad.

I emailed Repipe1 for a quote. Within an hour I got a call from Chris, who came out same day to walk through the house and come up with a quote. He emailed the quote to us late that day and called to go over it. We liked the price and booked the installation dates. The workers showed up right on time and got right to work. They were friendly and helpful, installing new faucets and a new water heater too. The work was done in two days as planned. There was a bit of confusion scheduling the inspection afterward because the Repipe office staff kept calling the house rather than my cell phone as requested. But we eventually got it done a few days later. All checked out. Overall a very good job done at a reasonable price.
Description of Work: We replaced all the galvanized pipes in our 40-year-old 4-bedroom house. We chose to install PEX rather than copper pipes. Repipe1 removed all the old pipes, installed PEX, then repaired the drywall to paint-ready condition.

Pretty good job, they did a lot of work and price was fair. Installed new toilet, bath sink, faucets, wash tub, tub drain and more. My complaints would be left scrap p-tex in crawl space everywhere, didn't strap the pipes well and having to fix that myself along with tub faucet handle. Also had to have them come back and install drain washer in bath sink right as was upside down.

I held off proceeding for a couple of weeks because the bid from Repipe 1 was about half of what other contractors quoted. Contractor explained their price is based on competing in much larger market (Southern California) than local plumbing contractors. I decided to take the chance. Start of job was scheduled very quickly. The only "hiccup" was the permit obtained by contractor initially was incorrect: it was to replace the water line from street to house, not the re-pipe of water plumbing from service through house, and addition of gas line. I had to assist in getting correct permit issued after work had initiated. On the night before work was scheduled, we had a winter storm that snowed in mountain passes between Bakersfield and where workers were coming from. The main worker told me he left his home at 2:00 a.m. to make sure he got through, and he worked alone the first day for about 12 hours to do the first stage of work and get water back on so we had service that night. The next day both workers were able to get to Bakersfield and they again worked for nearly 12 hours to get finished enought to get the water back on. Foreman returned for a third day to finish detail work, and was very responsive to various details such as leveling visible fixtures. A friend who is a journeyman plumber came to view their work and reported it all looked good. The final day a two man crew came in to replace drywall and patch, and finished in that day. Their patching was adequate. I had made arrangements to have a different drywall/plaster contractor come in after plumbing was done to repair ceiling and wall in a room where water leak had occurred, and I had that contractor "touch up" the patch job in a few locations. The Repipe 1 patch job was probably acceptable to most, but I wanted a little more finished look than Repipe 1 had left. Overall, I was quite satisfied with Repipe 1 and I did not mind spending a little on some extra touch up.

Repipe 1 was very professional and responsive. The only negative for them was that it took two full days to do the patching. It was supposed to take a single day. But they did an excellent job patching. If you absolutely have to do repiping, I would recommend them. But it makes a terrible mess, and there are so many holes that a lot of walls are affected, meaning there's a lot of painting to be done after they're gone. So think hard if you need to do this. But if you do, I would recommend these guys.

I had repipe1 do the repiping for my 60 year old home. On the whole, it was a good experience. All the folks that came to do the work were extremely professional and did a great job. They were always on time, very professional attitiude, great demeanour and tried very hard to make as small a mess as possible. Additionally, they were extremely polite and I would have no hesitation in hiring any of them to work in my home again. The only black spot in the entire experience was in dealing with one of the ladies at the office named "Tina". If you use their services, insist on dealing with Kim who is also very responsive and understanding. The trouble I had was that I needed the work completed by Friday... something I had made clear to them and they had promised would happen. However, they had some sort of scheduling conflict and were not able to complete the work until Saturday Night... thus costing me a weekend day to put all my stuff back in the closets. I understand that delays happen, but it was the attitude displayed by Tina that turned me off - she was not in the slightest apologetic of the delay neither could she fathom the inconvinence caused. The reason that I would hire them anyway is that when I expressed my frustration over the phone with the attitude and hung up, I received a call from a supervisor within a half hour to understand the issue and make it right. Although they could not accomodate getting the job done by Friday, they did call and give me a 5% discout to make up for it. Bottom line, great comapny, very professional contractors and the job so far looks great.

We had an issue with their pricing and we had an disagreement on the price point and so I would not trust them in terms of the pricing that they offered. They decided to reroute a sewer without talking to me and then we had a debate on how much that was going to cost and they were relentless so I would not recommend them. Everything they did was off measurement and off center and eventually I had to go to different plumber to finish the work. I would not use them again.

Dear Sir, I do not know who you are, as we have never met......not when the initial proposal was given, nor any of the other times that I was at the property. I can only assume that it was your wife that I dealt with, as she has the same last name as you. First and foremost, I would like to say that the City of Newport Beach passed our job after inspecting it and officially stated that it met all current Plumbing Codes and Standards. I have literally thousands of satisfied customers in the South Orange County area, and even here on Angie's List your review will raise eyebrows as it so extremely far from what happened in reality. We demanded that your on-site supervisor point out every area exactly where you wanted your termination points, so to say that our work was off measurement and off center is ridiculous, unless of course you changed your minds once AGAIN mid-project and decided to put a bathroom on your front lawn. Your wife/partner met me on the jobsite. This was a home that had no walls, was completely demo'd and down to bare concrete on all the floors. I was given a set of plans and at the same time told that there were things that were not decided upon yet. This is the first contradiction. I realize that it is most peoples ambition to build their dream house, but qualified General Contractors do this kind of work for a reason and it should not have been attempted by anyone other than that. You have given us a C for our Pricing, yet when your partner/wife signed with us I was told it was because we had the best price. You have given us a D for Quality, yet our job passed all inspections required by the City. Your job was for rough plumbing only. We were not contracted to put in your fixtures after the house was finished being built. Instead of having your wife/partner play General Contractor, you should have hired a true professional that understands the finished depths of walls and floors. I understand that you probably went through a lot of frustration and it is VERY easy to throw the blame on the "guys" that are not on the jobsite any longer because their work was completed. You have given us an F for Responsiveness, yet even when we were called back out there to do a section of the piping a 2nd time, we were there the very next day. Did I charge you for this???? No. I figured since we were meeting the Inspector anyways to perform a gas test that we would take care of this for you....Did I complain that your Supervisor should have told us the 1st time that where we ran pipes you now wanted to put air conditioning units??? No....I just had the guys take care of it. You have given us a D on Punctuality, yet my crews arrived between 8-9am everyday....just as they do on EVERY jobsite throughout California. You have given us an F for Professionalism, attempted to tarnish our name and claim that we do not hold true to our pricing (which is laughable)..........so lets just talk about what REALLY happened........ Your wife/partner requested a certain amount of gas piping to be installed. When I was called out the 2nd time, I was told that she might have someone else do the installation of the 2 water heaters but that she wanted the pricing for those AND the associated gas lines just in case she wanted to have us do them at the last minute. Toward the end of the job, Your on-site supervisor told us he had been in contact with your wife/partner and asked us to run the piping. As it came time to render final payment, your wife/partner refused to understand the difference between installing the heaters and running the gas lines and refused to pay. Since I employ people in the office to take care of these kind of matters, I left it in their capable hands. Whether or not it ever ended up getting paid or if you got the work done for free I have not checked on, nor do I care at this point. Your review of our work is not based in reality and your attempts to ruin our top ranking status here on Angies List is just immature. Thank God that your review stands out like a sore thumb from the other 100+ reviews that would whole heartedly disagree with your non fact based opinions.......... We where very happy with the price that we paid. Much more reasonable than anyone else we could find. However when Chris came out to the home he told us that there would be a plumbing crew here on Monday. Monday rolled around and all we got was one very hard working plumber that stayed 12 hours each day for two days. Would have been nice if there where two and then it could have been one 8 hour day and one 4 hour day. We didn't pass inspection with the city the first time because they didn't put hammer arrestors on the hot water to the dishwasher and for the hot & cold on the washer. So of course that meant that we where delayed a day. They did come back out and take care of it and then we passed inspection, but it was a inconvenience to the household. When we finally got to the plastering of the inside and the stucco on the outside the crew had arrived two hours late. They where coming from LA and evidently they stayed on the 5 instead of jumping on the 99. It happens. So this had them working in the dark so they could finish it in one day and not have to spend the night in a hotel and finish the next day. Would have preferred them to finish the next day because the stucco could have looked better. They did a great job of plastering on the inside though.
Description of Work: Complete house repiped. Portions of walls had to be taken out and re-plastered. Some outside walls had to be opened up and stucco re-applied.

Dear Homeowner, Thank you so much for your review. Although your job was slightly less than perfect, we are happy that you understand that we are only human. Unfortunately, especially in a company with over 150 employees, some days people call in sick. We know your time is valuable, so instead of postponing your job we choose to continue to do our very best. Some days there are back ups on freeways and some days there are not. These are the things that happen everyday that affect any business, but we deal with these things as best we can as the issues arise. We are very happy that you are satisfied with the end result and especially with the price that you paid. We will use your particular job as a learning experience for what the Inspectors in your area wish to see in regards to the plumbing systems. Apparently we are already scheduled to repipe one of your neighbors on the same street in Bakersfield. I sincerely hope that you are content in the knowledge that you do not have to worry about anymore leaks in your plumbing system and that after you have painted you will not be able to tell where any wall openings were made. As in all of our projects, if there is any portion of the job that you are not satisfied with, you need only call us to let us know and we will be back there just as quickly to make sure that you are happy. Sincerely, Jim Michaelson General Manager

One of a few remodeling job where the experience was great. Chris who provided the quote answer all my questions and left me all the information to review. There was no pressure to sign anything up front. After making the decision to go with Repipe 1, the crew showed up on time and began work. The crew made sure to protect our personal items since we had small kids. They kept me informed of what they were doing at all time. Once the installation was done, they scheduled an inspection followed by patch work. During the patching, a small leak was found in one of the bathroom shower. They had the crew lead come back and fix the leak before patching was completed. After the patching was done, the inspector came out again to ensure all was well. The patcher did a fantastic job of duplicating the decorate patterns on our walls. After each day, the crew clean up their work and hauled away everything at the end of the job. Highly recommended.

If ever there was a time I could be happy writing about a household repair that set me back nearly $7,000, this is that time. Here in south Orange County, CA, we have a big problem. The local water is eating our copper pipes. After four incidents in seven years, I had had enough, and decided to bite the bullet. Further, I decided to (finally) join Angie?s List because, with so much at stake, I thought the investment was justified. After seeking quotes from reliable and reputable local plumbers, I found and contacted Repipe1. The quotation process was simple and fast, and the ?package? Repipe1 provided was, well, impressive. They include detailed information about the product (PEX, or cross-linked polyethylene), an insurance certificate, their contractor?s license, details about the fittings system they use, a letter from the BBB, an award from Angie?s List, and a certificate of lifetime guarantee. If one had any concerns going in, for the most part they were allayed in the first meeting. Next, the work. From start to finish it was very smooth. These folks have their program together. From the guys showing up on time, to the care they took to cover our household items, to the meticulous manner in which they did the work, to the clean-up. The office, and in particular ?Tina,? do a terrific job as well. Then there?s Jim Michaelson. Jim is the GM who quoted the job. He was always there for me, and very receptive when I called. It?s hard to imagine that re-piping one?s home could be a pleasant experience. Working with Repipe1 was exactly that. I could not endorse them more highly.

Repipe1 quoted us almost half what two competing companies quoted for the same job. They started work 3 days after the quote and finished in three days. The crew was prompt, professional, cleaned up after themselves and did an overall outstanding job. They worked in a tiny crawlspace and even came on Saturday and worked into the night to get the job done in the time frame quoted. We did not move out of the house during work and we had working plumbing and drains at the end of each working day. The guy who came to do the wall patching was really outstanding too. Absolutely no complaints. Outstanding.

They cleaned up their mess and knew what they were doing and had a lot of practical experience. They were not guessing as to what had to occur; they knew the job that had to be done. What they did they did really well and what I did not like, I really did not like. The head office responded very quickly; they were good at that.
Description of Work: I used Repipe 1 to re-pipe my house. They disconnected the existing piping, broke holes in the walls and then re-piped taking the existing plumbing in the slab and running it up through my walls through the ceiling of the house. They then connected everything back up.

Overall it went great. They came and gave me a quote and were not pushy at all. After we scheduled a date for the work they arrived on time, completed the project in one day. Then they scheduled the inspector to come out, after the inspection they came out and did the patch work. After they final inspection they called one more time to ensure everything went well. They had outstanding customer service from everyone in the company and throughout the entire project.
Description of Work: They and repiped my entire house. They did a great job not only with the work, but also respecting my family and our home. When they were on time, very friendly and constantly keeping us in the loop of what was going on with our project.

The techs were scheduled to arrive at 8.00 am but they actually were here by 730. By 9.00 they had sussed out what they needed to do and how they were going to do it. They told me they could finish it in a day if i didnt mind having my water shut off until 7.30 or so,which i had no problem with. True to there word they were packed up by 7.25,after working all day[on a Saturday no less] in blistering heat. Repipe had already pulled the permits and scheduled the appointment for the city inspector for Monday and there drywall patch/repair guy came on Tuesday as scheduled. In a word...Awesome!
Description of Work: Full repipe of the house with PEX tubing.

This was my first major update to my house and could not have had a better outcome. I called for an appointment and they showed up on time, a plus in my opinion, and were extremely friendly. They gave me a quote for the whole house re-pipe and I set a start date. Again, on time, and performed exactly as promised. The sections where a small part of the wall had to be removed were patched up so well it's difficult to even tell it was opened up. I also chose to have the main line updated to copper as well, which was a smart move. They were punctual, honest, and the end result is amazing. I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed.
Description of Work: I had the whole house re-piped with PEX and had the main water line updated to copper.

I did my homework and concluded on Repipe!. Outstanding job.
Description of Work: I saw the reviews on all media sources and saw a few on another review site that spoke negatively about Repipe1. I wrote a letter to the owner who promptly responded. Try to get the owner of another company to do that... Anyway, I really liked the fact the owner took an interest in all aspects of his company. I contracted with Repipe one and had an outstanding experience. The workers were a family and really were pleasant to deal with. When the city came by to inspect the repipe job the inspector commented it was the best job he had seen.... The drywall guys were also exceptional. They stayed late to try to fiish the job and when they knew they couldn't, they returned the next day for a few hours to make sure I was happy. I am a tough customer to please, but I would recommend Repipe1 to anyone who has to tackle a repipe job.
