The crew that replaced the pipes were very good. There is plaster on light fixtures, plants, doors and appliances.
Description of Work: We had a slab leak and RePipe1 was very responsive coming out right away and moving us up in their work list in order to take care of our situation.

In early December 2013, standing in the downstairs bathroom, my wife heard the sound of flowing water—it was the same sound you might hear when a shower is running. The sound was continuous, and noticeable for a week or more—I could hear the sound too but dismissed it. Then, on December 22, 2013, with the help of several neighbors, we determined that a break had occurred in the hot water pipe as it passed under the slab below our downstairs bathroom. I located Repipe 1 via a web search. Chris came to our house the day after I called. I have rarely met a company representative who gave me such confidence in a company’s product or service—after speaking with him I was totally comfortable with my decision to have Repipe 1 do the job. I give them an outstanding recommendation on their integrity, efficiency, and the quality of their work. Note: We repiped with PEX, a high-density cross-linked polyethylene flexible piping, rather than copper, to save $2,200, after becoming convinced of its suitability for this task. Our house is a 2,967 sq ft house built in 1980; several of the other 21 homes on our Newbury Park street have had under-slab breaks. The cost of repiping our house with PEX piping cost $5,950 plus repainting costs (we used our own painters) of $1,017 for a total of $6,967. Insurance did not cover the cost. I describe below the sequence of events that occurred. Day 0: I prepped for repiping by moving furniture away from walls, taking down pictures, and most importantly emptying items under all sinks and in all closets that backed up onto a shower wall. Day 1: This Monday morning a crew of five arrived at 8 am, left at 5 pm, and we had hot water once again. They knew exactly what had to be done. They started at the point where the water enters the house, installed a new pressure relief valve, cut the pipe there that goes under the slab, and diverted the water through the wall into the living room, up the wall into the ceiling, and across the entry way. From there, they routed lines into the family room and kitchen, and also into the hot water heater in the garage. A key distribution point now exists over above the downstairs hall closet, where two manifolds (hot and cold) distribute water into the upstairs. The crew cut 65 holes into the walls, ceilings, and under sinks; new water supply lines for all sinks and toilets were installed. Six holes in the stucco on the rear of the house were made to service the kitchen plumbing. Day 2: The job was inspected. Repipe 1 pulls permits—it’s automatic and included in the bid. Ken, the Thousand Oaks city inspector, approved the work with three caveats (not described here, as they were relatively minor). Day 5: No one came on Wednesday or Thursday. Manuel and Ramiro, drywall repairmen, arrived at 9:15 am and left at 5:30 pm. They patched 44 (of the 65) holes inside and secured the wire mesh and paper outside. For the repairs, they used the drywall pieces that had been cut out during the repiping. After repairing the holes, they textured to match the adjacent surfaces. Day 8: Painting commenced. Our painters painted areas that were patched on Friday. They completed the task by day’s end and had high compliments for the quality of the patching. “Among the best I’ve seen,” said painter Bill. Day 9: Manuel and Ramiro returned and completed all remaining drywall and stucco patching work. Inspector Ken examined the lath and confirmed the moisture barrier had been properly repaired. The drywall repairmen finished stuccoing the outside and repaired the remaining drywall holes—11 in the garage and 10 upstairs. Day 10: Bill and Scott Pennock completed the painting of the 21 drywall holes and the outside stucco; they praised the stucco texturing job. Day 11: Final inspection occurred and I paid the balance. The City inspector looked only at the stucco; he too thought the stucco job was first class. I have an important suggestion to anyone contemplating repiping using Repipe 1: Be prepared to clean up some mess: Cutting holes in walls leaves a dust carpet on horizontal surfaces. Spraying of texturing after drywall patching leaves texture on adjacent surfaces. I spent hours cleaning floors, counters, and tables, wiping overspray off walls, and removing texturing imperfections with a scraper to keep the painters’ bill down, by freeing them from having to bill me for time spent cleaning up the unavoidable mess left behind by the drywall patchers. However, today there is not one scintilla of physical evidence that our house has been repiped. All patching and texturing was first class. And we used painters, whom we have known for years, whose work was top notch.
Description of Work: The company repiped our house after an under-slab hot water pipe break.

I really trust them. They are very professional and came in quickly. The price is very reasonable for the quality of work that they do.
Description of Work: They did a full house re-pipe. They had to take the pipes out of the slab. They came back and did all the re patching from the holes they had to make. They also redid the texture on the walls. They also changed out some of the fixtures. I am having some mold issues and they said they would not close up the wall and wanted me to get it checked and then they said they would come back and fix the hole.

One issue that we had was the repipe installer wanted to route some pipe outside of the house. This was totally unacceptable from an aesthetic and architectural perspective. They, however, did a fast job on patching the walls. I was given a good consultation on the benefits of PEX versus copper repiping.

Repipe wasn't the right vendor for the job we needed done. However, Miguel their technician, was the first to point that out and steer me in the right direction. (We needed something done that repipe doesn't do I mistakenly called them for an estimate.) I just want to point out that Honesty and Integrity in this business is just as important as price and services provided. I would definitely call Repipe 1 in the future for work and recommend them to others.

I am overall very pleased with the work and especially the price that Repipe 1 did. I guess the weakest part of the job would be the plastering of some of the walls, but that wasn't bad really. The plasterer asked me to check on the quality of his work before he left and I didn't inspect it carefully. I just touched up a couple of minor spots with a sanding block. No big deal. The price was at least $1000 less than anyone else for my 4 bedroom, 2 bath plus laundry. I also had them install a pressure regulator for $175 more. Quality hardware used and attentive workers.

Very easy... showed up on a Fri at 7:30 am and left at 7:30 (for the repipe only) but they surprised us with 80 plus holes in the walls. The drywall was done the Monday after Another long day of 10 hours. Very few drywall problems. But you really can't see it until after it gets painted. We hired a painting crew to paint We had to paint 80% of the inside walls. We didi not know they would put holes out side but we had 4 holes in the outside wall behind the kitchen sink. But it seemed needed so they would not have to remove kitchen cabinets.

The job was really well done and the people were quick, they got here on time. They did a great job of putting in the plumbing and fixing everything. Once I talked to Sam all of my questions were answered. They came out even after I paid for the plumbing. They helped us figure out what to do next with our plumbing from 1956. They were just great, we are very pleased.

We were very pleased...they came when they said they would and we had contact with the workers at all time. The people who did the piping then coordinated with the people who would deal with all the dry wall and paint.

We bought our house 10 years ago, and the plumbing just wasn't right. The water was always brown. We had been putting off correcting the plumbing because we thought it would cost too much. Now we want to sell the house, so we thought we'd better get it taken care of. We found 2 companies in the Yellow Pages and Repipe 1 on Angie's List. The other companies could only provide the plumbing, not opening up the walls or closing them back up. The folks at Repipe 1 assured us that they would do everything, including getting the necessary permits. To make a sweet offer even sweeter, they were half the price as the "other guys." The estimators showed up on time. The plumber showed up on time. The drywaller showed up on time. The only person who didn't show up on time was the inspector; the company mistakenly pulled a permit for the city instead of the county. However, the mistake was quickly rectified and the county inspector showed up 2 days later. He was in a rush and left before he could find the shut-off valve for the water heater, so he had to come back the next day. After that, we got our permit approved it was smooth sailing afterward. We love Repipe 1!
Description of Work: The professionals with Repipe 1 came out and gave us an estimate, honored our coupon with Angie's List, sent out their plumber and drywall/plaster professional. We had our house re-piped. It was an amazing and very satisfying experience.

We were very happy with the work done by Repipe 1. Team Lorenzo (Rogelio, Luis, Santiago) did a fantastic job. They were professional, hard-working, and really seemed to care about doing excellent work. They even double checked their work when they finished. It got messier than I expected when they cut holes in the walls, so be prepared if you are a neat freak like me. Kim from the office arranged everything with city inspector and kept me well-informed. Tina contacted water department herself. I didn't even have to lift a finger. Really, I felt like they were trying to impress me. The repatch team did a meticulous job and were very careful about covering the work area. Everyone we had contact with, even Ken, our consultant, went above and beyond and we couldn't be happier. Overall we were very satisfied with the work done and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had used Repipe 1's services before and was pleased with them. This time, however, there was no attention given to cover furnishings, and although a drop cloth was used, the floor was quite soiled and even chipped in one spot. (I know Repipe carries insurance, but the floor job would involve too much and I am not pursuing this issue). I also detected a fitting that was not tight enough and had some water seeping out. Repipe 1 sent a man out quickly to remedy that, even though the following morning fell on a Sunday (had I been sure that I wouldn't have damaged something else fixing that, I would have done so myself). Also, the shower door was pushed off its track (nevertheless an easy fix). The plumbers did not clean up after themselves. The patchers, however, were very skilled and did clean up. I also had to hire a different plumber to look at a blockage in the sewer itself, and in the process he discovered that whoever had installed the toilet (not Repipe 1) did a sloppy job and there was not a tight seal. I wonder if Repipe's plumbers should have noticed that. I came away with the impression that Repipe just gave these 2 plumbers a company tee shirt and use of a truck for the day. Their MO was different, and they did not even have the sheet for the inspector to sign off. When I asked for the sheet, I got a blank look, then a phony reply. Repipe 1 will address this review, I am sure, which I think is a good thing. *** UPDATE 10/25/13: Repipe 1 called me to see how they could make me more satisfied after this experience. It was stated that the toilet seal would not have been noticed during a drain replacement. Sam at Repipe offered a $50 discount for the extra work I had to do to clean up after the plumbers. He also had Tina (who is really great) arrange for a man to come out that day to patch an area on the opposite side of the wall where the washer was, which was slightly damaged during the work but was not noticed until later. It is clear that Repipe takes pride in its work and strives to make their customers happy, so although I still wonder about the two plumbers who came out, I upgrade this rating.

First let me say that I have researched several re-piping plumbers on Angie's list and RE-pipe 1 was the most responsive and attentive I've come across. I've been a little hesitate to even contact any contractors at all because of an highly unpleasant experience with a previous contractor. Ken was my project manager, and he put me at ease right away. He arrived when he said he would and the work began when he said it would. He handled all the paperwork and financing. The plumbing crew arrived a little late because of a scheduling conflict through the front office, but once there, they worked diligently into the evening of the first day, which was spent mostly prepping for the second day of work. They arrived on time the second day and worked well into the evening with only minimal time spent on breaks. The plumber and his helper where very methodical about how they proceeded and I was without my bathroom only short periods of time each day they were there. After the main work was completely, which was the re-pipe of the main house, they proceeded to do the main drains lines. Once that was completed, the plumber did find that I had some other issues that he discussed with the main office. We settled on a price on the other issues and the work for that only took 1 additional day. Please keep in mind that I was never under any obligation or pressure to do any additional work. I specifically asked the plumber to check certain things for me. The house was built in 1937 and the plumbing reflected that,so there was much work that needed to be done. At any point I could have signed off on the work that had been completed and been done with it. What I needed to be done had been completed on time and to my extreme satisfaction. However since I was already in the mist of the work I figured I may as well get it all done now. They were fast, efficient and reliable. And they did not disappoint. I trusted Ken from the very beginning as he did not try to SALE me on anything I did not need. The prices he quoted me remained the same throughout the work and never changed because of unforeseen events. I would have RE-pipe 1 do the work again if I needed it done. I would recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing work. Thank you for the pleasant experience.

One day to complete all the home repiping. second day to install new 1 inch copper main and half a day to patch walls. I had one issue with noise from the hose bib and a very minor leak. They were scheduled to correct the following Saturday. After the appointment, I called as the plumber did not arrive and was told he needed to reschedule. I fixed the leak myself, which was from the drain, not their work after all! The plumber came on Sunday and replaced the hose bib. I was not aware of that as the office did not tell me that that issue was already resolved. So, there are some communication issues that could be improved...but the work and price were excellent. The plumber came back again on Tuesday to ensure that all issues were resolved and plumbing was working properly. I would recommend Repipe1 to all.

Repipe1's estimate was two thousand dollars less than one bid, and over five thousand less than another bid, and included pulling the permit and calling the inspector after each step of the process, as well as patching and texturing the walls?something the highest bid didn't even include! Everyone was on time, very professional, and worked in an efficient and timely manner. We had been told the job would take five days and in reality it was completed in three. The repipe was done on the first day and two wires were accidentally cut in the garage wall. The job supervisor made sure we had power and told us to get an electrician out to repair the cuts properly. Repipe1 deducted the cost of the repair from the remaining balance. After we decided to go with Repipe1, our scheduler Greg came out a second time just to reassure me about what to expect and how I might better protect the contents of our house during the process. Whenever we needed to speak with Tina in the office she was quick with the information and very patient and kind as was Sam in accounting. Most of all, the crews who did the repipe and the walls afterward were wonderful. They were very professional and knowledgable about all facets of the job and were very patient with our thirteen year old golden retriever who would sometimes place herself underfoot despite our best efforts. Finally, the two different inspectors we met told us that Repipe1 was the best in the business and that we would be very satisfied with their work. We couldn't agree more.

Prior to selecting Repipe 1, I had called two other companies but only Repipe 1 was the only one who provided a complete sales kit with all items pertaining to the job. Staff arrived on-time and very pleased they all wore clean uniforms. Work was completed in one day and very professionally. Very impressed with team leader Israei who coordinated all members very efficiently. The Big Deal was for repiping the house with Pex tubing. Since my house is on a slab, Repipe 1 said that the pipes would have to be on the outside of the house. Therefore, Pex tubing was not an option. They offered to use copper tubing for the same price but I wanted the pipes to be inside the walls. Unfortunately, they said that would cause extensive damage . I realized that this Big Deal was not going to work for me. Repipe 1 graciously contacted Angie's List to refund my money. I appreciated their honesty and my prompt refund. I will certainly use them for any future plumbing needs.

The President of the company is very accessible as I called him before accepting their bid. He was responsive to my concerns. Everyone involved in the entire operation were very punctual, professional and clean. The plumbers (Manny and team) were especially neat and cleaned up after they were done. Each employee knew exactly what his responsibility was and went right to work. They were fast and quiet (no loud music which I especially appreciated). Each group plumbers and patchers finished on time and even ahead of expected schedule. No accidents or mishaps as I experienced with MasterServ with my previous home. (Foot thru ceiling, dropped equipment so hard in attic that the globe on ceiling fan broke glass table top) Their attitude was no big deal it can be fixed. This experiernce was like night and day compared with the previous company. I am thrilled to refer Repipe 1 to my friends and family. They care about doing a good job and were awesome. Far beyond my expectations.

The city inspector came out and signed the job off and did not even say a single word. I will refer this firm to my neighbor who is complaining about a slab leak too. I got three estimates and the prices are all within the same range.....plus or minus five percent but these guys are right on target from start to finish. This firm is planned out really well and understand the process of a Repipe.

Repipe 1 was the best contractor that ever worked on my house. I have done many home improvement projects at my house and never had such a stand up company work at my house. They stuck to their initial price and stood to the time frame that they promised me. I will have my mothers house repiped next year as well.
