The sales representative came and was very polite and knowledgible. I thought repipe meant replacing both the pipes for the incoming water and the outgoing fluids. Luckily, I asked to be sure, because repipe only means replacing the pipes for the incomiing water and I needed the whole thing replaced - the plumbing was from the late 1940s with a few repair patches. The sales rep walked through the house and explained what would happen. The plumbers came on time and were professional, friendly, and efficient. They did everything with a minimum of fuss. They were done in two days, as promised. They cleaned up after themselves. The inspector came the next day and the work passed without a problem. On Monday, the man came to do all the patching. He also came on time and did a splendid and efficient job. He cleaned up after himself. The end price was exactly what they said - no surprises. I have had no trouble with the plumbing since. In fact, I can't believe how fast everything drains now and how quickly I get hot water. It is such a joy to turn on the faucet and get clear water. Before they came, the rust was so bad the water was often orange and thick. I have had trouble with earlier plumbers talking instead of working, not fixing the problem, talking down to me and in one case, making inappropriate advances. The people with Repipe 1 were a refreshing change. I highly recommend them.

Repipe 1 sent over a supervisor to our house and do a walk through and check out the existing plumbing. He was very nice and gave us a bid that was right in line with what was advertised. We decided to have the work done after he explained to us the whole process. He promised that the work crew would be careful not to get dust all over our furniture. The workers came out the first day and finished all the plumbing. They were very nice but not every one of them spoke English. We had no problem getting the permit approved. Overall it was a very good experience.

Dear Customer ~ Thank you so much for taking the time to post your review. We currently employ 18 plumbing crews to handle the 50 homes a week that we are now repiping. Our crews, although they are legal residents, come from every corner of the globe. Our guys may not be the best conversationalists, but they are the best workers and are very skilled at this specialty area of plumbing. We make sure that each Crew Captain is completely able to communicate with a homeowner, however the remainder of the crew is there to fulfill a purpose, as you have now witnessed. We are very happy that you were satisfied with the work and we would like to especially thank you for the Page of Happiness nomination !!! Sincerely~ Jim Michaelson General Manager REPIPE 1

I had a bid 2 years ago and due to circumstances could not go ahead with the work until now. Repipe 1 honored the bid and the work began on July 19th. A crew of about 5 showed up and got right to work. Everything went smoothly and quickly. There was a slight delay in getting the inspector out to do the inspection but by July 23rd the inspection was complete and the next day the patching was done and also a good job. I noticed that the water pressure was not what I expected, so I called Jim and he sent someone out immediately. He turned up the water pressure so that it is perfect now and also eliminated the hum from the hoses. I am very happy with the job and I am very happy with the responsiveness of Jim at Repipe1. I strongly recommend them.

Start time was agreed 9 a.m. this past January. This is a rental, the woman needs to get ready for work, they arrived 820 a.m. After completion four days later the woman called complaining no hot water. I called Repipe 1 no plumber until 10 a.m. She called emergency service and it was fixed within 30 minutes. Cost $70.00. I asked for discount of $70.00 they said no. Which made me unhappy. The woman was a senior. I do all I can for my tenants. As time has gone on I've noticed they caused two major problems. The first one they resolved but the second has been over 8 months and they still have not fixed the issue. This is very frustrating.

I was referred to this company by a longtime friend that had to get his place repiped earlier in the month. He had said that they were reasonable and came out the same day. I found this to also be true and they came out to give me an in person estimate about two hours after I first called. I thought them very polite, knowledgeable and honest. I felt so comfortable I had them install a new a Water heater for me at the same time. The entire project took four days and I felt totally at ease the whole time. The owner "Danny" actually took the time after the job was done to make sure I was happy! I was very pleased.

We own a 4 unit building in the city of Glendale, CA and we used Repipe One to re-pipe the mainline from the street to the meter of the property. Joe luca was the contact person and he originally gave us a quote that was much less than the other quotes we received. We were in a hurry to start the job but ended up having scheduling issues because there backlog of jobs was full. Joe Luca worked with us and got us a start date that was exactly one week from the initial estimate. The company sent out two separate crews to make sure the plumbing gets done in one day, we didn’t want to have the leak continue and inconvenience our tenants for more than a day. The guys worked hard and finished up the work by 8pm that night. The city inspected the work the following day and the 2nd crew showed up the same evening to start closing the trench. The 2nd crew worked the following day and made sure the grass looked good and the concrete was re-concreted (or whatever you would call it) and they left. We had a final inspection the 5th day (the inspector was impressed) and we finished the job. We hope to never have to replace any more pipes in the future but if another problem comes up, we will call Joe.

Overall this project went very well. They repiped the whole house (4,200 sq feet) in one day although it took until 9PM but I would have rather had them work late than come back a second day. It would have been useful for them to provide more guidance about house/garage prep prior to the project as this would have saved the team some time. They also did not pull the permit so inspection could be done the day after the repipe (emplyee sick) so I had to wait unti Monday for inspection which delayed drywall repair until Tuesday. This was an inconvenience as it delayed another remodeling project that is going on at the house. They also do not replace the shower risers which I was a little confused about since the contract was for a complete repipe but they subsequently gave me a credit for that. Drywall repairs were done well and this also took most of the day. Workers were very diligent and hard working. Overall I am satisfied with the project. Water pressure is greatly improved and I don't have to worry about leaks from defective copper pipe from China that was previously in the house.

I was glad that my husband found this company through a referral from one of his friends. My husband works 7am-7pm and does not leave enough time for him to do any improvements on our home. We hired Repipe1 because a family friend had found them on Angies list and came highly recommended using the company. His friend was thinking of using Repipe1 for his own home but wasn't ready; we actually hired them before he had the chance to do his house. The sales man offered us the online special for $3699.00 for 2bath home over the phone, but unfortunately our home is a 4 bathroom house and we could not use that special. Long story short I had received an estimate from one other company and their price was a little high compared to Repipe1. Chris, the sales men left us the contract and I told him I will have my husband call him when he gets in from work. Chris was very understanding and did not push the sale at all, he gave me his card and left. My husband called Chris to schedule the plumbers and he said they can start in 3 days ( Tuesday). Moving forward to the day of repipe, the plumbers showed up and explained what they were going to do before starting the job. The worked hard all day till 6pm and they notified me that we will have water for the night in 2 bathrooms and kitchen, I was glad we had water over night as its very difficult to live in a home without proper plumbing. The 2nd day the same crew came out 8:30am and finished the job by 5pm. This is when Tina from the scheduling department called and notified me of the inspection for the next day and asked that I call her when inspector passed the job so that she can schedule the 2nd crew (patchers) to cover the drywall. the patchers finished in 2 days and also included an area that was opened due to another issue we had prior the repipe that we forgot to show Chris. The patching was acceptable, we had the crew come back to texture one area inside the closet that they missed. They scheduled this the next day, and after this I just have to find a painter to match the paint colors and put this project behind us. Hiring a contractor is never fun but Repipe1 did a good job. We have rental property that we might repipe in the next couple years and we will call Chris when ready.

I had other estimates for much higher with completion date of at least 1 week. Repipe 1 did it for almost half the cost and they told me that they would do it in 3 days and they ended up doing it in 2 days. The job was very clean and they even patched all the walls. I got PEX which I am very glad and happy with. It is much better than copper because the water pressure is more even than how it used to be and with living in California and having earth quakes it is much safer as they can move around without cracking. Overall I give this company two thumbs up. I have dealt with contractors before and it has always been a headache these guys are #1 in customer service. I even called a month after because my water pressure was not good and they came down right away and even though it had nothing to do with their job, they re-adjusted my pressure regulator in the back yard.

My experience with Repipe1 was very pleasant overall. My parents have a 2 bath single story home in Woodland Hills and their water bill was very high two months in a row! They finally asked me if the city increased their prices for water and showed me the bill. I was furious that they waited this long to say something. I called a family friend/plumber and he said we have a very slow leak in our slab and to find a re-piping company as he didn?t have the manpower to do the job. I Googled re-pipe and Repipe1 popped up along with a couple other companies. We interviewed 4 re-pipers and decided to go with Repipe1 due to price and good reviews they received on Angie's List.com. Plumbers: The plumbers arrived at 9:12am on a Monday morning and started to prep for their demo. My mom was a bit worried when they started to open the holes but I got them to leave the house so they wouldn?t bother the plumbers. The guys finished a little late (around 7pm) but everything was completed and the water was back on. The inspector showed up the next day and passed us with a small correction that wasn?t related to the plumbing. Patching: The patcher arrived earlier then the plumber and started to cover our furniture. The ?crew? was a single guy but I helped him cover some spots that required two people to cover and he got to work. Armen was his name and he worked like a warhorse! I was very pleased with his work. The patches looked very natural and blended well. He also finished up around 6pmand left. The inspector didn?t show up for a final inspection as I was told but instead we received some paperwork in the mail with a final sign off. I tried to get Repipe1 to paint the walls as well but they wouldn?t budge. I hired another company and it was all done by that weekend. Overall we had a great experience and I would recommend using this contractor.

Everything went really well. My water pressure was so bad and I had just reached my limit. I got a mailer with an AD from Repipe1 just before the 4th of July and called them over for an estimate. Chris came out the next day and was very knowledgeable and explained how everything would go. I guess the house still had its original galvanized steel plumbing. A crew of four guys came over and finished the actual plumbing in one day. The next day the patchers came and finished my walls. I was especially pleased with the quality of the patchers work. The third day we had an inspection and everything passed. I would recommend these guys to anyone especially if you have bad water pressure. They delivered as promised.

Dear Customer ~ Thank you so much for your kind words....... As you know, you are not the first home that we have repiped in your gated community in Southern Orange County, but it is always wonderful to hear that we still have the right formula in place. While it is a shame that the homes in your community are not that old, you have made a wise choice to replace your copper with PEX piping. I am sure that 10 years ago nobody ever thought that copper would be giving homeowners their current problems with slab leaks and pinholes in the piping. Now you can rest assured that you will never have another. Even if by some bizarre circumstance you DID ever have a problem with the PEX, our Warranty will cover not only the repairs but the consequential damages, as well. I was happy to meet with you and even happier that I could provide you with names and phone numbers of your neighbors who have used REPIPE 1, but my greatest pleasure will be to add you to that list for the next potential customer. This is the evidence that we receive when a job goes as planned. You were very upfront with me about your concerns and doubts. I truly am extremely happy that you now feel the way you do. This is just one of the reasons why I hand pick each crew for each job, Please feel free to contact me at any time !!!!! Jim Michaelson General Manager HOA/COA Coordinator REPIPE 1

A four-man crew arrived as scheduled, and Andrew introduced everyone. They worked all day, creating far less dust than I expected. They cut under the bathroom sink rather than work through the wall in the adjoining room, which was what other plumbers said they would do. They even inserted a pan which I bought for the water heater and plumbed it. Somehow they got the water heater closet door to shut, something I could not do since a sloppy so-called contractor had worked on the house. I was impressed with the respect shown. They covered the floor, and put up a plastic sheet in the hallway as a sort of barrier to the dust (although not a perfect seal, very helpful nonetheless). When I wanted the front door to remain closed, a crew member unplugged the electric cord to their equipment which was in the doorway so as to accommodate my wish, and without an attitude. Whenever I asked a question (some of them stupid), they addressed it respectfully. You just don't see this anymore! Two members came by on another day to check on something I thought was not right, but it was right, I was just not seeing it. Tina at the office was extremely efficient, ordering everything needing ordering. She too was respectful even when I was a little confused about some things. Repipe1 is very prompt in their customer service, too. After their job, there was only a little soil in the bathtub and in one toilet, and a bit of small debris outside, not much. I only wish some outgoing plumbing was done at the same time, but this was a special. The two men doing the patchwork on the day after the first inspection work quickly. The entire job took less time than assessed. I am glad the sales representative did not over promise anything, but as it is, the job was done by the middle of day 3 (day 2 being set aside for the first inspection). I expect the final inspection to go well next week.
Description of Work: Replaced 60-year-old pipes with Pex in the kitchen (sink, dishwasher, refrigerator ice-maker ready), 1 1/2 bathrooms, laundry room, and water heater. Repiped 2 outside faucets, adding pressure regulator. Ordered permit, scheduled inspections, did needed patchwork.

The installers did all the work in one day which was a amazing task for a 3300 sq foot house, they showed up in full force with 5 guys all having there own assignments. Many holes as to be expected, the work started at 8:00am and they didn't leave till 11:00 pm. The pluming work I felt was done well . The mistake was to have them scheduled for Friday as the drywall repair guy would not be scheduled over the weekend so we were stuck with the damages walls and ceiling over the weekend. The real problem I had with Repipe one was that on Saturday we went to use the electric oven and it was not working so we called a appliance repair man who could not come till monday afternoon after the drywall guy was half done with the repairs only to learn that 1 half of the 220 volt line was dead. We called the Repipe company to explain and they sent a electrician who was in my eyes very inexperienced and was ill equipped for the job . I had to assist him for the 6 hour job that should have only taken maybe two if properly trained and equipped. He removed all the patched completed that day what was found was a severed 220 leg by the plumbers when installing the water line brackets. Now don't get me wrong I realize accidents happen but there is no way you cut through a 220 electrical line and not know it .The problem I have with Repipe one is that there was a lot of black residue next to the insulation indicating a huge flash , the lingering fire hazard was ignored .You cannot cut or drill through a live 220 volt line without being knocked off your ladder. No one said a word and they tried to cover it up . After the repair, I was never given an apology from upper management or any form of compensation for the inconvenience . I felt it was a failure of the company's integrity on every level by ignoring any responsibility for putting our home at risk . I have not had any problems with the pluming and in spite of the mess am glad the way the water lines were run . We did have to have the drywall repair guy return to redo some patches and that was fine but should have been done right the first time. In closing felt after all was finished and the house finally got back to normal we have not found any more problems but wonder if they will truly follow through with there so called lifetime guarantee if we ever need it. The grading is all over the map .Taking away the electrical issue and if there was a acknowledgement of the self created hazard by any level in the company they would have faired better . Personally I cannot recommend them based on that .

Dear Customer ~ In the interest of fairness, I feel it important to let anyone else who may be reading this maintain a complete picture of your assessment. We showed up on time, each time, and dealt with all of your issues yet you have decided to give us a C for punctuality and an F for responsiveness......... You claim to be impressed with our plumbing, yet you end your review by throwing doubts at our Lifetime Warranty. Perhaps, if you care to ever address this again in the future, you may wish to set a 5year and a 10year note for yourself so that you can add to your review that you have either had no leaks (as promised) or that you did have a leak and we came right back out there to take care of it. As I personally came to your home initially to introduce you to our company, I can remind you that it was by no mistake that your job was scheduled for a Friday. As you know, you have a rather unique and large home, and instead of wood, your home is made of metallic framing. You and I both showed concern over this and decided that a Friday would be best because it would leave a few days for you to take a look at everything before an Inspector would arrive on Monday. If you will remember, you had requested that we use different colored PEX for not only the hot and cold lines, but also for your recirculation line so that it would be easier for you to trace the lines. Do you remember this now??? You were not "stuck with the damages", you requested extra time to view the piping through the holes that were neatly cut in your home. Those holes were cut so neatly, that the exact same pieces went right back in after the Inspector passed our job. I am sure you must remember this now..... Yes, sometimes things DO happen, and when they do, my plumbers immediately call me. However, remembering that your home is made of metal studs, is it not possible that a previously stripped wire touched this metal framing as a result of your walls being opened and piping being removed and replaced????? This surely came to my mind when you called regarding your electrical issue, yet we still sent out a State Certified Electrician to your home immediately. This is someone that we have worked with in the past when homeowners have requested tankless waterheaters and recirculation pumps which require the services of an electrician. I apologize if you feel that he was not "knowledgeable or equipped", but I highly doubt that he actually required your help to get the job done.Nobody ignored any type of hazard in your home. I would think that it is more likely that the "flash" happened after drywall was put over this bare wire, and the wire must have touched your metallic framing.......you yourself have said that the drywall had to be removed to find the problem...... Since we came there immediately to fix a problem that truly might not have even been ours, I still do not understand how you can say that we ignored any responsibility. We have repiped several homes in your gated community before yours, and continue to repipe others after yours. I have a long list of satisfied customers that have volunteered their names and phone numbers to be given to any prospective customers. I am sorry that you would not recommend our company, but that does put you in somewhat of a minority grouping. Nobody repipes more homes in Southern Orange County than I do, and nobody comes close to our reputation for excellence and customer service. You have stated that our "grading is all over the map", yet looking at it currently, out of 143 reviews, 114 of them are A's and the other 29 are mostly B's. I just do not understand your perspectives, sir...... Jim Michaelson General Manager HOA/COA Coordinator REPIPE 1

Three-man work crew arrived on time and worked quickly and professionally to place an entirely new, underground 1-inch copper pipe as the new main water line to the house with a total run of about 60 feet. A new above ground isolation ball valve at the house for the underground sprinkler system was also installed, replacing an old gate valve (above ground isolating ball valve for the house had been previously installed by another contractor to replace a stuck gate valve). The work crew conscientiously protected the paver stone walkway under which they burrowed at two locations, the existing underground sprinkler system for shrubs and trees, and the surrounding, compacted decomposed granite surface previously in place for synthetic turf. Synthetic turf had been peeled aside by the turf contractor for this work to give Repipe 1 all the space needed to dig and pile dirt. Repipe 1's care to minimize impact on that surface greatly facilitated subsequent turf restoration by the synthetic turf company. All Repipe 1 work was completed in one day as promised. This included installation, leak testing of the main water line and the sprinkler system where impacted, trench back fill and site cleanup.
Description of Work: Replaced 35-year old, broken main water line from street side water meter to the house.

They seemed very responsive. The service was fast. They did everything that they said they were going to do. We did not have any complaints about them and they were really good.

We had a wonderful experience with the crew from Repipe 1. We scheduled an appointment for them to come look at the plumbing after seeing the Angie's List coupon for whole house repiping. Their rep (I think his name was Christopher) arrived on time, and was very efficient and thorough. He took time explaining their services and procedures in a straightforward way, and was able to schedule a start date a couple of days later. All of their work carries a lifetime warranty that transfers to the new owners if we ever sell the house. We couldn't believe how quickly the crew worked, and they were very careful to clean up after themselves. Unfortunately the job ran a bit longer than they originally anticipated, but they stayed late to make sure it was all completed. The city inspector complimented the quality of the work and noted several items where he said that they'd gone above and beyond what many plumbers will do when installing Pex (securing it to the studs, using copper fittings, etc). The drywall team came by the next day and had completely repaired all of the holes within hours. We are very happy with all of the work that Repipe 1 did and we would gladly recommend them to anyone! **Update** A quick update/clarification on the whole home repiping coupon. It includes the hot/cold water pipes only, not the drain pipes in your house. Perhaps this should have been obvious to me, but I assumed that the drain pipes would be repiped as well. In our case, we had very old galvanized pipes throughout the house, both water and drain pipes. Our drain coming out of the washer is totally rusted through and has since broken completely. I do wish that the Repipe 1 crew would have noted that before closing up the wall, but it seems that the drains are outside of their purview. I'm keeping the rating an A because we are still very pleased with the work that they did, and would gladly use them again. I just wanted to post this update as a heads up for anyone who may be considering purchasing the Big Deal coupon.

Well overall. Due to the holidays, there was a longer wait, for the City inspector, which made us wait with many holes everywhere after the repiping was completed. City of Mission Viejo did have prolonged period of time off!! There was loss of a part for the water softener that repipe 1 promised they would install with the repipe job; we feel one of their employees lost the part; we had Sears re send it to us, but repipe was long gone by then! They also missed covering the holes in the pantry and came back (the inspector had "passed" the job!!) to complete the patching.

Response from Repipe 1
Dear Customer ~ If you check your personal email, you will see that I responded to you personally just minutes after you posted this. Since I have not heard back from you over the past few days, I will attempt to reach you here...... I understand your frustration.......It is always stressful when we are at the mercy of the City Inspectors. They are like the judge in a courtroom, and are free to behave in what ever manner they choose. They have no compassion over the holidays, especially for a homeowner who had to have work done and just wants to get their house back in order. I appreciate you not blaming us for this........ We really want you to be as happy as possible........... I must admit, that this is the first I have heard about any problems on your job regarding any missing water softener pieces. If it is okay with you, I would like to know your "out of pocket" expense for the part that you had to purchase from Sears........ I would like to see you reimbursed for this, if possible, and perhaps you might realize that "Repipe 1 has not disappeared". On the contrary, we are in your zip code every day of every week, repiping more homes than any other company and even repiping entire gated communities....... I truly apologize for any inconvenience and would really appreciate the opportunity to change your mind about us, if possible......... Perhaps afterwards, you might see your way clear to changing your opinion of us on Angies List, but that truly has nothing to do with my offer to you. We would much rather make friends, than burn bridges.......... I humbly await your response..... Sincerely, Jim Michaelson General Manager

We couldn't believe how good these guys were... REALLY!! First, the estimate was very detailed and inclusive -- which I appreciated. AND the Estimator provided additional quality-related items without additional cost. Onsite, members of the various crews all spoke English. The workers showed up on time, got right to work, and did an OUTSTANDING job! VERY professional!! Angel, supervisor/lead for the piping crew, was amazing... He explained everything as the work progressed, oversaw all of the details, and made sure that the old piping was removed and recycled, that the tarps remained in place while the crew was working, that the jobsite was cleaned up at the end of the day, and that water was restored before his team left. He personally checked all of the welding, joints, connections, etc. Incredible attention to details!! They worked hard ALL DAY and completed the bulk of the work in a single day!! Next, the re-plaster/wall-repair crew was excellent!! They showed up on time, got right to work, and did an outstanding job!! What's the catch, right? Well, there was a glitch... But the problem wasn't really Repipe1's, it was the city inspector's. Nonetheless, Repipe1 went out of their way to make things right and to make my husband & I happy. I have a background in construction, myself, and I am very picky with regard to how I want things done and about the people that I do business with. I can absolutely, and without reservation, recommend the re-piping services provided by Repipe1.
Description of Work: The provider completely re-piped our 1950s-vintage home.

Great to work with. Scheduled, came in and finished the job, worked in obtaining permits and inspections, signed off and patched up the walls. They seem to have a system for repiping homes and it works.
Description of Work: repipe entire supply line for the house. Includes 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machines.
